Large Album Art Display Problem

I accidentally pressed into the option provided by iPod nano that allows you to view the album art in a large size that takes up the screen. In turn, the other information and the length of the song disappeared, only to be replaced by the outline of the album (I didn't insert album art for much of them) How do I change the setting back? So I can view the information of the song again in one screen? (smaller album art, song name, album name, length of the song, etc.)
Thanks. I would really appreciate your help. I realize that this is a very, very minor problem because other people WANT the large album art display image to pop out. But I just can't seem to get it to reverse to the normal display. Thanks again!

  • Wrong album art displaying for songs on my iPod Classic.

I am having a problem with my 160GB classic iPod. (6th gen. I believe, it's the first 160GB iPod to be released.)
It doesn't happen a lot, but I noticed wrong album art displaying for my songs on my iPod. Then when I check in itunes, the album art is correct. Also, I manually manage my music and videos. So when I check the album art from my ipod's hard-drive through itunes, the album art is correct as well.
I believe the problem happens when the iPod itself tries to find the album art images for the current song being played. It somehow gets jumbled and puts up a random album art image instead of the one it is supposed to.
One thing i noticed is this. Lets say I shuffle all my songs. Once I get up to a song with wrong album art, I skip pass it lets say about 5-10 songs, then I go back to it. The album art often corrects itself, and the right album art is displayed.
I looked around the forums here and see that other people are having similar problems with different kinds of iPods. Maybe it's a firmware issue?

I'm having the exact same issue on my iPod Classic. Haven't used this forum before - do experts provide feedback, or do we just hope that another user can suggest a cure? I haven't reformatted my iPod yet - huge pain, as I also manually manage my music - but will do that if no other solutions present themselves.

  • Where did the album art display go?

In iTunes 10.6 for Windows, the album art display in the Library column is gone. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to put it back. For clarity's sake, I'm talking about the thumbnail at the bottom left corner, right under Playlists – the one that shows 'now-playing' album art or videos. What (hopefully simple) procedure am I missing, or otherwise doing wrong?
    Thanks!

  • ZEN 16 GB Album Art Question/Problem

I've noticed that any albums with the same name will get assigned the same album art...
I have several albums that are "Greatest Hits" from several different artists, all albums get whatever album art was pasted last...
I know I could fix this by change the Album name to "Greatest Hits - <Artist Name>", but I should have to, shouldn't the ZEN know that these are different albums?

I have had the same problem with my new Zen 6gb player.
If you name the albums like this-
    Greatest Hits
    Greatest Hits2
    Greatest Hits3? etc:-
the Zen treats them as different albums and displays artwork correctly.
Same applies to albums called Best Of, Very Best Of,Ultimate Collection etc:-
    Hope you get the idea.
It's a pain remembering to edit file tags before loading on the Zen but I haven't found
any other way around this problem to date.

  • Album art display

Ipod 80 gig works fine, but.... With some albums, the tracks show the correct album art, but when I double click to have the art fill the entire display, a different album's art appears. It is only a problem for some of the albums on my ipod. Is there a way to correct this?

Give this a try, it usually sorts out wrong artwork problems:
    1. Connect your iPod
    2. Disable "Display album artwork" in iPod>Music tab and click Apply.
    3. Syncronise the iPod with iTunes.
    4. Re-enable "Display album artwork" in iPod>Music tab and click Apply.
    5. Syncronise the iPod again.

  • Album art displays very slowly!

I hope someone can help me. I called AppleCare and some guy didn't even know what I was talking about. I have a lot of music I bought at the iTunes Store which is saved in the ITunes folder via artist, then album, then tracks. I have checked the icon preview button so that my album art will display on every track. Before I updated to Leopard 10.5.3, the redrawing of the album art was very fast; now however it is slow as molasses. I would appreciate any input on this issue. Thank you.

This is an update to my original post. It appears my iTunes Library file is corrupted, because when I created a new iTunes library file, all my art work on my tracks displayed very fast, no slowdown at all. Also when I logged in as a different user, same thing. No problems with my album art being displayed. Is there a way of fixing a corrupted iTunes library file? I have a lot of music, videos and TV shows, all neatly arranged in various playlists I created. Just to do it over again would take me weeks. Also since I've been backing my internal drive using Time Machine, can I go back and retrieve my iTunes library file before it became corrupted? Thank you for any help you can give me.

  • Album art displays in ITunes but not on iPod for some album

Hi, I have setup album art on iTunes for my ipod, and in itunes all the art shows correctly.
However the iPOD just displays album art for only some of the albums, not all...
This is really frustrating Apple. How can I report or fix this problem?
    Thanks
    Simon

I have THE EXACT same problem. Except, I added all album art by hand, to my ipod playlist after hand-selecting all 356 songs to my nano. Only to find that when I attempted to transfer the album art to my nano even after checking and unchecking the album art option, it does not work. Does anyone know if the album art needs to be added to itunes before songs are put onto the nano?

  • Album art displays very slowly; iTunes library file is corrupted?

Since I have updated to the latest version of Leopard, my album art in the iTunes music folder displays at a snail's pace, where before it was fast as lightning. Also since I've been backing my internal drive using Time Machine, can I go back and retrieve my iTunes library file before it became corrupted? Thank you for any help you can give me.

You should be able to retieve your pre-corrupted library file from TM, provided the corruption didn't happen to far back.

  • Wrong Album Art Displayed

I could not find anyone who has the same problem as I do. When I play music on the iPod I love adding album art. However when I installed the latest update for the iPod I encountered a glitch when playing music on the device.
For example, if I decide to play Beck's album Odelay, a different album art is displayed on all songs in the album. However if I change the iPod screen to album art only while the song is playing, the correct album art is displayed. I don't think that this is an iTunes bug as this problem does not occur on iTunes. It occurs only on my iPod.
Is there a way to fix this bug?

Try this, it usually sorts out incorrect artwork being displayed:

  • Wrong Album Art Displaying

I have the iPhone 3g and updated to 2.2. Now, when I play music, the wrong album art is displayed. It doesn't happen on every song, and I checked the song information in iTunes on my Mac and they are right. When I play it on my computer, the album artwork is fine.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for the help!

That's strange - I find this problem on iTunes. I include the album art correctly, but sometime later a different album cover appears for the same song. I don't know how this happens.

  • Still having ipod album art work problems

My IPOD SHOWS NO ALBUM ARTWORK! I don't know why. I have the checkbox under itunes selected "display album artwork on IPOD" I contacted itunes support and they never help with anything. they are completely worthless. They directed me back here, to the forums, for help. They have no answers. I've tried nearly everthing. I've restored my ipod many times over. I've also tried deselecting that checkbox under itunes then resyncing my ipod. And its still a no go. I think that I'm missing some files on my ipod that enables my ipod to show the album artwork. Can anyone help me out?

I had the same problem all you have to do is connect your ipod then click the options for your ipod then un tick the show album art then update your ipod, disconnect it then re connect it and click the options again then tick the album artwork box unpdate again and viola everything works smooth from then on mine has been perfect since i did it last week

  • Add Album Art - Having Problems - HELP!

I'm having problems adding album art to my itunes library. I've already done the "advanced"--->"Get Album Art" thing but there are quite a few albums that iTunes DIDN'T find. So, I selected one that iTunes didn't find and I drug a .jpg file from a folder, into the bottm-left corner of iTunes and it associated that image with all the files I'd selected from that particular album. Great...so far.
The problem came when I tried to do the same thing a second time, with another album. Now, the little window at the bottom left reads, "Album Art not Modifiable!" I've tried dragging images of the album cover into the space anyway, but to no avail. WHAT GIVES?
Can someone tell me how to fix these missing album covers?
Also, some of the albums iTunes didn't 'find' the artwork for are albums that are even sold BY iTunes! How could it not find the album art for albums I can find right there in iTunes?? I have a new iPhone and, because of the way you can surf albums and songs, it's really important that I get all the album art stuff squared-away!
    SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT!
    Thanks, in advance!

Instead of trying to drag the art into iTunes, you
can copy and paste it. To do this, right click on a
song with incorrect or missing artwork. Choose "Get
Info" from the menu that opens. Then click on the
artwork tab--if there's wrong artwork showing, click
on the album cover and then the delete button--now
you'll have a blank box. (If you've already
right-clicked and selected "copy" for the correct
jpeg you've found)--right click in this blank box and
choose "paste". Then click on the ok/yes/save
button--whatever it is in the lower right corner and
your correct artwork should show up in iTunes.
If you want to do an entire album--hold down your
shift key and highlight all of the songs on the
album, right click>get info>say yes when you get the
protest box>choose the artwork tab>right click and
    choose paste.
Your song tags have to exactly match the way songs
are tagged in the iTunes store to have the artwork
download automatically. Sometimes a misplaced space
can be the culprit. Often iTunes downloads the wrong
artwork--so allowing iTunes to handle your album art
    is not foolproof!
When I try to do what you suggested, I get a iTunes warning that says:
"The Song "Song Name Here" cound not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?"
If I click "Yes" I get a browser window, and if I click "Cancel" I get the info page you talked about; but I can't click on the image because the "Artwork Tab" doesn't exist! I checked some other files and it turns out, that the "Artwork" tab ONLY shows up on files where there's ALREADY some artwork showing! My problem is not that the WRONG artwork is associated with the song or album, it's that there isn't ANY artwork associated with it.
So my question is still: HOW do I associate artwork with music that doesn't show a picture, even after iTunes has searched for the appropriate one and come up with NO image at all?
I'm wondering why iTunes can't locate the original file on some of these songs, though. The only thing I can think of is that, because I'm in the process of re-organizing my music on my computer into album folders, I may have moved a lot of files from the location where iTunes originally found them. Some songs, iTunes has no problem locating, but they seem to be the songs that are part of complete albums I've created outside iTunes and then ADDED to my "My Music" folder, where iTunes seems to find it, shortly after it's added to the folder. So, this makes me think I would be better off deleting EVERYTHING from my Library (except those songs/albums I bought from iTunes) and then RE-add ONLY the re-organized music folders- keeping all the stuff I have yet to straighten-out, completely out of iTunes until it IS organized. How do I clear my library and, then, how do I rebuild it from the music folders I choose? Do you think this would fix my problem?

  • Album art sync problems.

My iTunes is transferring the album art, but not all of it. Also, some albums get artwork from other albums or even from other bands. Can anyone help me out?

You could have a look at this article on missing artwork:
    Artwork Missing from iPod
Where the wrong artwork is showing on iPod, if your iPod is set to update automatically then try this:
    iTunes 6
    1. Connect your iPod
    2. Disable "Show Album art" in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>iPod.
    3. Syncronise the iPod with iTunes. (Disconnecting and then reconnecting your iPod will do the trick)
    4. Re-enable "Show Album Art" in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>iPod.
    5. Syncronise the iPod again.
    iTunes 7
If your iPod is set to update automatically then try this:

  • Album Art Display question...

    Hello,
I am able to sync my songs onto my nano with the album art from ITunes, but when the song plays, the art on the screen is very small. I thought that it would fill the whole screen. Is there a setting or some way to get the album art to fill the entire screen? (I've read through the manual and searched these forums but was not able to find anything on this).
    Thank you in advance!

  • Album Art Sync Problem

I purchased a Ipod Touch two weeks ago. Everything works fine except the loading of album art. I can only load 13 of the 23 album art pictures onto Ipod. They all appear in Itunes but only 13 sync to Ipod. All the music syncs no problem. I tried re-syncing, recreating Ipod and even recreated the ITunes database. Is there a limit on how many can be loaded onto Ipod? Anyone, experience similar problems?

I was having the exACT same problem. It may have come from when I first set up my iPod, I didn't realize it was going to automatically sync with my entire library right off the bat so I canceled the sync, then said the heck to with and re-synced it. I had like six out of 80 albums which all had artwork found from iTunes. So after reading a few posts, I tried restoring my iPod and this time I'm manually syncing only the albums I want. So far, everything is working great! So I would definitely say, try a restore and resync. If that still doesn't work, try to add albums manually in chunks.
