Large images look pixelated in Keynote 6.2.2

Hi,
I'm having a problem with Keynote 6.2.2 whereby a very tall image I use (770w 15,000h pixels) looks really pixelated when I insert it.
I use this image with magic move to create a content strip the presenter can work through.  A bit like a twitter feed.
This works fine in Keynote 5.3 but when I open it or insert into Keyntoe 6.2.2 the entire image is pixelated and the text within it unreadable.
Can anyone shed some light on this please?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gary,
This also doesn't work.  Again the image is shrunk down (height 4,096) then blown up when you resize to 15,000 pixels.
See the example below.
I'm quickly coming to the conclusion that someone building the new keynote kept the max dimensions low in order to accommodate iOS.

InDesign CS6 - Default display is high-quality. All four placed images are Illustrator files. Three images look the way they should - high-quality. One image looks pixelated. Why?

Not sure if this will help, but what is your inDesign file's "Transparency Blend Space" set to? It's under the edit menu.
Also, when you are placing your images, are you selecting "Show Import Options" and making any selections there?

  • Illustrator cc image looks pixelated after saving with transparent background

as the title states; image looks pixelated after saving with transparent background...
i created a logo in adobe illustrator cc and i wanted to saved it for web in order to be able to copy and paste the logo where ever I wanted but the image looks extremely pixelated after saving as an png, and for web. Is there a solution for this?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you!!

What DPI did you save as:
You should always save as 300dpi, then you can always reduce  the size as needed.
Another thing, don't copy and paste, that always causes that Problem.
In Acrobat you should open Tools Menu click on Content Editing  the Add Image.
Then click on image and choose Properties and place where you want and size as you desire.

  • Images look pixelated on my iPad

I'm making a small publication with simple interactivity and I'm having a hard time figuring out why my images look pixelated and blurry on my iPad. They are TIFFs, but tried converting them to PDF, PSD, PNG, and JPEG and all formats look the same or worse. I changed the resolution to 150 (they were at 72) and it still looks like, for lack of better word, crap.
I even tried laying out each photo in InDesign using the 1024x768 dimensions and exporting each image as an interactive pdf, since that seemed to work for the vector imagery I'm using, but it also looked really low resolution. Does anyone know why this is happening? I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks!

What size are you making your folio in Folio Builder Panel (FBP)? I assume you are testing on an iPad 3. Make sure the folio size is 2048x1536 in FBP. You can leave your InDesign document at 1024x768. Make sure the folio format is set to PDF too.

  • Why is it when I zoom at any value other than 25%, 50% or 100% my photoshop image looks pixelated?

This is really bugging me and I can't get any work done...but I've had Photoshop for years so I know that if you zoom at any value other that 25%, 50%, 100%, 200% etc then the image loses some of it's quality, but up until today the image looked a little blurry when at a different zoom value, but now it looks really pixelated which makes the image looks really ugly and is making it hard to actually do anything. I have no idea what I did to change it to this, but now I can't change it back and I've tried everything I can think of.

I've been using Photoshop for a decade and a half and have never, ever seen what you describe.

  • Eps images looking pixelated when placed in Indesign

I am creating a catalogue. The images I am using are eps files.
In some instances the image once placed into Indesign come out completely or partly pixelated.
I have checked the display performance and it is on high quality. I am also placing the image not copy and pasting.
What do I need to do to fix the problem?

I don't know what PDF profile you exported to, but try PDF/X-4 and see if it results in a better PDF.
It sounds like the AI file could have either transparency and is being flattened or the PDF profile used to export is flattening the PDF gradient itself. The white lines...do they get larger as you zoom in? If not, they are stitching lines and usually do not print.

  • Xml images look pixelated =/

    Hi,
I made a site for a friend that uses an xml gallery. If you click the "view portfolio" planet, you will see that the loaded thumbnail images and the full images are pixelly. However, they look fine in the stand-alone swf. I though it might have something to do with the fact that the ixml mages are pngs. I tried using jpegs but I still had the same problem.  I am not sure what to do D=

  • Image looks pixelated on loading

My Images load in CC with the highlights all colored and pixelated as if I have some view preference turned on, how do I turn this off??

My system is almost new, is CC that much different than CS5, lightroom or Elements 12 that my video card needs upgrading?
    I will give it a try……
    Thanks for the response.

  • Need help for school! Imported images suddenly pixelated (CS6, Windows)

    Hi guys,
Adobe InDesign CS6 Windows I'm a frequent user of InDesign, but I now suddenly am facing problems. Note: I use InDesign not only for print material, but also for creating PDF. I therefore do not necessarily need 300 dpi. Before: copy + paste from Photoshop or even web images into InDesign used to work. The images looked fine on screen and while printing. Now, when I import or copy + paste, all images look pixelated at 100%, high quality and overprint preview. It looks like InDesign is importing images 25% larger than their original size. If I resize the imported image to 75%, the image looks normal. 100% is always pixelated now! Did I mess up some sort op setting? I never had this problem before. Please help me, need this for school assignment!
    Thanks in advance,
    Justin

First of all, thank you for your reply. I just checked an example image and both are 72 dpi, in InDesign as well as in Photoshop. I even created a document for web in InDesign, using the 'web' & digital publishing option (which is 72 dpi) and placed the same image. At 100% pixelated, when resizing to 75% crisp. I don't know what to do..
The thing is.. I've never had this problem for years.. with importing images. Did I change settings or?
First one is Photoshop, second in InDesign (top left is import at 100%, bottom right is import resized to 75%). In case images are too small to see, full size: http://justinwust.com/photoshop.jpg & http://justinwust.com/indesign.jpg

  • Working with large images

i need to work with very large images (3000x3000 pixels) and they take a lot of memory (50MB). thing is that they don't use a lot of colors but they are loaded in memory with 24bit color model.
it is jpeg image and it is decoded to buffered image with standard jpeg decoder. i want to use buffered iamge because it is very simple to work with, however, i need to find a way to reduce memory consumption.
is it possible to somehow use different color model to reduce color count to 256, which is enough for me. i am clueless about imaging and i simple haven't got a time to get into it. i need some hints about this. i just want to know is it poosible (and how) to reduce size of BufferedImage in memory by decreasing it's number of colors.
i was thinking about using gif encoder, but it works with images, not bufferedimages and conversion takes lot of time and is not a solution.
    thanx!
    dario

You can create a byte indexed BufferedImage. This uses just 1 byte per pixel.
    Use
    public BufferedImage(int width,
    int height,
    int imageType,
    IndexColorModel cm)
    with
    imageType == BufferedImage.TYPE_BYTE_BINARY
and create a color palette with
    new IndexColorModel()

  • Open images in the Photoshop window look pixelated, but same images in Acrobat or viewer look fine. Help in resolving? Link to screenshots.

Some files and images I open in the Photoshop window look pixelated or choppy, but when I open in Acrobat or viewer they look fine. This just started about two weeks ago. I reset my settings, and all of the the help topics come up for blurry images/re-sizing. I have had this problem with .tiff, jpg, and pdf files.

That black degradation in the background at the top looks like an old ATI driver bug where if for a given pixel the red channel reaches zero all three colors of the pixel would go black.  I think that was a couple of years ago we were seeing that.
See if AMD has released newer drivers for your FirePro card.

  • How do I make a separate image look more natural on a larger image?

I am still relatively new to photoshop. Recently I got into doing photo comics in the science fiction/ action genre. I want to learn a method by which I can make a foreign image that has been modified via scale (from larger to smaller) to look natural on a larger image. For example in the photo comic I have a city playset but the toys are way larger than the city itself. I want to make them scale appropriately to the city to enhance realism whilst making the image look as natural as possible. What methods are best? Thank you.

I think (not positive) that some cartoonists will create block shapes and give them a unit size making it easier to scale the actual objects.
For example a tree which is generally 30-40 foot high you may set to 10 square blocks high and a building that is 13 to 15 feet high you may give it a single square block.
It may not be all that accurate, but it would get you in the ballpark where you could scale it more later when more objects are in the scene. It always helps to compare two objects when deciding the scale.
If you wanted to be accurate, you could google the actual size of the object then use a ratio to scale it. Then all objects would be to scale.

  • How to increase performance speed of Photoshop CS6 v13.0.6 with trasformations in LARGE image files (25,000 X 50,000 pixels) on IMac3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB memory, Mac OS 10.7.5?   Should I purchase a MacPro?

I have hundreds of these large image files to process.  I frequently use SKEW, WARP, IMAGE ROTATION features in Photoshop.  I process the files ONE AT A TIME and have only Photoshop running on my IMac.  Most of the time I am watching SLOW progress bars to complete the transformations.
I have allocated as much memory as I have (about 14GB) exclusively to Photoshop using the performance preferences panel.  Does anyone have a trick for speeding up the processing of these files--or is my only solution to buy a faster Mac--like the new Mac Pro?

  • Images look blurry in small, medium and large view in ADE

    Hi,
I am working on creating an ePub compatible on ADE, iPad, Kobo and Mobi. I have fixed the issue of image overlapping in ADE view by keeping the width as 100%, but the image looks very blurry on ADE.
    Does anybody advise?

It may sound counter-intuitive, but could you try disabling graphics hardware acceleration? Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If you restart Firefox, is the issue resolved?
