Large File Upload ~50mb Fails using Firefox/Safari. Upload Limit is 1gig set at Web App. IIS timeout set at 120 seconds.

Strange issue.  User can upload the file using IE9, but cannot do the same using Safari, Chrome, or FireFox.  The library resides in a Site Collection that was migrated from a 2010 Site Collection.  The timeout on IIS is 120 seconds.Very strange
indeed.
Haven't been able to trace the Correlation ID at this point.

try using rest api for this much file upload if you are using custom solution.

  • Can't attach file in icloud webmail using firefox from windows or mac. any ideas?

anyone else having trouble attaching file in icloud webmail using firefox or internet explorer from windows or mac. i was able to get it to work from safari on a mac, so i guess it must be a browser thing, only enabled or working in safari?

I had the same problem since last Thursday.  I have tried and re-tried all of the settings suggested by the support posts but I can not get email to go out of me Outbox.

  • I cannot open PDF files when I am using Firefox, how can I fix this?

I cannot open PDF files while I am using Firefox. This is true for opening PDF pages in Firefox and outside of Firefox.

I ran into the same problem, and here is what I have done to fix it.
    Go to Tools/Add-ons
You might have to get the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader (Likely 10.x.....)
On any exiting Adobe Acrobat Reader select disable (to disable the plug-in)
If you have already gotten the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader just disable any earlier version.
There is no official way to uninstall a plug-in so this it the workaround.
If you do need to uninstall the plugin you need to type about:config ....about:plugins search for the article to do it.

  • How can I use  EntityManager in my pojo class in a JSF web app?

    Hi guys,
I need to use EntityManager in my pojo class in a JSF web app. Because pojo is not managed by web container, I cant use resource injection.
Is there any way I do that ? Thanks.

If you want something done fast, then why don't you try reading the API. The API:
    a) points your to the Swing tutoral on "Using Text Components" which has a working example
    b) shows you 3 ways to load data into the JEditorPane.

  • Using MS Access Web App, can you set the tab order of the fields on a form?

Using MS Access Web App, can you set the tab order of the fields on a form?  Doesn't appear to be a property.  I don't see a programmatic method.  I saw someone suggest using goto control on the after update event trigger but what if the person
doesn't edit the field?  No event would be fired.
    Jim

    Hi Jim,
    >>Using MS Access Web App, can you set the tab order of the fields on a form?
I am afraid you could not. In Web applications, the tab order is set automatically and cannot be changed.
    (From
    https://support.office.com/en-au/article/Set-the-tab-order-for-controls-3d7f749c-5a53-42b2-bb0e-2323fa044e2e)
    >> I saw someone suggest using goto control on the after update event trigger but what if the person doesn't edit the field?  No event would be fired.
The goto method is a workaround, but it should be triggered by a specific event. What I can figure out is changing the order of the fields.
If this is a feature you want to include in future versions of Access Web app, please submit a feedback as the picture below:

  • Uploading large files to share fails - advice appreciated

I wondered if anyone could help me with uploading large files.
The ability to distribute files to clients with the included 20Gb of server space was part of the reason I signed up to Creative Cloud; unfortunatly I'm having very mixed results and I'm constantly having to fall back on the free DropBox service which seems much more reliable.
I'm working on a MacPro - 10.6.8 with a optical fibre based ISP 20Mb/s service; the service is, dare I say, usually very quick and reliable.  Before uploading a large file I set energy saver to "never sleep" in case I wonder off for a cup of tea, but enevitably come back to what looks like a "stuck" upload.  I've tried three times today to send a 285Mb file and they all failed so I reverted to sending the file by DropBox... with no problem - I've also sent files in excess of 1Gb by DropBox in the past without an issue.
Todays file had reached about 50% according to the little progress bar.. it then stopped.   (it's a shame the progrees bar can't relay the actual upload speed and a percentage like DropBox so you can see what's going on)
I have to state, I'm not a DropBox "fanboy" but it just seems to work...
Are their any tricks or settings that could make Adobe's 20Gb of space a functioning part of my workflow?  It would be great to feel confident in it.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Either Firefox or Chrome would be a good alternative.
I would see if one of these browsers works for upload but we can also debug the issue on Safari.
Here are the steps to debug on Safari:
Add the Develop menu to Safari. From the menu choose Safari > Preferences. Select the Advanced tab and check the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Once logged onto the Creative Cloud Files page (https://creative.adobe.com/files) Ctrl + Click anywhere on the page and from the browser context menu choose Inspect Element.
In the window that opens in the bottom half of the browser click on the Clock icon (mouse over info tip says Instrument) and on the left select Network Requests.
Try the upload and you will see various network requests. Look for those whose Name is "notification". When you select one in the list there will be an arrow next to "notification" and clicking on it will take you to the details. See screen shot. If successful you will have a Status of 200. Some of these "notification" items are for your storage quota being updated, but the one we want is for the successful upload.

  • Uploading file to online classroom dropbox, file is not found using Firefox 7.0 but I am able to upload using IE9

I just upgraded my Firefox version to 7.0 and I am currently attending online courses through Kaplan University. I was attempting to upload a .ppt file to the classroom drop-box and it was not recognizing the file as being there while using Firefox 7.0. I opened IE9 and was able to upload the .ppt file without a problem, so this is leading me to believe that there is an issue with Firefox 7.0. I have never had this issue using past versions of Firefox and this is the first time that it has happened.

Thank you for your prompt email.
I have thoroughly checked and double-checked all the factors below.
On two different computers. Unfortunately, nothing has helped yet.
I can assure you that each item listed below has been checked several times during all my searching today and ALSO again right now.
There are no problems with Plugins, Themes or Extensions found. No permissions blocked, No media blocked images, No third-party permissions blocked. No images blocked from any domains. And images are 'Enabled'. There are no exceptions in place to the loading images. No exclusions in my security software settings.
AND I have checked all of this on a second computer that is also having this same problem. That person is using a different security software than I am but they are having the same problem with images in only their Gmail account also - but NOT when using IE9. Only when signing in through Firefox. And we both think it started yesterday or this morning.
That pc is still on Firefox version 12.0. I updated earlier today to version 13.0 but the problem is still ongoing for both of us.
Any further help will be greatly appreciated.
I have to get something accomplished. WAY behind now.
    Thank you,
    ElaineB.

  • If I attach a file to an email using Firefox it is received jumbled up but not so if I send the same file with Safari

By jumbled I mean letters, symbols, punctuation marks etc. Total nonsense. If I scan a document then e.mail it using Firefox as my browser, when opened it is a jumble. If I take that same scanned document and e.mail it out using Safari it opens up completely legible. This is new stuff only since today. Heretofore Firefox has been terrific.

In Mail's menu, go to Edit > Attachments > Always send windows-friendly attachments and click it.
Attachments may appear embedded in the email on your end, but should appear as standard Windows attachments on the recipient's end.

  • Unable to load CSV data using APEX Data Load using Firefox/Safari on a MAC

I have APEX installed on a Windows XP machine connected to an 11g database on the same Windows XP machine.
While on the windows XP, using IE 7, I am able to successfully load a CSV spreadsheet of data using the APEX Data Load utility.
However, if I switch to my MacBook Pro running OS X leopard, then login into same APEX machine using Firefox 2 or 3 or Safari 3, then try to upload CSV data, it fails on the "Table Properties" step when it asks you for the name of the new table and then asks you to set table properties, the table properties just never appear (they do appear in IE 7 on Windows XP) and if you try to hit the NEXT button, you get error message: "1 error has occurred. At least one column must be specified to include in new table." and of course, you can't specify the any of the columns because there is nothing under SET TABLE PROPERTIES in the interface.
I also tried to load data with Firefox 2, Firefox 3 (beta), and Safari 3.1, but get same failed result on all three. If I return to the Windows XP machine and use IE 7.0, Data Load works just fine. I work in an ALL MAC environment, it was difficult to get a windows machine into my workplace, and all my end users will be using MACs. There is no current version of IE for the MAC, so I have to use Firefox or Safari.
Is there some option in Firefox or Safari that I can turn on so this Data Load feature will work on the MAC?
Thanks for your help. Any assistance appreciated.
    Tony

I managed to get this to work by saving the CSV file as Windows CSV (not DOS CSV), which allowed the CSV data to be read by Oracle running on Windows XP. I think the problem had to do with different character sets being used for CSV on MAC versus CSV on Windows. Maybe if I had created my windows XP Oracle database with Unicode as the default character set, I never would have experienced this problem.

  • I am using Firefox 11 and I am unable to print web pages. I can print PDFs ok. I tried to open the prefs.js file to delete anything that starts with print and I get an error message.

I cannot print web pages. I've tried the solutions suggested like deleting anything that starts with print in the prefs.js file but I get an error message: Script: c:\users\rick\appdata\roading\mozilla\firefox\profiles\iviwh5c1.default\prefs.js
    line: 1
    Char: 1
    Error: invalid character
    code: 800A03F6
    Source: Microsoft JScript compilation error

When editing '''prefs.js''' you need to use a simple text editor program. WinXP Notepad messes up the line formatting of prefs.js, so I use Wordpad - but you need to save the edited file in a Text-Only format (Wordpad asks about that when you go to save the edited file). I never used Win7, so I don't know if that version of Notepad messes with the line formatting of prefs.js or not.
Another thing - make sure '''''"Hide extensions for known file types"''''' is de-delected in Windows file / folder options > view -> advanced settings. Otherwise Windows may add a .txt file extension that you won't be able to see, and that will break that file in Firefox. '''prefs.js.txt''' won't be recognized by Firefox, when is expecting to find '''''prefs.js''''' .

  • File Splitting for Large File processing in XI using EOIO QoS.

    Hi
I am currently working on a scenario to split a large file (700MB) using sender file adapter "Recordset Structure" property (eg; Row, 5000). As the files are split and mapped, they are, appended to a destination file. In an example scenario a file of 700MB comes in (say with 20000 records) the destination file should have 20000 records.
To ensure no records are missed during the process through XI, EOIO, QoS is used. A trigger record is appended to the incoming file (trigger record structure is the same as the main payload recordset) using UNIX shellscript before it is read by the Sender file adapter.
XPATH conditions are evaluated in the receiver determination to eighther append the record to the main destination file or create a trigger file with only the trigger record in it.
Problem that we are faced is that the "Recordset Structure" (eg; Row, 5000) splits in the chunks of 5000 and when the remaining records of the main payload are less than 5000 (say 1300) those remaining 1300 lines get grouped up with the trigger record and written to the trigger file instead of the actual destination file.
For the sake of this forum I have a listed a sample scenario xml file representing the inbound file with the last record wih duns = "9999" as the trigger record that will be used to mark the end of the file after splitting and appending.

In the sender file adapter I have for test purpose changed the "Recordset structure" set as "Row,5" for this sample xml inbound file above.
I have two XPATH expressions in the receiver determination to take the last record set with the Duns = "9999" and send it to the receiver (coominication channel) to create the trigger file.
In my test case the first 5 records get appended to the correct destination file. But the last two records (6th and 7th record get sent to the receiver channel that is only supposed to take the trigger record (last record with Duns = "9999").
Destination file: (This is were all the records with "Duns NE "9999") are supposed to get appended)

We do have 64 bit architecture and still we have the file processing problem. Currently we are splitting the file into smaller chuncks and processsing. But we want to process as a whole file.

  • Can't copy large files to AirPort Disk Using Windows 7

    Hi Everyone,
I'm positng because I'm unable to copy large files to an AirPort Disk using Windows 7.  I have the following setup.
    AirPort Extreme:
    - Firmware version: 7.6.1
    - Airport disks secured by password
    - No guest access allowed
    - Airport Disk Preferences:
      - Automatically discover airport disks is enabled
      - Show Airport Disks in the system tray is enabled
    External Drive:
    - Western Digital 500 GB MyBook External Drive connected to Airport Extreme thru USB
    - FAT32 Formated
    Computers:
    - 2 Toshiba Proteges, Both with 4GB RAM
    - Both have Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 64-bit version
    - (Sorry we have no MacBooks at home, just iPhones and iPods!)
    Airport Utility:
    - Version  5.6.1
    Airport Disk Preferences Utility:
    - Version  1.5.5.3
A week ago, I was able to copy over large files (videos <4GB in size) to the drive.  Now, when I try to copy over these large files to the drive, the copy dialog box hangs.  I receive a message stating that Windows is calculating the size, but then it doesn't copy over.  Windows then gives me a message that it is unable to copy to the drive.  When I test the drive connection by copying a small text file over, it copies over quickly and seamlessly.  This problem occurs on both computers.
I am able to do the following with the drive connection:
    - Read files
    - Change file names
    - Copy files from the drive to my computer
    - See the contents of drive
I've tried all the combinations of the following with no success:
    - Turning off Windows Search
    - Downgrading the firmware
    - Reconfiguring wireless adapter
    - Rebooting computer
    - Rebooting wireless router
    - Rebooting external drive
The drive seems to be working fine except for when I want to copy <2GB files over to the drive.  Does anyone have a solution that seems to work?
    Thanks!

I'm happy to report that, after reformatting the drive to HFS+ (aka Mac OS Extended), there are no problems writing/copying large or small files to the AirDisk drive.  I'm also happy to report that I am copying to the drive at a rate of roughly 4MB/s.
As I mentioned earlier, the only catch is that I am unable to plug the external drive directly into a Windows computer via the USB port as Windows is unable to read HFS+ formatted drives.  (I can, however, plug the drive into a Mac computer as they can read HFS+ formatted drives.  The only problem is that I don't own any Macs at this time!  LOL!)
You're probably wondering how I formatted the external drive to HFS+ since I don't own any Macs.  (Windows only allows you to format drives in exFAT, FAT, NTFS and the like.)  That is a good question.  Basically, I downloaded an open source formatting tool called, Gparted, which allows you to format any USB drive to any major file format system.  Since Gparted is an open source tool, it is a little cumbersome to use. Once you figure out how to use it, it is a cinch to format the drive to HFS+.  (Of course, an easier method would be to borrow a friend's mac, plug the drive into their mac, and format it to HFS+ using their mac.)
For a step-by-step guide on how to solve this problem, see the steps below:
    1) Backup all data from external drive
        a) Fortunately, I have a 1TB ultraportable USB drive which has enough space to backup all data on the drive
    2) Format the external drive to HFS+ using one of the methods below
        a) Plug it into a Mac and format it
         b) Use Gparted (free) to format it
    3) Plug the drive back into the Airport Extreme
    4) Start copying files over to your networked drive!
I hope this helps you! Cheers!

  • Difficulty compressing a large file - compact command fails

I am trying to compress a 419 GB SQL Server database, following the instructions in the compression example described here:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190257(v=sql.90).aspx
I have set the filegroup to read-only, and taken the database offline.  I logged into the server that hosts the file, and ran this from a command prompt:
    =====================================================
    F:\Database>compact /c CE_SecurityLogsArchive_DataSecondary.ndf
    Compressing files in F:\Database\
    CE_SecurityLogsArchive_DataSecondary.ndf [ERR]
CE_SecurityLogsArchive_DataSecondary.ndf: Insufficient system resources exist to
    complete the requested service.
0 files within 1 directories were compressed.
0 total bytes of data are stored in 0 bytes.
The compression ratio is 1.0 to 1.
    F:\Database>
    ===============================================
As you can see, it gave me an error: "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service."  The drive has 564 GB free, so I doubt that is the issue.  Here are some specs on the server:
    MS Windows Server 2003 R2, Enterprise x64 Edition, SP2
    Intel Xeon E7420 CPU @ 2.13 GHz; 8 logical processors (8 physical)
    7.99 GB RAM
Any suggestions how to handle this?  I really need to get this large file compressed, and this method seems appealing if I can make it work, because you can supposedly continue to query from the database even though it has been compressed.  If
I use a compression utility like 7Zip, I doubt that I'll be able to query from the compressed file.

    Hi,
Based on my knowledge, if you compress a file that is larger than 30 gigabytes, the compression may not succeed.

  • Can I upload an image using an URL for an image already on the web? (I want to do this because the image I am trying to reference updates daily)

I am using a PC with windows 7. I have a number of figures that update daily as data is automatically download that I would like to build a page to display. I am hoping that by uploading an image using the URL it will update when the image updates at that URL. I am not sure if this is possible.

You need to use a jpeg image or a PNG image. Use GraphicConverter 7.3 to change the format.
