Laptop with windows vista prem keeps looping like it wants to start

The model number psaf-3u-onr00v satellite a205 s5804.my problem is the system will not load windows and it keeps looping like it wants to load but it just keep looping it wont load the recovery disk either it starts loading but again it goes back to looping like it wants to start it also wont work in the safe mode or any mode can anyone help?

Unfortunatly I had a computer do this to me recently and I found out that it was the had drive itself. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but this is my only suggestion.

Hello, I have a HP zv5242qv pavilion zv5000 series laptop with windows vista installed. I can run it on the power adapter with and without the battery installed but it will not power up on just the battery, the battery is new and fully charged. When I plug in the power adapter the battery light on the front of the laptop comes o then goes off, anyone have any ideas about my problem ?

The situation you describe looks like the unit has problems with the battery, but you say the battery is new and is fully charged.
Then, the issue might be with the system board and maybe there isn't anyhting you can do.
You can try to remove the battery and the ac adapter, and keep the power button pressed for 30 seconds, then connect the ac adapter, turn on the unit, then when in windows put the battery in place, see how it is detected, the power level and restart the PC. See if the unit restarts with the battery in place, if yes, then shutdown the unit.
See what happens and report back.

Help installing itunes on laptop with Windows Vista.

I have a laptop with Windows Vista. I've tried to download iTunes but I keep getting a message that says "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for his install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personel or package vendor." I read a thread that suggested removing all Apple components then restarting. I was unable to remove Apple Software Update. All other components were removed fine. Someone please help. Thanks.

Im actually tilting it up where it cinnects to my iPod, not where it connects to my computer, and i have tried three(yes, 3) different cables, one of which i bought brand new. still nothing, and i've also tried different USB ports on my computer,....nothing. Adobe Reader X can only save reader-enabled forms. Adobe Reader XI can save all forms.

Help, hotsync palm treo 755p to my laptop with windows vista 64 bit.

I am computer unsavy and could use some help. I have a palm treo 755p that previously synced with my old dell laptop. That computer broke, and I got a new HP with windows vista 64 bit. Previously, the dell was running windows xp. I have bought some new software, which I have downloaded to my laptop, and am trying to sync my palm to the new computer so that I can download the program to the computer. However, after installing the Palm Hotsync Manager and other software, and when I trying to sync, the computer does not seem to recognized my palm, and times out after a while stating "the connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again.

Palm OS devices will only sync to 64bit through Bluetooth. We have a stickie concerning this. It's the third topic down under windows hotsync. Does your computer have Bluetooth?

There have been discussions about quality issues with iMovie 08 because it uses single field processing to create the video images. Basically, this removes half of the lines of resolution from your original footage. This has to create some loss of quality. iMovie HD6, on the other hand, does not do this, keeping both fields intact.
iMovie 08 was really created to appeal to You Tubers and other web video users, where high quality is less of an issue. iMovie HD6 and previous versions were created to appeal to the budding moviemaker who wants a pro style editing platform with great quality, but ease of use, as compared to Final Cut programmes. That's also why iMovie HD6 was designed to work solely with miniDV tape cams, in either SD or HD format. DV Stream is a lossless format that produces superior results to any of the other high compression formats, such as AVCHD.
So, you need to spend more money to get HD DVDs, but your quality will suffer using iMovie 08, which your camcorder forces you to do. Perhaps some consideration of a suitable cam to begin with will be of help.

Then try reloading the tab with the MP3.
If Firefox is set to use Media Foundation and it still doesn't work, maybe something is missing from Windows. Another Windows 7 user reported that they were able to fix a problem with Media Foundation using a download from Microsoft:

It's not clear initially which is the fundamental error here. But based on the fact that the 8007371b can be fixed by the System Update Readiness Tool, we might try a manual install of that first. There's information on how to do that in the *Information for Advanced Users* section of the following document.

Installing the tool will run the tool.
After the installation of the tool, restart the PC. Then go back to Windows Update, and attempt to stock up again on Windows Updates. Do they download and install correctly? If so, because you might be a reasonable way behind on updates, keep going back to Windows update until it stops offering you new updates.
Once you're stocked up again, restart the PC again, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

I have a new 27" iMac and use a Time Capsule for backups.
I also have a Toshiba laptop running Vista.
I would like to run the backups from the laptop to the Time Capsule.
I am reading the Time Capsule already as a hub for internet access.

Can't open cp file from laptop with Windows Vista

I created some files at work using XP and copied them to a jump drive. (Captivate 4)
I've installed C4 at home using Vista on my laptop. I tried opening the cp files and none will open. C4 opens, but stays on the normal open page. I've copied them to the laptop drive and it still won't open them. I've tried opening by double-clicking the file, and by opening C4 and attempting to open them from within. Nothing. Any suggestions?

Thanks, the Vista is 64 bit, the XP is not. Actually, I'm using the laptop to record new audio, so I don't have to get the audio from the XP machine. However, another problem has arisen and that it when I try to record in C4 on the laptop it doesn't work. It asks if I want to test and then nothing happens, the test window doesn't open, and then when I hit the record button again, nothing happens. I've downloaded Audacity and it records fine, so I'm going to save those files and import them. This has been one nightmare after another. Thanks for your suggestions.

Creative Zen X-fi 16gb (wifi) will not dock on my laptop with windows vist

When I plug in my zen x-fi 6gb to my laptop the computer detects the player and the player says that it is docked immediately. Windows then detects the player and begins to install drivers for the player. As soon as those drivers are "installed successfully" the player is immediately undocked and cannot be detected by the computer. The device manager states: "This device cannot start. (Code 0)". I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers countless times, reinstalling my USB drivers, updating my BIOS, nothing seems to work. I updated my players firmware to the latest version on another computer where the player worked fine (also vista) but it will still not work on my own computer. Please help!

2.) If you're Windows Media Player is lower than version , update it. If you already have version , try un-installing WMP and WMP runtime under add/remove programs. After uninstalling WMP, reboot your PC and re-install WMP .
