Laptop synced to iPhone is almost dead, if I back iTunes up and plug phone into another pc will I lose everything?
My laptop is extremely old and I no longer trust it as its broken on me before.
If I back up my iTunes and put that disc into another pc will I keep all pics, apps, etc or will I lose everything?
Please help!
When you go in Preference -> Extension, you can see a folder.
In this you have all data from your iTunes(BackUp, Music, Apps, i think photo also)
- Copy(BackUp) this folder.
- install iTunes on the new pc (same iTunes Version ist better)
- Copy the backup folder on the new pc.
and it works.
Please check the folder and search for your photos.

I've just been given a perectly working iPhone 4s which I have set up without having to plug it into a computer. The computer is recognising that something has been plugged in becasue of the noise it's emitting however it's also not coming up in 'My Computer'. I connected my iphone 4s that I unlocked for t-mobile. I plugged it into itunes, and it asked me to update to ios6. I accepted the download and update button. It told me it needed 8 hours. I closed my laptop, not shut down. I re-opened the laptop a few hours later, and it wants restoring?? Whats going on?! i want my iphone back! PLEASE HELP. I'M LOST!!! Yes, and, I try to restore. I have the T-Mobile sim card in it just to clarify. It will not let me get passed that, it does not accept the t-mobile sim card. i tried restoring it using wifi, cellular, and i cant get i tunes. I am scared that if i take the tmobile sim card out and put the at&t one in just to complete the restoration process that the iphone will lock again and not read the tmobile sim card, then all my hard work has gone for nothing. ( this whole process was caused by me trying wanting to empty my pictures onto my computer because i did not have any storage space left). <--- that may not be as important, but i included it just because.

My iphone doesnt show up in my itunes. It shows up when i plug it into another laptop. Similarly, when i use someone else's iphone, that shows up in my itunes. Obviously my itunes wont recognise my iphone. Please help

I have an iPhone 5 and have just set up the iCloud for it. I also have an iPad with different content and I also want to connect it to iCloud. Will I lose everything that's on my iPad or iPhone or do they sync together without losing anything?
The problem is that all services are bundled with your Apple ID ([email protected]):
Your iCloud account (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Backups, etc.),
also iTunes & App Store purchases (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.),
and the iTunes Match services.
(I guess that all your devices - yours and your wife's are connected to one iTunes library, right?)
If you want that your wife gets her own iCloud account for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc. but gets also access to your media then you have two set up two things on her device:
iCloud (Settings > iCloud) with her account (e.g. [email protected])
and
iTunes & App Stores (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) with your account (e.g. [email protected]).
In this case she gets access to your library and could use the same iTunes Match account.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

Hi, When I try to sync my iphone not all the music in my itunes library syncs successfuly even though I have a lot of space left and I have the 'sync all music' option selected. Any idea? Thanks
While you're correct in that Windows media won't sync to the iPhone (or any i-device), the OP states that all the music is in iTunes. If its in iTunes, it would no longer be in Windows media format since it would have been transcoded to whatever the user sets as their import preference (AAC, mp3, etc.), and once that is done then the media should be able to sync to the iPhone just fine.
To Steph, do the missing songs play OK in iTunes? If not then they could be corrupted in some way. If they play fine in iTunes but don't sync, are they unchecked in iTunes? They won't sync to your iPhone if it is set to ignore unchecked items. Finally, if these are iTunes purchases, are they protected format? (i.e. m4p files) If so, is your computer authorized to play them? (you'd know if you try to play them in iTunes, it would prompt you for the account password if not authorized) -

No, but try restoring it:
Make sure you are following the instructions in this procedure to the letter. Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode").
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. Be patient since it sometimes takes several of these attempts before you are successful.
If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
Select the device in iTunes and choose "restore from backup".
If you still can't get it to work, you have done all you can and only Apple will be able to help. -
My iPhone 4 died and I have tried charging it and plugging it into the computer, but nothing happens execpt the dead battery thing that pops up when you charge it when it's completely dead.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
