Large Picture Background

I have seen some great flash websites which have large pictures in the background. I am trying to get that effect, can this all done in flash? An example of what I mean can be found at the link below.

Can anyone give me some direction in creating this effect. I have an idea but I'm sure there maybe a more simpler way than what I'm planning.

Large Pictures in Mail Drop Turn Into Small Thumbnails (Exchange Server)

When using Mail Drop through Mac Mail, large pictures (>20MB total) are converted to thumbnails with no link to the original file. This happens when I choose to use Mail Drop for the attachments.
The large picture also shows in my sent email as a thumbnail with no link.
If I go to my iDevices, I see that I am given the option to download the original large file(s) and it works. But not on my Mac using the native Mail App.
If I send a large video it does work properly.

I'm running Entourage 2008, and after successfully connecting to the exchange mail server, it will occasionally simply drop the connection (reads: not connected). Once this happens, even restarting Entourage doesn't ask me to log-in again until the mysterious issue resolves itself. Sometimes only a few minutes, but it can occasionally last an hour or two!
Did you ever get an answer to this? My wife's office is experiencing the same (or similar) problem that Entourage disconnects from the Exchange server, with no error, no message, and mail just sits in the outbox, waiting to go out. Would love to see if anyone has suggestions.

PSE 10 will not edit large picture files after it accepts them. After editing it either changes jpeg to psd or greys out the file. What must I do?

PSE 10 allows large picture files into the organizer and editor but after editing, saving, and closing, the jpeg returns to the organizer either with a psd file extension or as a greyed out broken photo icon . Why does it cause users to waste time editing files that are too large. How do I solve the problem?

Cannot send large pictures mms/iMessage for 1 week now

For over a week now I had problems sending pictures, I had my iPhone for about 3 months (iPhone 4s) and it worked fine before. After doing some testing of my own I came to the conclusion that large pictures, for example taken with the iPhone camera, will not go through when I send MMS or iMessage, small pictures that works fine. I get a red ! and the issue remains when i try resend. However even when small pictures go through it takes a very long time for it to send.
(The same issue occurs when trying to upload photos on Facebook or Instagram, camrea photos will not upload).
I tried the following:
Send with wifif - work fine then
Restart phone, holding both buttons
Ensure i have the latest updates
Phone memory is half full
Restart and reinstall apps - isse remains
Checked ALL setting - they are correct
MMS is on
Data Roaming is on
Turned on and of Facetime
Log out and in on iMessage
Reset MMS settings
Total reset of my iPhone
Called my carrier, they said there are no issues from their side
At this point I am desperate, I have Googled, searched in several communities and tried everything I found. My conclusion is that my iPhone stoped compress pictures? If so how do I change it back?!

Hello,
First, add and agrandisser your tab control.
Second, go to edit and click on customize control ...
Third, click on import file (choose your picture), then click on change customize mode (dial key).
Finally, go to edit and click past, adjust your image and then save and return to précedent mode.

Finder Picture Background Not Working?

I'm trying to set a photo background to a few folders in finder, but it isn't working. The background remains white when I try to enable a picture background. The color backgrounds work fine, but the picture background simply refuse to work. I've restarted the computer, restarted finer, used pictures that are in the same folder as the one I want the background to be on. I just don't know what to do and I'd really like to set it.
Can anyone help me...

Did Disk Utility report any problems? If it did, did it repair them? I think what often happens with updates gone awry is a computer is having minor problems, then an update inadvertently overwrites some critical file and that minor problem is major.
Another thing to try is to start in Safe Mode. This will do a few things that Disk Utility doesn't, though I am not overly optimistic.

Safe boot mode runs a directory check command similar to that used by Disk Utility's repair. In Tiger it ignores some stored information (cache) that is normally read that speeds up the boot process, and it moves some other caches to the trash. It also uses only System fonts and disables all Startup Items, third party items, and any Login Items.
Do you have a different account? Do you have problems in that account?
If all works well in the other account and/or when using Safe Mode it is possible your Finder preferences have become corrupt. Try moving:
Home (your User name) > Library > Preferences > com.apple.finder.plist
to the desktop and restart your computer. This file saves the settings for that service and may be come corrupt. Removing it from the Preferences folder will result in a new file being created with default settings. If this helps you can trash the file but you may need to reset other things covered by that preference. If it doesn't help you can replace the newly created file with the old one and restart to regain the old settings.
Failing those things, your best bet is to use Archive and Install, selecting to keep settings and files.

Move image to larger white background

I have Elements 5 and use it to prepare photos of products for my website. My photos need to be square with a white background. Several of my vendors supply product photos, but many of them are not square and are cropped too closely to the product for me to crop again without cutting off crucial parts of the product. Is there anyway for me to place the product image on top of a larger white background?

Using Image>Resize>Canvas Size is one way and then crop the image
so it's square.

App for larger picture ID for OUTSIDE of phone?

I downloaded an App from Blackberry App World named "larger picture id's" thinking my contacts picture id's, when they call or text, would be bigger for the outside of the phone..but it only works if i keep my blackberry style phone open...is there an App available for this for my style?

I've seen picture ID for viewing picture on the main screen but haven't come across to any app that can display image in the tiny screen outside.

Thumbnails of large picture images

Hi,
I am having troubles with the thumbnail files of my Nikon Camera!
It is a D800 and all is smooth excepts for the finder thumbnails.
As you can see from the image I have selected the box "show icon preview" but only for D800 files it doesn't work.
My MacBoo pro Retina is completely updated and I have Aperture too...
I love the chance to select my pictures from the finder too...
Mac os is great for the workflow... but simply it doesn't work this time...

Further digging leads me to believe that the issue is that iOS 7 uses more RAM, and on the iPad 2, this doens't leave quite enough memory to open these 36MP RAW images.
If I close all background apps, I have been able to get Filterstorm Neue to open and edit these RAW images, while having any app still running in the background will cause a crash. No such luck with Snapseed as I'm guessing it uses a bit more memory than Filterstorm. This would account for why PhotoRaw can open and edit these files - it uses a virtual memory approach to load large files.
So unless iOS 7 becomes better optimised for RAM usage, or these apps are updated to use virtual memory, looks like I'm limited in which apps can open 36MP RAW images on an iPad 2. Wonder if a newer retina iPad would manage? They have more RAM I believe, but probably need more to run the display...

Error message exporting large picture file from Aperture 3.5

Recently I took a large panaramic comprised of 165 pictures using Gigapan Epic Pro and stitched together using software provided with Gigapan. I exported the stitched file into Aperture to perform final edits. When I go to export the final version I keep getting an error message. The file size will be approximately 2.0 GB. I've been able to export a 0.7 GB file without problems (it did take several minutes). I have a late 2009 27" iMac with 3.3 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 16 GB memory. Any suggestions? Not sure if this is an Aperture problem or if my system is not up to the task. Below is the error mesage I receive. Thanks for your assistance.

Testing: Exporting a large TIFF - the original is 24512 × 23016 (564,2 MP), 1.05 GB
The exported file that I am seeing on my Desktop after 10 minutes, is showing this in the Preview:
But after exporting there was no message at - neither an error message nor the usual alert when finished "Export 1 version completed - Reveal ...".
So, I am not yet conviced that the export went well, but Aperture can export gigantic TIFFs.
What is the file format you have been using? My test was done with TIFF, 16 bit.

Can not open large pictures in iPhoto 5

Hi All!
I have problems with opening large files (6 - 11 Mb) in iPhoto 5.
I can see the pictures in the library when i choose small icons!
For example one of these pictures is 7,7Mb and the size is 3543 x 2917.
It doesn´t open in edit-mode and i is very bad quality in "browse-mode"
The pictures have to be so big because I want to order a book with hight quality pictures.
Please help me!

This indicates a disconnect between the Thumbnail and the original
this can be caused by two things
1 - User action deleting items from inside the iPhoto library - can be directly - can be from the All images list (never delete from there) - can be from running cleanup software like MacKeeer, CleanMac2 or other dangerous, defective software that improperly deletes or changes things in the iPhoto library - if you have done any of these things you must restore your backup from before you did them and damaged your iPhoto library - and I recommend getting rid of any "clean up software" ASAP (although being essentially MalWear it is not easy)
2 - corruption of the iPhoto library - If it is not #1 then Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - repair permissions and then rebuild your database

What is the best way to manage a large picture with many tiny objects?

The picture in question is a mosaic made up of thousands of tiny shapes in Illustrator. It is about 28 in x 48 in but there is white space around the image. I am less than a quarter way through, and I am noticing that Ai is starting to be slow when refreshing the screen e.g. when changing zoom. The file is 13MB. I am concerned that the image will be too large for Ai to handle efficiently. Would you advise me to break the image down into quarters and put them together right at the end, or do you think Ai will cope with the size and complexity efficiently? If I have to make separate sections, is there a helpful technique to use? Thanks in advance.

It is 64-bit Windows 7 running the latest version of Illustrator CC on 6GB of RAM and a 3.10GHz Intel processor with a GeForce GTS 450 graphics card with the latest driver.
Symbols would be a nice solution, because there is a limited set of shapes and colours. However, the pieces have to be aligned with precision (I am working on 400% zoom) and I don't know if symbols could be aligned as easily as shapes?

Change Picture Background

I want to rotate XY graph. By using Plot multi XY. vi to convert my graph to picture (image), then rotate it. It works but I would like to change the background of picture to black or any color, instead of white. Please help. Thank you.

That VI simply overlays the graph on an existing image, so you can create a picture with a black background (use the draw rect VI) and feed it into the picture input of the VI.
