My guess, and I do not have a Mobile Me account, is that is the limitation set by Mobile Me.

  • Large file stuck in mail que

I attempted to mail a large video file 23 Mb to my parents.  The video was to big for yahoo and now it's stuck in the "Recovered Messages (Yahoo)" part of my mailbox.
What makes it even worse, is there are now 3035 duplicate files of the same thing.
I have been unable to send/receive mail from my mailbox.
I can login online through Yahoo and send/receive, but not through the mailbox on my Mac
I'm operating a Mac Desktop that's only about 5 months old.
I keep trying to delete the files, but most of the time I can't.  When I can delete one of the files, it just comes right back.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
    Thanks
    Brent

  • File attachments through mail

    Hi Gurus,
i am getting one file from C Folders in binary format and i have to send that file through mail attachments
can any one suggests the solution.

    Hi,
Upload the file using GUI_UPLOAD FM . This will give you all the data in an internal table. Then use FM 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'  to send attachment in email.
Search SDN for above FM & you would get a sample program.
    Thanks,
    Best regards,

  • Viewing Excel & PDF file attachments in Mac Mail 3.6

I setup my IMAP Gmail account on my Macbook's Mail 3.6. In the advanced tab of my Gmail account preferences in Mail 3.6 under "Keep copies of messages for offline viewing:" I have selected "All messages and their attachments"
Whenever I click on an Excel attachment, I get the error message "'filename' cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only, or you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the server the document is stored on may not be responding."
Whenever I click on a PDF attachment, I get the error message "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."
I then tried saving the attachments from Mail 3.6 to my hard drive, but received the same error messages when I tried to open them.
However, when I access my Gmail account using my browser and download the same attachments to my hard drive, they open up without any problems.
I have deleted the folder containing the emails containing the attachments from Mail 3.6 and re-synced it with Gmail. While it successfully completes the download of all of the messages and their attachments, the same problem occurs. Oddly enough, this problem does not occur with Word Document attachments or JPEG file attachments.
This is my first Mac and while I am extremely proficient with Windows, I am clueless with Mac OS X. I have read posts about AppleDouble and Compression, but can't seem to find those options to play around with, even though I do not think that either is the issue. Any help is highly appreciated.

    Sijmons,
well, I didn' got confused but only wanted to help you with your Altzheimer
    Geeborg,
I used to .Mac webmail with Firefox on Windows and opened a message with an attachment (mpg). I clicked on the small triangle behind the word "Attachments" and then I clicked on the name of the attachment. This opened a window stating that the attachment would be downloaded. After some time I was asked to open the file with application xyz (I don't remember the name) or to save it on disk. Choosing to open the file finally launched Windows Media Player which played the mpg.
Can you try these steps on one of your attachments?

  • How to edit file attachments in Mavricks Mail?

Does anyone know how to edit file attachments in Mavricks Mail?
Eudora, Foxmail and many other email programs allow you to simply click file attachment, open it, edit it, and FORWARD it to others.
This is extremely difficult with Mail because it forces every single incoming file attachment to be READ-ONLY which means you are forced to re-save a copy in a folder then after editing it you need to spend time to fish it out of the folder, reattach it and then forward to others. It is a huge time wasting headache not to mention polluting your system with extra copies of files.
    Thanks

I believe you are missing something. I'm not on my Mac right now but there should be a setting where to save attachments and also muiltiples at one time.

  • Pdf files as attachments in Mail

Sometimes pdf attachments in mail are saved as a pdf file with icon other times the document is visible and fills the whole page - How can I ensure only the pdf file is attaced and not the open document - seems to be there is no reason as to why this is ?
Using Blackbook + Leopard latest updates

Don't understand the reply above; I assume it's for another thread.
Not to worry: Mail will show you the pdf if it can but when you send it the file will be attached. If the other person's mail reader can view attachments inline then it will and there's nothing you do about that.

    Hi all
Hope to get some help with Elements Organizer.
I have 12-15 years of digital photos that I now want to import into my newly aquirede Adobe Elements Organizer / Photoshop. Since my Nikon names the files with continous numbers from 0001 to 9999 I have multiple files with the same name although they are not alike at all. My previous software had no problems with that since I keep the photos in separate file folders based on import date. I generally import photos after each event and so name the folder with the date and some event info (e.g. 2014.12.24 - Christmas at grandparents).
That is a common situation, I have the same limitation for files not going over 9999 on my Canons...
Now - when I import my photos into Elements Organizer I get a lot of error messages with "same name exist .....) Hmmmmmmm
Please sate the exact wording of the error message, I have never seen a message stating 'same name exist...' or equivalent; only messages about files already in the catalog. Files already in the catalog mean that some files have the same 'date taken' and file size in Kb.
Any suggestions. I'm using a mac and tried to rename files based on date taken. The mac can do that but it takes ages to go into each folder and run the renaming script there.
I also use a similar folder creation scheme (such a date naming is the default for the downloader). That way I never get a message about duplicates for the same file names.
However - I can't be the first or only person with this problem so I figure that some workaround must be known out there. Maybe the import action can recognize date taken or - well. Thank you very much in advance if you can help me out here.
You can alsways set the downloader to rename the imported files with a unique new name, there are many options in the 'advanced' dialog of the downloader. I don't know about Macs, but I don't thing there is a difference.

  • Opening Large PDF attachments in e-mail?

m trying to open large PDF attachments from e-mail (10-30mb) and either ipad says it can't open them "too large to read" or acts as though it will open but then doesn't open.  Any tips on how to make this work?

  • Mail stuck sending large file

I have just sent an email in Mail with a large attachment.  For 2 days my sent icon has been working and no other mails can get sent.  It is not giving me the option to stop sending, or reduce size.  It is just stuck trying to send it.  Help!

    Janet,
Is the message with too large attachment still trying to send?  If so, again quit Mail, but this time, in the Finder, open Home, and while holding down the Option key click on Go in the menubar.  This will allow you to click on Library, then the Mail folder.  Then look in the Mailboxes folder for the Outbox.mbox folder.  Remove it by draggin it to the Desktop (later to the trash, likely).  Now relaunch Mail again.  When you next try to send a normal sized message, Mail will recreate the Outbox.mbox folder.  (Not booted into Lion at the moment, so unable to confirm all of this, but is how it could be done in all other versions of Mail.
Are you trying to put the large file somewhere as a backup, or are you, as I first thought, trying to send it to someone?  File on iCloud are not meant for sharing with others, unlike iDisk.
    More info, please.

  • .au audio files in e-mail attachments play too fast

How can I get .au audio file attachments in e-mails to play at normal speed? For some reason they play so fast that I can't understand what the person speaking is saying. It's very frustrating.

The mail app will only recognize what it is programmed to recognize. There are many files that work on desktop computers that don't play on the iPhone. Some of apples own office docs will not open on the iPhone while MS office docs will.
Apple does not list all files the iPhone does support, but the audio support does not include GSM. If the phone doesn't know how to decode it, the Mail app can't play it either.
    From Apple iPhone tech specs:
Audio formats supported: AAC, Protected AAC, MP3, MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV

  • Can't send Large files in Mail

I am trying to send a 12MB RAW Image file to a Magazine editor, but Mail won't send it. It keeps telling me the server is not responding. Can anyone tell me how I can email large files?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Many internet service providers cap outgoing mail messages around 4 MB. Ask the magazine editor to offer you an FTP server to ftp the data to, and ask them if the FTP server uses passive, active, or SFTP. This cap is to prevent people from sending spam usually.

  • In Elements 11 how do I get the verification code needed to send files as e-mail attachments ?

In Elements 11 how do I get the verification code to send files as e-mail attachments ?

I’ve found it usually works best with web mail via Adobe after obtaining verification. I know some email services block bulk email completely and I’ve only tested it with Gmail which works fine. Should also work with other web mail e.g. Yahoo and Hotmail. Give it a try. Before you start it will help to check your internet security settings. If they are set to High, reduce the settings to Medium temporarily. Then follow these instructions.
    1. Log in to your mail provider on the web and add the following email to your address/contacts book.
    [email protected]
    2. Open Organizer and on the menu click:
    Edit >> Preferences >> Sharing
    3. Choose Adobe Email Service from the client dropdown menu.
    4. Add your name and email address to the fields provided and click OK
    5. Test the system (first use only)  by selecting a photo in organizer and choosing Share >> Photo Mail then click Next (Mac users should use attachments)
    6. Choose a contact then click  Next
    7. Click Next Step, then click Next - the sender verification dialog will open.
    8. Check you have spelt your email address correctly and hit the Resend E-Mail button.
    9. Go to your inbox (also check spam) and when the Adobe mailer message is received copy (Ctrl+C) the long verification code.
    10. Return to the verification dialog and paste it (Ctrl+V) into the Sender verification field and click OK. Wait for validation confirmation then click OK to continue

  • Best way to send a large sound file via e-mail?

    Hello,
I created a sound file in Sound Studio that is 75.5 MB large. I want to e-mail it to a friend through my Hotmail account. (I have a cable connection. I do not have AOL. And I just discovered that I can play it on my computer using QuickTime.)
What is the best way to do this? Do I need to compress it? I have heard of compressing large files to make it easy to e-mail, but I don't know how to do it. If so, will he be able to hear it when he opens up the e-mail on his end?
If anyone could give me step-by-step instructions on how to send this, I'd be most grateful. Thank you.

If you have Stuffit Expander check inside the folder for Drop Stuff.
Drop the movie file onto Drop Stuff.
This will compress the music file.
    Or
You can send large music files through You Send It which is FREE!
There are others but, You Send It is the easiest.
    Or
Since you have a High-speed connection, the easiest & fastest way is through AIM (AOL Instant Messenger). You do not need to be a member of AOL.
I send all my music & movie files this way instead of using email.
iChat has the same ability of transferring large files as AIM.

  • Oops...mail wont send large file and I cant get it to stop trying.

I was sending a ;large file (116 megs) email to my wife by mistake, thinking the file was the resized images I had. I was sending this via .me account. When I open mail now, my .me account still tries to send the files, and I cant make it stop. Its not in my drafts or outbox, but the cog spins forever on my .me account. I then see a folder which says it is a recovered mail folder and those images are in two emails in that folder. Any help? I just want my .me inbox to recieve mail again and to send mail when I need it to. This has been going on for two days now.

Search using the name of this large file in Spotlight -- anything show up in an unexpected location?
If you click on Window in the menubar, and choose Activity, what does it says is in process?
Quit Mail, and hold down the Shift key while clicking to relaunch Mail -- make any difference?
