Larger iWeb Page/Window Width... too narrow by default!

My iWeb Window frame is too small (too narrow). I feel like I have little room to work with (there's too much "idle" space on the left and right sides); when I look at other sites (including this iWeb Forum Page), their Width's are wider. Is there any way to expand the default width on iWeb, so I can use more than 1/3 of each page?

The best width is 980px which is what Apple use. Change this in the Page inspector Layout window.

Publishing in iWeb page With MONTH view being the default view

Hi
I'm using iWeb to publish a page, then editing the HTML code to include a non-scrolling frame that is my iCal calendar on it. It works ok EXCEPT that it defaults to a Week View on the web page, and that looks lame because for our purposes it should really default to a MONTH view.
Does anyone know how to make this happen????
I'm stumped!!!
Unfortunately, I reached my bandwidth limit for this period (first time it's ever happened!) so I can't "show" you the page I'm talking about -- it's shut down until 3/16/07. Sure hope an iCal expert knows how to do this... ???

But if you click on the "Month" tab to switch views,

So that's the secret, then. To get your calendar to
display with the month-view by default, just use this
fully-resolved URL as the src URL in your iframe
function instead of the short URL. That should work
perfectly for you.

How do I change the window margins & slider bars? The slider bars are too narrow for my preference.

The slider bar on the right of the browser window is too narrow for me. I want to make it wider. I'm using Firefox ver 8 in Windows 7.

The problem is I very often need to do subtle adjustmennts and Fn > F12 > Shift > Option is just too much of a stretch. Possible but **** tricky

How do I increase window width

I am trying to widen the view window that an HTML snippet appears in. If you look at <http://web.me.com/genemosca/Site/Solar_PV.html> you will see that the snippet window is too wide for the view window and there are no scroll bars to allow one to scroll. However, the view window is too narrow for my browser window and there is filler that appears on either side of the view window.

You can increase the width of the page in the Page inspector Layout window to wider than the iFrame width of 1000 px and/or add scrolling to the iFrame code....

Crystal Reports 9: Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the page.

I have a report that has the following sections.
GH1
GH2a
GH2b - has a sub report
GH2c - has another sub report
GH3
GH4
GH5
details - suppressed
GF5 - suppressed
GF4 - suppressed
GF3 - suppressed
GF2 - suppressed
GF1 - suppressed
The report works fine wehn I run it using Crystal Designer.I am using CR version 9.2.2.693.
When I try to load the report in my application, I get the following error.

Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the page.Error in File rptName.rpt:
Page header or footer longer than a page.

There are no 'suppress blank sections' option set in the sections where the sub-Reports are.
I also tried setting the No Default Printer option.
The report gets loaded from the application only when I set 'New Page after' in the sections where there are sub-Reports.
I do not want to do this; Is there a workaround?

We have several reports that were written in Crystal 7 (I think) and worked in Crystal 9 and X1R2 but now give the above error. We have tried jigging the report in line with the various suggestions but at best can get them to run through successfully with one lot of data and then fail on the second or subsequent pages when you vary the data or report format even slightly. We can report on every bit of data separately or in various combinations but not in others. Changing the bottom page margin by 0.01 cm can cause it to fail on page 7 instead of page 530 (for example). We certainly do not have large page headers (just over 2cm) or page footers (about 0.3cm). We do have some subreports in the details section but have used 'fit to section', added 'keep together', removed u2018keep togetheru2019 from just about everything we can (in desperation) but to no avail. We cannot see a pattern to what is happening. It would be encouraging to know that someone is actually working on this fault.

Getting "Paper too narrow" message. What actually senses paper width? Is it an optical sensor on the print head mechanism? Sorry should have stated printer type. It's an HP 2210xi all in one and it's been darn good until now.

In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

Width of webpage - currently too narrow

I have a webpage done in the latest version of IWeb. I've never changed the layout sizes (it is on the default size at present), but my web pages do look very narrow. I'm not up on IT jargon, so can someone tell me in plain english how to make my page a more suitable width. I know its through the inspector>layout, but what settings are the best. I'd like a plain background (not a tiled photo). The website is carolann.com.au.

Carol ~ Welcome to the Support Communities. Apple says: "Safari on iPhone also sets the viewport width to 980 pixels, the width of most webpages." And apple.com appears to use mostly a width of 980 pixels.
By the way, bear in mind that iWeb pages in Safari don't respond to the View > Zoom In command. So you may also want to consider enlarging your text size in iWeb so that those without perfect vision can read it.

ACROBAT XI Pro -EDIT TOOL SET - POP-UP WINDOW IS TOO LARGE

I've been experiencing very nagging problem since installing recent Acrobat Xi Pro uodate (on windows 7 system):
Specifically - I cannot edit/change the TOOL SET to include needed TOOLS (i.e., that were all previously in my Tool set) as the EDIT TOOL SET WINDOW (i.e., pop-up
window) is TOO LARGE and does not allow scrolling/ or moving down to SAVE any tool sets and or tool set changes. Very frustrating as all attempts (and recommendations from reviews/support) for decreasing the size of EDIT TOOL SET WINDOW (popup) in order to save (i.e. include ANY) tools have been unsuccessful. So for past week I've been unable to include/use any TOOLS for working in (i.e., editing/commenting etc) pdf's. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Would greatly appreciate any / all steps & recommendations for fixing.

First, make sure you are on the latest update 11.0.09. Help->check for updates should get you there.
If check for updates says that you have the latest, see if the setting: Edit->Settings->General->Basic Tools->Scale for screen resolution and try various options (you'll have to restart Acrobat with each selection)

Is there a way to open an iWeb page in 'new' window?

I'm trying to show a client how to run iWeb so he can tweak his own site on the road. He doesn't know html. I don't want to have to write out a complicated list of instructions for him.
Is there a way IN iWeb to have an iWeb page open as a 'new' window?
He's a songwriter ... wants visitors to be able to open a song and have it play while they continue to browse his site.

When you create a text link to an file you can set it to open in another window by setting it up as an external page checking the appropriate checkbox in the Inspector/Link pane. . You would have to upload the file to the Music folder on the iDisk beforehand and then use the following URL:
http://homepage.mac.com/youraccount_name/.Music/FileName
Note the dot before Music in the URL. Don't forget it. See the link titled *"This sentence is linked to a jpg file."* in this demo page. It's linked to a photo but the principle is the same.

Having the same issue here....a quick fix is to just minimize the window, and immediately maximize it. It will now fit the screen. Trouble is, after you close it, you'll have to do it again when you re-start itunes. The good news is it takes all of about 2 seconds. Apple should fix this. Should.

Dual monitors: window size too large when opens in smaller monitor.

I use Windows 7 with two monitors. When I open Firefox directly from my desktop, it opens on the larger monitor, and the window size is just fine. But if I click a link from an email, Firefox opens in the second, smaller monitor, and the window is too large for that screen.
Please help me figure out how to either (a) make Firefox open with a smaller window; or (b) make Firefox open on the primary, larger monitor.

Also to extend header fields on the notification you need to include them in the include CI_QMEL where OPEX M&I has already fields in.
All fields should go on the notification header. There are no custom fields on the task or activity level.
All fields should be reviewed for consistency with the M&I design, specifically, Thomas Brothers, Atlas Sheet, district code. See Dale Alano.

Being able to make the changes in safe mode leads me to believe one the the plug ins from the FF site is creating the issue...It's just way to large to move it so the bottom can be seen....Thanks for your attempt and time. :)
Oh..another thing. At times the top tabs are visible, and at other times, the bottom is visible.

Iweb pages not easily viewed by windows Explorer users. FF&NN more better.

My work colleagues, who are all on windows computers defaulted to use internet explorer, can't load my iweb pages.
The music halts, the pages stutter and stagger and it takes forever to load. and then one can not scroll... The problem seems to disappear when i have people download firefox and netscape navigator and call up the site with those browsers. But some folks don't want to take the time to do that. Default Internet Explorer should work with iweb-built pages. Is there a fix?
Also, on my mac.com page, the number of hits is no longer reflected. I recently upgraded to iweb (ilife) 08, (from earlier version that came with the Macpro when i bought it in july)Before the upgrade, I could always see the pages and how many hits all in one place! i have rebuilt the pages and added other pages in the new iweb 08, but still can't see the hits. do you have a fix, does anyone have a fix?

There's been a lot of stuff written in this forum about Internet Explorer. A quick search will keep you reading for hours!
A lot of the problems disappear if the user has the latest version of IE and QuickTime Player installed.
Also they have to have Java Script enabled.
One good idea I saw on a website was an announcement that "this website is best viewed in Firefox" with the Firefox download logo beside it. Get it here...

Some possibilities:
If you have a Magic Mouse do Control+stroke downwards on the mouse.
Check System Preferences>Displays is set to the correct resolution
Check System references>Accesability and make sure Zoom isn't turned on.
