Laptop-Vista-Moz Fifx won't work-says something about proxy server? Computer Challenged so I don't understand.
I am computer challenged so I don't understand this. When I try to download Mozilla Firefox on my laptop it tells me that firefox uses a proxy server and won't complete the download. I don't like IE, and do like Mozilla Firefox and have used it for a long time on my desk top. If someone could tell me what to do to make it work I really would appreciate this.
This is on a laptop, not this computer
Are you trying to do this while on a corporate wifi or over home wifi/cellular?

* Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.
* Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is

I clicked the button to reload or whatever and nothing happens just the same old thing over and over!Check the connection settings.
*Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection > Settings
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Have used Illustrator CS5 for months. now suddenly it won't work- says "insufficient memory to run application". Lenovo w700, windows vista. Illustrator CS4 works, Photoshop CS5 works, everything else is working fine, in fact they all get loaded together.
I found no solutions on the community board.
Can I remove Ill. CS5 without damaging CS4, and then reinstall CS5? And if so, then how do I reinstall it?

This time I did not use the desktop short cut, but used what should be the exec icon under program files, expanded the window and it worked!

Updated itunes - windows quickly shuts it down and says something about "Data Execution Prevention". I followed the instrucxtions to a dead end. I have re downloaded it twice and used the repair files once but get the same result. It worked fine before I updated it to death.
Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?

My macbook from 2008 which I bought used worked fine for 3 weeks and then suddenly it started restarting and now it restarts, goes to grey apple screen and a code saying something about a kernel panic appears and it restarts again and again. Help?
Restart the computer and immediately hold the Option key down.
Select the Recovery partition and continue.
On the next pane, select Disk Utility and continue.
When DU opens, select your hard drive in the left column, click the First Aid tab, the click Repair Disk.
When that is done, quit DU and restart in the usual way. -
I installed an Extreme in place of an old Express, the various phones and Ipads seem to work on the WiFi but the Mac itself will not connect. It says something about the IP address being used by another device. Second wifi network was also created. The Mac worked for a few minutes and then gaev up citing eth IP problem......any clues people??
If you have not already done so, now would be a good time to perform a complete network power cycle.......to give everything a fresh start.
Power off every device on the network.....computers, printers, hard drives, etc......in any order that you want
Wait a full minute
Start the modem, and let it run by itself for 2-3 minutes
Start the next device connected to the modem and let it run a full minute
Keep starting devices one at a time about a minute apart until the entire network is back up

iTunes Store is not letting me purchase any songs. When I download them it says something about security questions and when I type them in it says they are incorrect when they are! Hiw can I download song?
Click here and search the article for '2 out of 3' without the quotes; in the case of forgotten answers, this generally involves either a message being sent to your rescue email address or contacting the iTunes Store staff directly.

my app store wont let me update any apps when i click the update all button it doesnt do anything and eventually says i need to manage my storage, i have 4.4 gigs left and all of my icloud storage left and i just deleted 5 app hoping it would make room but it didnt work. is there something that happened to itouch 3rd gen during th ios5 update or something? please let me know if there is anything i can do

I have sownloaded an HD movie from iTunes store and when I attempted to play it on my Windows 7 PC a error message popped up saying something about the display not being compatible for HD movies. I have tried changing the display resolution several times but it didn't help. Now it just comes up with a blank screen when I attempt to play it. SD movies work fine. I have the latest version of iTunes installed.
Can anyone help me resolve this problem?Apparently the display is required to be HDCP compatible to view HD movies in iTunes. My display isn't so this is my problem. I contacted Apple support and they have agreed to credit me for the HD movie and I have now downloaded the SD version.

I am having problems with Safari --- running slowly at times but shutting down unexpectedly at other times and displaying the error message saying something about the sonic foundry plug-in. I cannot find this anywhere on my computer. It seems to happen when I visit the Cooking Light website. Strange.

I decided to give Netflix a call about this problem.

It works for me. Now I have to logon everytime I go to their site though versus it had kept me already logged in before this problem.
