Laptop stuck on blue loading screen!

hi folks!
i am in serious need of HELP! any advice wud be appreciated!
I updated the software on my laptop to 10.4.9 about 3-4 days ago and it worked fine, however 2 days later my laptop crashes and then when i go to start it up again
it doesnt stop loading up -as normal it would start to load with the white screen and spinning dial, which then turns to the blue screen with dial but then it stays like this!
Ive tried attaching firewire to another mac and then using disk utillity to repair the hd, which ends with the report 2 volumes checked, 1 hdfs repaired, 1 hd cannot be repaired, so i then tried resetting the pmu, which also did nothing but reset the date and time.
Now after reading a few things on the forums ive also tried going into single user, which has not done much to the computer that i can tell to help...im really stuck peoples! save me!

My powerbook g4 was doing the exact same thing as yours for 2 days. After running the disk utility, resetting PRAM and PMU and running a hardware test with no results, I finally called Apple tech support tonight.
My computer is fixed now. The Apple tech walked me through the necessary steps in this order:
1. Reset PRAM
2. Reset PMU
3. Insert your newest OSX version installation DVD.
4. Reboot computer while holding the Option key. A screen will load with your hardrive icon and the installation DVD icon. Select the installation icon.
5. Here you will select the Disk Utility option from the menu at the top. Select your harddrive on the left and run the First Aid disk check. Let finish running.
6. Now you will reboot again while the installation DVD is still in. This time hold the "C" key while your computer boots.
7. Finally, follow the steps in this link to Archive and Install http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n107120
Again, this worked perfectly for my computer without any loss of data. I hope this helps you out. Good luck.

  • HELP! CD stuck in drive. Try to restart brings up blue loading screen. Can't get the disc out and we've tried everything!

Imac Intel totally stuck with this CD in the drive,
Seriously. Every forum tells us to restart - but we can't because SOMEHOW this burned music CD (that we've had forever) has caused it to freeze on a never-ending blue loading screen.
Help please. Nothing's working. Only every now and then will the drive make some sounds to eject and then fails.
    What has happened??

    Greetings Ruth,
It sounds like the disk has become stuck in the drive and when it attempts to eject it becomes stuck on the inside of the drive housing or the optical drive itself has failed in some fashion.
Follow all the steps under "The drive doesn't eject discs or discs eject slowly".
If the steps don't help then follow the last step which is to take the system in for service / evaluation.
    Best of luck to you.

  • My Macbook is stuck at the loading screen (the apple with the spinning circle beneath it). I went to Best Buy, they told me to call Apple Help and ask them to restore my unit. But Apple help wont help me without charging me. Help please !!

My Macbook Pro is stuck at the loading screen (the apple with the spinning circle underneath). I went to Best Buy to get help, and they told me to call Apple Help and ask them to 'restore my unit', which he said is a matter of only about 4 mouse clicks. If it was so easy, I didn't understand why he couldn't do it for me. But he said that even though I have a 3 year warranty and protection plan with them, they were not responsible for this type of problem. Whatever.
Anyway, so I called Apple Help, and even though he was familiar with my problem, it's been more than 90 days since I purchased the laptop, therefore I'd have to set up a service agreement to get his assistance, meaning I'd have to PAY him. So now i'm stuck, and I'm just hoping somebody knows what to do to help me
I don't have any disc that I apparently need, and I don't remember ever getting one. However, if there is some other way to fix this issue, please let me know. Thanks for your time and assistance

  • My MacBook Pro is stuck on the loading screen and sounds as if its about the take off?!

Hi everyone. About 3 hours ago my laptop suddenly became very unresponsive and began freezing a lot. I cleared the cookies on Firefox, but the problem carried on so I tried rebooting. Now it has been stuck on the loading screen for about half an hour, sounding like a rocket ready to take off.. I brought it second hand and I don't have an installation CD, at least if I do it's not here at uni with me anyway.. Any ideas?! Thanks

Not knowing what your os is very difficult regarding offering troubleshooting solutions.  Most if not all the system discs are machine specific.
Replacement System Discs can be obtained from Apple's Customer Support - US (800) 767-2775 for a nominal fee. You'll need to have the model and serial number of your Mac available.
If you're not in the US, you may need to go through the regional Apple Store that serves your location to find the contact number - http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/intlstoreroutingpage.html

  • Stuck at web loading screen BPC EPM10

I did somethin where i changed the 'theme' under 'preferences' on the web after u've logged in. However after i chose, one of theme, i am stuck at the loading screen.
Below are the steps i've tried so far:
    1. clear cache
    2. tried logging in from different browser & different machine
    3. delete user, recreate user su01 (tried duplicating the problem user to a new id, able to login. Deleted the problem user and create under same id, problem still persists).
    4. delete temp files from epm folder under appdata/
    5. reinstall add-in
    Could someone please help me.

Now my problem have become bigger
When I was in windows I had a BSoD(blue screen of death) and after that the Mac could not even find the harddisk.
then I waited some hours and it could see the harddisk again and I was able to get in windows but only fore some time then BSoD came again and the hardisk was gone, that happen some times and now if I am lucky and it finds the harddisk then it say that windows cant start because of an error.
If I put the Mac install disk in the mac then if it can find the harddisk then the first aid can find an error but it cant fix it and sometimes it just says there is no harddisk
so right now I do not even use my own computer :S
I think I am not able to do anything now and if no one have any idea then I will send it in to apple and hope my 2 years warranty will pay for it

  • My White Macbook is stuck at the loading screen, and disk utility, safe mode doesn't work either. What should I do?

I went on vacation a few days ago and in El Salvador, they have this mobile broadband sticks. Well, I was using one until it gave me a network error. After that, it shut down my computer entirely. The first time it happened, I didn't think much of it. I took the battery out and put it back in for it could work. It happened another two times, and after the third time, my MacBook stays stuck at the loading screen, and it will take 5-10 minutes on that screen, before it shuts down, or it wouldn't turn on at all. I've tried booting into safe mode, but it appears to not boot into it. I've tried resetting the Pram, and using disk utility, but that still won't work. I don't know what else to do to make it boot into  OS X  Lion.
I'm an AP student, and the majority of my work is in that computer, and it is very important! What can I do? Not only that, but I enter school in a few weeks and I need the AP work by the time I enter.
What can I do? Can someone help?
    Thanks

    Reinstalling Lion Without the Installer
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alterhatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

  • Why is my iPod stuck on a loading screen?

I shut down my iPod and when I turned it back on it got stuck on the loading screen and its been like that for a couple hours and it won't do anything. I've tried plugging it in and pressing the power and home buttons but it just keeps loading. I'm really scared does someone know what to do?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Help me please, my Z10 stuck on the loading screen, no data backup :(

Hello, I was deleting some photos from my Z10 (STL100-1) then I restarted it twice or three times before getting stuck on the loading screen, it boots so slowly and it takes about 24 hr to reach 98% then stops booting when it reaches to 99% or sometimes 100%.
I've tried to pull out the battery and wait for one week, and I've also tried to put it on a charger and wait for one week, but the problem still exists.
I need my BBZ10 back without loosing data stored in it, I haven't made any backup and really need my data, is there any way to solve this problem

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs. If it fails, please try again but increase the wait time in step 4 to 2 hours, and perhaps as long as 4-5 hours.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.

You already know the answer to this...like insurance, the time to take a backup is BEFORE something goes wrong.
