  • Hp pavilion zv6000 "no audio output devise is installed"

    Hi
I have a big problem with my HP Pavilion zv6000. It`s a very old notebook but was working fine till i install win7 ultimate.
I understand that HP doesn`t have drivers for win7 but i hope that you will have some decision for me.
The problem is that i don`t have keyboard and no audio output device installed.
When i go to start menu > device manager > i don`t have audio, speakers and sound ( i don`t really remember what was ) and i cannot fix the problem from there. When i go to troubleshooting, cannot find and fix the problem. And i can`t find driver for win7 ultimate for HP pavilion zv6000.
The other problem is my keyboard. I saw some solve problems like this here in the forum i downloading HP QUICK LUNCH BUTTON and i install this but i doesn`t work again. I deinstall this and i install sp44777 again the same no working, and i try is well sp845(something) again recommended by you but it doesn`t work again.
I really don`t know what to do next. Please if have any chance to help me i will be very pleased and happy.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Regards Mimi

    Hi, Mimi:
Try this audio driver for your notebook. It is for Windows Vista but it should work on Windows 7.

I would try the quick launch button driver made for your machine. They are for Windows Vista so again, they should work on Windows 7.

  • Help Please!! no audio output device installed?

Hi. I have a satellite A215-S4757 last night I installed some windows updats  went to bed because it was going to take awhile. When I got it had finished and was in sleep mode. When I turned it on I noticed the sound was on mute. Or I thought it was. When I attempted to turn the sound on I recieved the message "No audio output device installed". I updated BIOs 2.30 but that didnt work. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it!
    Thanks

Try this!  Looks like you have Realtek audio.  I was having the same problem until I installed the updated Realtek driver directly from Realtek site.
As many users have posted, I was having this problem with my Satellite L505-S5990. I tried most of the suggestions I could find here and on the 'net to no avail. I was surprised to see that this problem affected many laptop brands - even as far back as Windows XP!!
Last week I think I finally found the answer (or at least Realtek did). My laptop has Realtek HD audio, and the drivers that came with laptop seemed to be the culprit. I checked the Realtek site last week, and they have an updated driver, dated 3/30/2010, for Windows 7 as well as other versions of Windows. It is Version 2.46.
I downloaded and installed these drivers, switched back to going into sleep mode rather than hibernate and - so far - the computer wakes from sleep with sound intact!!!
Hopefully these drivers will work for others.

  • No Audio Output Device Installed message after Upgrading to Windows 7

I have an HP m7490n Desktop computer that I recently upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium. I have been to numerous forums and tried to uninstall & reinstall my sound drivers. So far, I cannot find anything that works and my computer has no sound.
I also receive an error message from Windows Update saying that it cannot install the optional NVidia High Definition Audio Driver. Can someone provide any additional information that would help me solve this problem? Loving Windows 7 so far, except no sound!

  • Bootcamp 3.1 update results in no audio output device installed

After installing the bootcamp 3.1 update instead of getting improved/fixed audio I currently do not have any audio in windows vista 64 bit home premium. Which is to say the least quite annoying. Now i do know i have the cirrus logic audio chipset which was detected correctly in BC 3.0 however the microphone was not working. Currently no sound is working at all.
    Any suggestions are welcome.
    Regards,
    Stefan

I think this is the driver you'll need. Others have reported that their Cirrus Audio functionality was restored with it.

  • No Audio Output Device Installed - How I Fixed It

Here's how I got my audio to work again in my Toshiba Satellite laptop.
Put the laptop to sleep ( Wait till lights go out. The power icon should glow orange.)
Hit any key to wake up the machine and log back in.
Immediately start moving the volume scroll wheel back and forth until the red cross on your taskbar's audio icon disappears.
As your computer awakens from sleep mode, it will try to re-establish communication with its hardware; this is when your computer should detect the communication activity being sent by the audio device as a result of you manually moving the volume scroll wheel.
    Hope this helps someone!

I have had the same problem--unfortunately this method did not work for me.  However I was able to fix it by doing the following:
    1. Take the battery out of the laptop
    2. Hold down the power button for 60 seconds
    3. Put the battery back in
    4. Start the computer normally--the problem should be fixed
This worked perfectly for me!  Hopefully this helps others who weren't able to fix it using KBHR's method.

More often than not when a device isn't working it is because the driver has become corrupted. Re-installing a fresh copy should help

  • No Audio Output Device is Installed (intermittent)

    Model: HP Pavilion dv6810us
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit)
I have the above laptop, which has been giving me some troubles as of late. First the DVD Rom drive disappeared from the device manager, then the keyboard stopped working right, then the audio output device vanished. Well, yesterday I disassembled the entire thing, cleaned up all the gunk and cat hair that had accumulated on the inside and threw it all back together.
The good news is the keyboard works again, it's not overheating anymore, and the CD/DVD-Rom drive is back and functional, and the sound came back.
The bad news is the sound has gone kaput again and it again says there is no audio output device installed. I tried reinstalling the drivers, and that didn't work. It said couldn't install the drivers because it couldn't locate the device. Every once in a while, the sound comes back, but then it usually goes away again.
Soooo, is there a fix for this or am I going to have to break down and buy a new lap top and/or new components? I usually have pretty good experience with Altec Lansing speakers. But, now all that shows up in my Device Manager is the Bluetooth Hands-Free Audio and Bluetooth Stereo Sound....which doesn't really... give me any sound at all.
    Thanks in advance.

Its easy! Your sound drivers are corrupted.
    Just do the steps:
    1. Delete the sound drivers from the Device Manager
    2. Restart your pc
    3. Reinstall the drivers.
Note:1. Disable Internet before starting these steps.
              2. After restart When the windows tries to install drivers, stop/cancel it.

I see that you are getting a 'No Audio Output device installed' and I will be happy to help. This could be cause by an issue during the upgrade. The upgrade process should have automatically created a restore point to go back to Windows 8 and then try upgrading again.
You can try a Hard Reset to see if a clean restart resolves the issue. You can also try Refreshing your Windows and see if that helps at all. Let me know how it goes.

  • Desktop p6320f no audio output installed

I have an HP p6320f running windows 7 and a Realtak HD audio. Windows recently did an update and now it is saying "no audio output device installed". I have tried every new Driver out there from HP top Realtek and cannot get it to work. There is a yellow box over the realtek in Device Manager but it says the drivers are up to date.
    Please Help... Thanks!!

    Hi,
The easiest way to solve this may be to run Windows System Restore.  If you have Norton Internet Security installed, you will need to disable Nortons Tamper Protection as shown in Step 2, on the link below.
    http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20091112171719EN&ln=en_US
Once you've done this, shut down the PC.  Windows System Restore is usaully best run in Safe Mode.  Tap away at f8 as you start the PC to enter Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and hit enter.  When this has loaded, from the Start Menu, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and launch System Restore.  Pick a restore point before the problem with your Audio Device and then proceed with the restore process.  When complete, Windows will reboot as normal.
Now, from windows Control Centre, open Windows Update and click 'Check for Updates'.  Try applying just one update at a time to see if this avoids the issue re-occurring - also, avoid anything that looks like a Sound Driver update.

have you tried the HP recovery manager
Click Start , type recovery into the search field, and then select Recovery Manager from the list.
Grant permission to continue, if prompted. The HP Recovery Manager opens.
On the Welcome to the Recovery Manager window, click the Advanced options button.
On the Advanced options window, select Hardware driver re-installation , and then click Next .
On the Welcome to hardware driver re-installer window, click Next .
On the Select a driver to reinstall window, select the audio or sound driver to reinstall, and then click Next .
Wait while HP Recovery Manager reinstalls the original audio driver, and then click Finish .
you will probably find like me that your audio driver is not listed so you cant re-install it good luck.
p.s when you downloaded your update driver from HP suport did you get an error message saying computer not compatible ?
