Large Images aren't display after report is saved

I created a new crystal report, in the crystal reports application, and inserted a 8.5" X 11" 600 DPI image and saved the report.  I closed the report and opened it again and the image control exists but the image was missing. I tried TIF, BMP & JPG formats and got the same results.  Smaller images worked fine.
System Specs:
Crystal  Reports 2008 V 12.0.0.840
Windows XP Pro SP3
Visual Studio 2005

Hi,
Try this.
Go to File| Options| Reporting.
Check the last option "Retain Original Image Color Depth"

  • Toolbar Images aren't displayed after upgrading to CR VS2005 Sp1

    Hi,
    I have upgraded the embedded CR VS2005 with the CR VS2005 SP1.
    Previously, the toolbar images is displayed correctly in the production pc.
    I have copied aspnet_client to the root of the web and add httpHandlers for CrystalImageHandler.aspx in the web.config.
    I also added authorization for aspnet_client in web.config.
    But it still didn't display anything.
    The images showed correctly in my deployment pc.
    Anybody can help me how to fix this?
    Thanks before

    My client has found the solution for this problem.
    Apparently, the CR will redirect the images and js to the windows folder.
    I included "CrystalReportWebFormViewer3" folder to be copied to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ASP.NETClientFiles\ in the installer and it makes the images displayed works fine now.
    Thanks for the help.
    Cheers,

  • Crystal Reports with images aren't displayed in the InfoView

    Hi everybody,
    I have a problem with my Crystal reports and its display in the info view. If the reports include images from the repository, the reports aren't displayed when hit in the BO-InfoView.
    This errors does not occur if there are just images in the report. Only the combination of images, embedded XCelsius-SWFs and data from the defined data sources causes the problem.
    Instead of the correct report, I get a white blank screen.

    Hello,
    I have installed the SAP webdispatcher 7.3 on Linux redhat 5.4 in front of the Portal 7.3.
    I wanted to restrict the access just for the IRJ prefix so for this i used the parameter wdisp/permission_table = PermFile

    #Denial of the useradmin URL from the WebDispatcher
    P /irj*
    P /irj/*
    The filtering is working well except that for IRJ the images are not displayed so i was using so i added the following line to disply the images to the logon page
    icm/HTTP/auth_
    P /logon_ui_resources/*
    P /logon_ui_resources*
    but i still have the same issue for the irj page where no icons are displayed and i can do nothing.
    The same issue also happened when using the icm/HTTP/auth_xx
    Do you have an idea how to deal with this issue?

  • Converted GIF Images Does Not Display In Report

    I have a wmf file that contains an image. I converted the wmf file into a gif using software A. This image displays correctly in Oracle Forms and Reports (9.0.4). I take the same wmf file and use software B to convert the file into a gif. Using the same form and report, the gif image displays in Oracle Forms but doesn't display in Oracle Reports. I don't see why a gif image coverted from software A works properly but not when converted from software B. They are both gif images as a result of the conversion from the same wmf source file.
    The reason I prefer software B is because it's a command line executable and the output is close to the original wmf file. When using the command line executabe from software A to convert the wmf file, the resulting gif file is 1/4 the original size and blocky when resized to the original wmf dimensions.
    Is this an Oracle Reports issue/setting or the converter I'm using?

    Thanks Clare!
    Yes I run IE as Administrator. please find screen shots.
    Also, SQL Server is running in SQL server and windows authentication mode. and when i connect data source in BIDS with windows authentication, test shows success but with another login id ReportServerLogin it does not connect. ReportServerLogin login has
    all rights given and is there as sysadmin.

But we found out that some images (coming from $OA_MEDIA) are not displayed. There are two image columns in the page. Images in one column are displayed while images in other aren't. Also what I have observed is, missing images are displayed until I run the VO import on server.

  • Image is not displayed after upload

    Hello, I have imported an application from oracle APEX 3.0 10g in my express edition APEX 3.0 . In this application you can upload pictures in the database and afterwards show them in a report. in 10g everything works well. In my XE the pictures are not shown(red cross) but were written in the database.
    Procedure to select the images from the table:
    create or replace procedure emps_image_display (p_emp_id in number)
    as
    l_mime varchar2(255);
    l_length number;
    l_file_name varchar2(2000);
    lob_loc BLOB;
    begin
    select mime_type, image, image_name, dbms_lob.getlength(image)
    into l_mime, lob_loc, l_file_name, l_length
    from emps_images where emp_id = p_emp_id;
    owa_util.mime_header(nvl(l_mime,'application/octet'), FALSE );
    htp.p('Content-length: ' || l_length);
    htp.p('Content-Disposition: filename="' || l_file_name || '"');
    owa_util.http_header_close;
    wpg_docload.download_file( Lob_loc );
    end;
    the process has grant on execute
    procedure on the page:
    begin
    delete from emps_images where emp_id = :P6_EMP_ID;
    insert into emps_images (image_id, emp_id, image_name, mime_type, image)
    select null, :P6_EMP_ID, filename, mime_type, blob_content
    from wwv_flow_files where name = :P6_IMAGE_URL;
    delete from wwv_flow_files where name = :P6_IMAGE_URL;
    end;
    The writing of the picture in the database works well, only it is not shown on the page (red cross)
    the SQL query to show the pictures in the report:
    select e.emp_id, e.last_name, e.first_name, e.phone, e.email, e.location, e.job,
    decode(i.image_id, null, 'No Image Found',
    '') image
    from emps_view e, emps_images i
    where e.emp_id = :P10_EMPID
    and e.emp_id = i.emp_id(+)
    If no entry exists in the table, " No image found " is shown. otherwise ... the red cross :)
    the URL to the picture looks as follows:
    http://127.0.0.1:8081/apex/WORKSHOP.emps_image_display?p_emp_id=2
    I hope, somebody here can help me.

    Are you sure, that you granted the privileges for executing EMPS_IMAGE_DISPLAY procedure to the right database user?
    In XE (APEX 2.1), the default database user for HTTP access is ANONYMOUS, in other editions it is APEX_PUBLIC_USER.
    To check this, create a report on any of your pages with this SQL:
    SELECT USER from DUAL
    This should show you the username, that you should grant execute to.

  • Image won't display after uploaded

  • In-design CS4 Export to RTF format, .png & .eps images aren't displaying.

    I have an InDesign CS4 document that has a combination of .png images, .eps images & text.  And I'm trying to export the main story that contains all the content to RTF format.  The export generates a .rtf file.  And when I view the document in a plain text editor such as Notepad or UltraEdit, I can see the images are there due to the lines & lines of image encoding.  But when I open it inside of Word 2010 or Word Pad, I don't see the images.  I just see the text.
    I've tried generating the rtf export using the normal In-Design interface, as well as trying the sample javascript "ExportAllStories.jsx" that comes with CS4.  Both fail to generate an RTF doc with a readable .png or .eps graphic.
    My Images are AchoredObjects inside of Rectangles.  I can provide the IDML export code if needed.
    I've also verified that if I add an image into Word, be it .png or .eps & then save as RTF, the images are later viewable.
    Is there a bug with In-Design CS 4 in how it generates .png & .eps images for RTF?

    I think I finally figured this out. I move a lot of docts back and forth between InDesign and Word, and oddly enough - some of the PNG files WERE exporting from InDesign to RTF, but not others. So I knew that it wasn't impossible! My client gives me Word docts created using screenshots, sometimes over 200 graphics in one doct. I make sure they are all inline with the text in Word, which keeps them inline  when I place them in InDesign (although they are not "anchored objects" as such). All of the graphics were treated the exact same way, so why should some export to RTF and not all of them? I finally unembedded all the links to compare file properties, and there were absolutely no differences - except SIZE. I tested a few randomly, making some files bigger in Photoshop, and making others smaller, and that absolutely made the difference in whether they would export to RTF or not. The cutoff seems to be somewhere between 40-50 KB. So instead of discriminating against certain file types, that was just coincidental - since PNG files (and GIF) are generally so small.
    But I'm still a little stuck as to the best workflow, given the quantity of image files I have in each doct. I tried creating an action in PS to change the image resolution from 72 to 150, applied it to the whole folder, then updated the links in InDesign. And yes, all but the very tiniest images are now exporting to RTF, but the image quality is crappy! I would love it if someone has any advice on  that.
    Sorry, should have mentioned - this is InDesign CS5.

  • Click to Popup Larger Image from report

    This has to be simple, and I am just missing it.
    I am displaying an image in an interactive report, using apex_util.get_blob_file_src.
    I need to add a link to "Click to popup larger image".
    This is an upgrade of a form that did this the old way, using custom image display.
    Is there a way to do this using apex_util.get_blob_file_src?
    Perhaps I am just getting the syntax wrong -
    The image is displayed as in the sample app - I just the the correct syntax to open the image in a popup window on click, presumable using popupURL or popUp2.
    Than you - Karen

    Thank you, VC.
    That is exactly what I have already done - seemed the cleanest, fastest way to get the job done and move on.
    With a bit more research, I suspect I could implement a jQeury solution that nicely displays an image in a popup - but as this was an upgrade, the task was to get it working.
    Using the APEX page, single region, image item is a nice clean way to make it work.
    With a little styling to control the size of the image (these were not controlled upon input, as they should have been in this case), all work smoothly.
    Thank you - Karen

  • Displaying BLOB images from table in a report

    I am trying to upload images to a table, display them in a report afterwards. I have succeeded in the first part, but not in the second.<br>

    Alayan - If you're using XE, that shoud be the first thing you tell us. There is a separate forum for that product.
    But as long as you're here, a couple points: you reference the "display" procedure in the img tag without qualifying it with an owner. How is the Embeded PL/SQL Gateway supposed to know what "display" is (unless you created a public synonym)? Next, in XE you need to explicitly enable access to procedures that are invoked this way. See the XE forum for discussion about that technique and read the doc here: http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25329_01/doc/appdev.102/b25309/adm_wrkspc.htm#BEJCGJFJ.

  • Photos aren't displaying images?

    Last year I went on holiday and at the time I took lots of photos, around 500 in total. However some of the photos aren't displaying the image of the photo, just black or white squares. When I took the pictures they registered as pictures and you could see the photo without any problem. Soon after I returned home, when I tried to upload them to my laptop, I noticed some weren't displaying anything anymore. The photo thumbnail is just a black or white square, and when I tap on it pulls up the 'photo' but there is no image. I'm uploading them to Facebook and I thought it was just an issue with the file format (even though they were taken on the iPhone) and maybe they would display once uploaded, but they haven't. If I remember correctly, when I checked the file size on my laptop they read 0KB. What happened to my photos? Can I get them back?
    This is what it looks like. They used to be photos but now they're blank thumbnails. The exact same happens but in black on some photos.

    Did you make a backup after taking the photos to iCloud or iTunes?  If so, restore them.
    Did you have Photostream enabled?  If so, check your Photostream album for copies of the photos, or use the iCloud function on a Mac or the iCloud Control Panel for Windows to get your photos from Photostream to your computer.

  • RoboHelp 8 HTML WebHelp How to display a larger image of a thumbnail by clicking on or rolling over the thumbnail?

    How would you display a larger image of a thumbnail by clicking or rolling over the thumbnail?

    Hi there
    For a mouseover you would have to add some custom developed JavaScript. You could probably find some pre-made on the web if you poked around.
    Generally speaking, any way you slice it you will be using two images. One for the thumbnail and one for the full sized image. You could employ the popup functionalty to pop up the larger image.
    I used to simply create DHTML drop-downs and insert the large images in the drop-down area.

  • How to load a large image for display on the Palm PDA

    Hello:
    I have a large image I would like to display on LV for Palm PDA. The documentation states there should be a 64K chunk limitation for VIs to compile on the Palm. Therefore, I decided to break this image up into 2D arrays of less than 64K per subVI. My 3.2 Meg image therefore has about 224 2D array subVIs. My motivation is to somehow use the build array function (with concatenate inputs) to reconstruct the image at runtime. I can compile each 2D array subVI as a test, but my attempt to reassemble and compile is futile. When I try to use the build array with only 8 of these subVIs in a top level VI the compiler complains its still too big of a VI. Using get info, memory for this top level states total ~2
    3K of memory usage.
    So can someone help me with this problem. Is there another way to load this size of an image into memory so I can display it on a picture control?
    BTW, this can build on LV for PocketPC.
    Thank you
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
    You are correct in that one of the limitations of the Palm OS is that files cannot be larger than 64 KB in size (as stated on page 5-3 of the LabVIEW PDA Module User Manual). The suggested workaround is indeed to have a top-level PDA VI that calls subVIs, and this top-level VI can then have a total file size larger than 64 KB.
    My suspicion is that with the picture control on the Palm OS, even if you are breaking up the image into smaller subVIs, the process of building the array to reassemble the picture is still forcing the Palm to allocate memory for each of those 2D array subVIs to place on the top-level VI's picture control
    and thus causing the Palm to complain about not having enough memory. The LabVIEW PDA User Manual also states that "There is a total limit of 64 KB on all front panel array data". Thus, when you are trying to use the build array on the top-level VI, the 64 KB limit on front panel array data is still being exceeded -- even with only 8 of these subVIs.
    The following KnowledgeBase article KB 38EJRHFQ: How Do I Put a Picture or Image on My LabVIEW PDA for Palm Front Panel? states that as a workaround, you can shrink the size of your image by using 4-bit or 1-bit data instead of the standard 8-bit pixmap representation.
    This is really just a limitation of the Palm OS and the fact that there is simply no way of displaying that much front panel information for your picture. Either way, you would need to build up the array of pixels for your bitmap, and for a 3.2 MB image, I don
    't believe there is any way for the Palm OS PDA to display the image in its entire at once.
    Sorry about that...
