Large images appear black

Large images may appear as black blocks. I've used 9GAG as an example because it happens quite often on 9GAG (so it was easy to find an example), but it happens on some other websites too. The images are displayed correctly in other browsers.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

What happens is I go to File/Automate/Merge to HDR Pro, then select my 3 images, which are flattened psd files (I have tried tifs and jogs too), hit OK, it processes them, but instead of the image appearing, I get this black image. You can see my original images at bottom... jpegs too),

  • Larger Document Appears Black and Displays Incorrectly

    Hello,
I have just purchased Web Premium CS4. Photoshop CS4 Extended was included with the package and I installed and ran it. Sadly any large document I tried to open appears black and sometimes when I zoom in partly displays with random black lines through it. I have checked my system's specs and they all match up with the requirements. I am running Vista SP1 on a Dell computer. I have read all the knowledge base articles relating to this matter and have done everything they said (including disabling OpenGL, etc.) but still the problem continues. Is there any way or patch/addon to fix this?
    Thank You So Much,
    Bailey

Do they open up in other images manipulation software packages? Try CS3 if you have it.
What size, format (psb, tiff, etc) are they?
I've only experienced what you say with corrupt files...I hope that's not the case here.

  • How do you create a rollover so larger image appears nearby?

I'd like to create a rollover so that when your mouse moves over the first, the rollover appears as a larger image near to the first.

You can do it with pure CSS, too.

I am making a 12 minute film on a Dell dimension 2400 using elements 2 (which I have done several times before without problems).

  • Why do my images appear black when I insert them into documents?, Why do my images appear black when I insert them into documents?

For the last few months when I try to insert images into word, powerpoint etc and also PDF's they appear as black.
My suppliers have also noted that this happens when I send images to them for artwork etc.
    Any clues please?
    Thanks!

At a guess? Because they're the wrong colour profile. But who knows, with that amount of info to work with it might also be the wind direction
Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS.  So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • When opened, my image appears black with a few red lines at the top, yet the thumbnail looks as it should be. How do I fix this?

I have been working on an illustration in Photoshop for a few months now. When I tried to open it yesterday it came up as a single layered black image with a few red lines at the top. I have no idea what this is. I have not even used red in my artwork. However, no matter how many times open this file, the thumbnail still looks like my artwork, as it should be. How do I fix this? Will I be able to get my artwork back? Please help! Thank you in advance.

Make sure you has the latest Windows Device driver for your display adapted from its manufacturer's web site installed on your system. Perhaps you updated the device driver with a Microsoft Windows Update.   Microsoft update does not always install the correct update needed fpr Phoroshop.

  • Roll over to view larger image, click to select

Which combined server behaviors or technologies would allow
me to create a dynamic image gallery of thumbnails that when you
roll over any thumbnail image (images are populated via repeat
region recordset behavior), you can view a larger image. Selecting
a thumbnail would select the larger image version.
I do not need to know how to create the thumbnail images
(this would be achieved via aspjpeg with a repeat region applied to
it) but rather how to make it work as explained.

    for an example.

OK so I'm almost there! A little more help if it's not too much trouble.
I've used the "mouse-over to enlarge" example and it seems to be working.
The images sit together top left (ie. the larger image appears over the top of the smaller image and both top left corners of the images sit in the same x and y position - it appears to grow to the right and down!). Can I change this so that the images sit in the same position bottom right and the image grows bigger, up and right?
Alternatively if it's easier I could do "mouse-over and click", but I need the click to open my image in a new window, sized to the image (so I can still see the main page in the original browser window).
    Thanks again
    Lopoc

  • So frustrated!!!! mouseover to display larger image

I've searched all day for the answer, been sent 400 lines of
code that I couldnt understand, read the tutorials... got nowhere.
    so, here we go...
    I have 3 images. 'Front.gif' 'back.gif' and 'detail.gif. I
sell dresses. I want the user to be able to click on the small gif
'front' and for the large image of the front of the dress to appear
(on the same page but different location to front.gif). Then the
user clicks on 'back.gif' and the front picture of the dress is
replaced with the back view. then repeat for the 'detailed' view of
    the dress.
all pictures/photos the the dress (front, back and detail)
    are the same size.
I've tried layers, rollovers, swaps, crazy code that got me
half way. I feel like dreamweaver is laughing at me saying "just
click on that blue button and thats it"!!!!!
    thanks, kitty

  • Thumbnail to larger image rollover

In GoLive CS, now that I've learned how to do a regular rollover, I'm trying to do a rollover where a larger image appear (possibly with a brief caption) over or near a thumbnail image. I've searched other threads here about this with suggestions for Lightbox, etc. which I'll consider. But can this simply be done with GL alone? I tried it using the Rollovers and Actions palate but the larger image that appears over the thumbnail is no larger. Does Layers have something to do with a solution (never worked in Layers)? Perhaps there's a tutorial for this?

In article <[email protected]>,<br /> Wayneswhirld <[email protected]> wrote:<br /><br />> It might work for me even though it seems to leave out the option of a <br />> caption in the larger image<br /><br />You can do that, too, by assigning another GL action to the trigger: <br />Text Swap (ID).<br /><br />First you need to assign an ID to the element - e.g. <p> or <div> - that <br />contains your text. Then add the action to the trigger link and in the <br />Inspector enter the name of the ID and the text you want displayed when <br />the action is triggered.<br /><br />I have two samples here, one on click the other on hover:<br /><a href=http://www.simnet.is/klipklap/golive/swaptext/><br /><a href=http://www.simnet.is/klipklap/golive/swaptext/sample.html><br /><br />-- <br />Cheers  Martin

We are using a mix of .TIF and .bmp images in black and type in black with a full background of Panotone Hexachrome Orange M. When we make a PDF of this the images and type appear dark grey on the PDF. When we print them they print out normal.

  • Image no longer displays, appears black

I'm running CC on iMac with Mavericks. I'm editting images building up adjustment layers and I get to 5 or 6 layers and the the image no longer appears - the edit window just shows a black rectangle, the same size as the image. The image is still in memory - if I export, save i can view the image. Adjustments still work - I've tested changing canvas size. I can run pluggins like Nik and the image appears in Nik but all black when it's returned to Photoshop. My only work around is to save image, quit and restart PS. This is seriously slowing down my work flow. This never happened when I was using CS6. I'm working on a high spec imac so shouldn't be a performace / resource issue. I'm only running PS and Lightroom.

  • Imported .bmp files appear black, no image can be seen

    Hi all,
I am attempting to import some .bmp assets that will be part of a webpage I am creating using iweb. However when I import the .bmp files they appear black instead of seeing the graphic. Any ideas?

    Ron
Yes but what color profile are they?
Given that they have red in them, then they are not greyscale images, however, given that they come from Illustrator there is a very good chance that they have a CYMK profile, and as I said, iPhoto supports RGB only. Open the images with Preview and use the Tools menu to ascertain the Color Profile. Change it to RGB if needed.
