If you have a tablet that runs full Windows 8 - not Windows 8 RT, which is limited.
And if you install the full Adobe Reader for Windows, not the special Adobe Reader Touch for Windows 8.
Then you will have the same features as a desktop.
Unless they can't be accessed in touch mode, since it isn't a touch app.

I have the same question. It seems that Adobe is almost impossible to contact (I ended up here at the forums to ask the same question).
I will never buy another Adobe product again if I can get another program to replace it. If this is customer service then it is NON EXISTENT!
I notice that your question has not been answered and why should you have to get the information from a forum? I know of no other company that makes you do this for simple product information.
NOT HAPPY with this version of arrogant customer service (nor am I happy about renting Photoshop products into the future - it is just a money grab in my opinion). I will be voting with my feet and going elsewhere in future.

Is your laptop running Windows XP, windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1?  If so then I suggest download a tool that will retrieve the serial number from the old laptop which you can use it on your new machine.  The tool is called:
    Belarc Advisor
It can be downloaded from here:
    <http://www.belarc.com/Programs/advisorinstaller.exe>
Install this and then run it by double clicking on its icon and then wait for about 5 minutes while it generates all the info about your machine and software keys.

Wiped our old iPad 1 clean, now can't install iOS from iTunes using laptop PC (W Vista).  iTunes does not "see" the device.  Tried uninstalling and installing iTunes on laptop.  Also bought new USB cable.  The iPad is charging, but that's all it does.  Just want to get it operating again for browsing and e-reading.

OK.  You merely erased the content and settings.  The IOS is still there.
If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures.  From what you've already stated, my guess is that you'll end up with Recovery Mode described in the last paragraph.
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, read this.

  • Having a bit of a nightmare with this laptop i have bought

Hey, so i bought a second hand macbook pro 15 inch 2009 yesterday, it is to act as a sister computer to my imac for producing music on
The guy who sold it to me sold me it with mountain lion on and final cut and some other programmes, however i didn't want mountain lion as i know a lot of my third party plug ins are not yet updated to work with it
I want to have just lion on this laptop, so i have restored it, by using the original install disks back to its original state (i did do a time machine back up to a third party hard drive for future reference)
However this laptop is now not letting me go past OSX 10.5.8, im guessing you had to buy 10.6? however i have already purchased lion on my imac and this computer was updated to mountain lion, does anybody know of a way i can get this laptop updated without forking out a lot of money? i want to achieve it to lion (which i have already purchased and is a downgrade from the operating system it was on), when i typed in the 10.6.0 software a lot of torrents came up, which i definately do not want to use,
    Thank you for any help!

Right i understand now, thank you very much for the replies/ clearing things up.
i know you say it is only $19, is this a discounted rate for the US? i am in the UK and i am looking on amazon some of the prices are £49-89 which seems a little steep?
Also, can i just ask, my desktop imac is currently running lion, i am considering upgrading that to mountain lion eventually when i know my plug ins work, with this macbook pro i ran a time capsule back up on it to a third party external hard drive, as the guy sold it with final cut, office and some other software, when i ran the was running the restore i tried to boot it from the time capsule just to see what happend and i got an error message like 'the operating system from time capsule is newer than this computer please update it'
If i was to upgrade my imac to mountain lion, and restore it with the time capsule i burnt from this laptop on the external hard drive, will this work and put the software etc. on to my imac? or will it cause a horrible mess?
    Thanks again

  • How do I use an external hard drive to back up my laptop?  I bought a G Drive Slim from Apple.

I have a G Drive Slim external hard drive that was purchased from an Apple store.  I need to back up my laptop.  I've forgotten the procedure.  It's not as easy as "plug it in and follow the instructions."  Can anyone help?

It should be plug and play and if it isn't it is probably because your new drive isn't formatted for the Mac. Plug in the drive and run Disk Utility - it is in the Utilities folder inside the Applications folder. You should see the drive in the DU window. Click on the drive and look at the bottom of the DU program. You'll see a Drive Description and other information. The last item in the second column is Partition Map Scheme. If it says GUID Partition Table you are good to go. If it doesn't the drive needs to be partitioned to be GUID.
    Partition the drive:
Select the drive device in the list of devices. For each physical drive you'll see a drive device and then indented under that you'll see a drive name. For example looking at DU on my computer I see two devices: Macintosh HD at the top and indented beneath it "Yosemite" then 2TB OWC Elite and indented beneath it "TM". I'd select 2TB OWC Elite
Choose the "Partition" tab that appears.
Select "1 Partition" from the drop-down menu (or more, if you have specific need for more than one volume). When you select a new partition layout from the drop-down menu, each new partition will be formatted to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) by default, but be sure to double-check this by selecting each in the partition diagram and then choosing the format for it.
Click the Options button and ensure "GUID" is selected as the partition scheme.
Click Apply to save the changes.
Open Time Machine Preferences and click on Select Disk. Choose your newly partitioned and formatted drive. Make sure TM is turned on. That's it.

  • My laptop died I bought a new one but, now I want to get the songs in my ip

I need to synch my ipod to my laptop but, the songs are in my ipod not my laptop. How do I synch the ipod using it as the master to download what is in it to the computer ????

If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
    See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
    SharePod is also freeware.
If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.

  • Adobe Photoshop elements - the catalog will not open on the new laptop I just bought.

I installed the Adobe software for Elements 5.0. The catalog won't open. The new laptop uses Windows 7. Could that be the problem? If so, how do I rectify the problem?

    Hi,
Actually, I did eventually get it to open. However, the photos are no longer tagged. I recovered the photos from my external hard drive, which is where I always stored them.
So you are saying that I would need to actually to a BACKUP from ELEMENTS itself? If I do that, the tags will still be attached to the photos? I have over 6000 photos. I do not want to have to reorganize and re tag them again.
Thank you for any suggestions you can provide!

  • I have an HP6710 laptop. I bought a docking station on ebay it does not have a power adapter.

Can I use the power adapter that came with my laptop to power the docking station  without hurting the docking station?

Give us the model of the docking station, please. Usually they use the same adapter as the laptop but not always. Also there will be a label on the dock indicating power requirements. Compare to the AC adapter you have. If the plug fits and the volts and amps are the same it likely will work.

  • I have production premium CD installed on my laptop. Just bought the new iMac ---

with no optical drive. Not ready to pay MORE money for cloud. Any ideas on how to get this on the new computer without buying an external optical drive? Or perhaps getting a discount for the cloud? I feel almost ripped off

JaDamiani Production Premium is available at Download CS6 products.  You can download the installation files as opposed to purchasing an external optical drive.  If you have additional software titles available only on optical media however it may still be beneficial to make the purchase.
If you face any difficulties with the activation process then please see Activation & deactivation help - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html.  If you do exceed the amount of allowable activations then our support team can assist you with resetting the activations as necessary.
