Hi @moraj ,
I understand that the rollers are up and do not engage when the paper is in the ADF. I can help you.
It sounds like a hardware issue with the printer.
I have included a document for cleaning the ADF, just to rule that out.

Welcome to the HP Forums  MillaMagia,
I see by your post that the USB isn't being recognized.
I can help you with this issue.
Are you using the same USB cable? (known good USB cable)
You want to use the normal USB slot 2.0 cable and not the latest USB 3.0.
USB 3.0 are supposed to be backwards compatible.
Try another USB port on the Laptop, some of the USB ports are more powered then others.
I have provided a document to see if the printer is partially recognized in the device manager, which is causing the printer not to be recognized again. (the uninstall from the CD should have removed the entry and the printer from the registry)
Leave the printer turned on and the USB cable connected directly to the computer and the printer's power cord directly into a wall outlet.
How do I get into Windows Device Manager?
Here is a document for Identifying problems in Windows Device Manager.
Check to see if there are any hardware driver conflicts, you might see a ! mark or a red x beside a device with a conflict or unknown device, look under universal serial bus controllers, look for USB printing support or mass storage device, delete the entry by right clicking and select uninstall, OK.
Let me know how it was listed. (screen shots welcome)
If this is a Laptop then check the power management settings.
Access the device manager. Windows 8-How do I access the Device Manager.
Select universal serial bus controllers from the list, for each USB root hub, right click and left click on properties, for power management remove the check mark for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". It allows the computer to limit or turn off power for this device.
Disconnect the USB, run the full uninstall and reinstall the printer software again.
If you need further assistance, let me know.

  • Laser Jet 100 Color MFP M175nw "Very low" message even after changing cartridge

Hello, Windows 7, 64 bit. Connection: USB. After a "supply very low" message for the black cartridge, I changed it to a completely new one (HP original toner with the hologram), but I still got a "very low" message and the print quality remained faint. Nothing worked: I tried the 3 solutions posted by Shirlzz1 to another user that had exactly the same problem (Alan_Gilmore), i.e. 1) taking out and reseating cartridges, 2) hard reset, and 3) taking cartridges out and hard reset, then reseating cartridges. I also tried a cleaning and a print quality report. All looked fine, but still "very low" message and faint print quality. The only thing that worked was changing the cartridge a second time to a completely different (new) one -- now everything's fine. So I'm guessing the first replacement cartridge I used is defective. However, is there anything else I can try with the apparently defective cartridge? They do cost a pretty penny, especially here in Denmark. Thanks for taking the time to look at this.

    Hi,
    Please check for these settings
    setup menu> system setup>supply settings
Under this you have a option
    Black Cartridge
    very low settings>stop/Prompt/Continue, select continue
    low threshold> on/off
    same for color too
    Hope this helps

  • HP Laserjet 100 Colour MFP M175nw

    Hellllllllpppp!
I have a HP Laserjet 100 Colour MFP M175nw that was working ok in my previous home. i have now moved and have a new wireless network (4 months ago) and the printer will not connect to the wireless network.
I have trawled these forums and tried every solution possible to no avail. The steps I have taken are as follows:
    1. Full uninstalled and re-installed the software over 20 times
    2. Hard-reset the Printer [Content Removed]
3, Tried to connect via USB when prompted in the installation. The installation says that the printer is detected, then the operaton times out and a message comes up stating that the printer had not been sucessfully installed. Having said thatI did manage to print a document out last night, but having now turned the computer off and on again, any docs I send just get stuck in the print queue.
    4. I have tried connecting the device to my router via WPS (push button and pin) with  no success.
    5. I cannot plug an ethernet cable into the printer/router for a wired connection due to their location.
Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.
I am on the verge of throwing it out of the window!
FYI I am running Windows 8.1 on an HP Envy Ultrabook

    Hi @Grainger85,
I can help you with setting up the printer again on the new wireless network.
Print a configuration page to see if the printer has a valid IPV4 address.
    Printing a Configuration Report.
If you have a valid IP address for the printer then try and access the Embedded Web Server for the printer.
Type the IP address into your web browser's address bar. (Internet Explorer)
If it loads the printer's network page then the printer is on the network.
Check the IP address selected on the computer to make sure it matches the printer's IP address.
Go to the start up screen, (tiles menu) type in "Devices and Printers", select settings, click on Devices and Printers.
Right click the printer, go to printer properties, select the ports tab, click configure port. Check the IP address.
If they don't match then close the configure port window and click add a port and follow the wizard.
Type in the proper IP address.
Make sure the printer is online.
    Try printing again.
If the printer's Embedded Web Server didn't load, then please do the following:
    Restore the printer's network defaults:
    Touch the Setup button. (wrench)
    Select Network Setup Menu.
    Then select Restore Defaults.
Print out a configuration report to make sure the IPV4 address is 0.0.0.0.
Follow these steps to setup the wireless:
On the printer touch the setup button, (wrench) then select network setup menu, select wireless menu, select wireless direct and turn it on.
On the computer, in the bottom right corner click on the wireless icon and select the printer from the list to connect to.
Then open Internet Explorer and type in the IP address (192.168.223.1) for the printer in the address bar.
This will load the embedded web server for the printer.
Select the networking tab, wireless on the left hand side.
Fill out all your network information, select infrastructure, select your network name, put in password and type of encryption.
    Apply settings.
Click on the wireless icon and connect back to your network name.
Print out a configuration report to make sure the IP address is valid. (192... or 10....)
You can uninstall and reinstall the printer software or just create a new port.
To create a new port, in Devices and Printers, right click on the printer, select printer properties, select the ports tab, click  add a port and follow the wizard. Type in the proper IP address.
    Test the printer.
Then I would setup a Static IP for the printer. This way the router won't reassign the printer another IPV4 all the time.
Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection. Go to Solution four: Assign your printer a static IP address.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.

  • HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw does not connect to wireless network

I recently upgraded my wireless network router. I had my HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw connected to the old wireless network router. The SSID is password protected (WPA2)
I need to connect the printer to the new wireless network router. However, neither the control panel nor blue wireless connection button provide any way for me to do this. The manual has not walked through a way to do this.
There really needs to be a simple, no-nonsense way to just connect the printer to the wireless network. How do I connect this printer to a new wireless network?

    Hi @shakayumi ,
I see that you are having issues configuring the printer on the new router. I would like to help.
    Restore the printer's network defaults.
    Touch the Setup button. (wrench)
    Select Network Setup Menu.
    Then select Restore Defaults.
Print out a configuration report to make sure the IP address is 0.0.0.0 and the SSID is cleared.
    Printing a Configuration Report.
Here are the directions for setting up the printer through the Wireless Direct to configure the printer over the network as Infrastructure.
Turn the Wireless Direct on the printer.
(192... or 10....)
Now create a new port, this will save you the time, instead of uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
Go to Start, Devices and Printers, right click the printer, go to Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.
Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
Type in the proper IP address for the printer.
Make sure the printer is online.
    Test the printer.
If you are still having issues, then try this method:
If you have a Ethernet cable, connect it from the printer to the router.
Wait about a minute, print the configuration page to see if you get a IP address.
Then type the IP address into Internet Explorer's address bar to bring up the printer's web page.
Select the networking tab, wireless on the left hand side.
Fill out all your network information, select infrastructure, select your network name, put in password and type of encryption. Apply settings.
    Then disconnect the Ethernet cable.
Then wait a minute to see if you get a wireless light on the printer, print the configuration page and check the IP address again. Then type the IP address into Internet Explorer's address bar to bring up the printer's web page.
If the printer is back on the network, create a new port. Steps are listed above.
Make sure the printer is online.
    Try and print now.

  • LASERJET PRO 100 COLOR MFP M175 - does not work

If I press the power button for turning on  , then both of LEDs "ready" and "attention" light  , and  display lights too. But the unit does not work.

    Hello OlegRu,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with lights flashing on the printer.
Are you getting any kind of an error message on the display screen?
Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.

  • HP Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw does not connect to Virgin SuperHub

Spent the last day trying to connect my laptop wirelessly to a HP Laserjet 100 color printer.
I've uninstalled and tried to re-install the software, both from the disk supplied with the printer and from the less than useful HP support website.
The installation process gets to the point after 30 minutes or so, where it decides "An install operation took too long to execute. This is preventing product use" - so I cannot install the software. Despite during the process connecting the laptop via a USB cable.
This happens on two laptops (both HP one with  Windows 7.1, the other with Windows 8.1, the result is the same in either case. This is extremely frustrating. So would appreciate a view as to how I might fix this.
The only thing that has changed is upgrade to a Virgin Superhub - but I do not see why this would cause the issue.

Welcome to the HP Forums DG-UK,
I see by your post that you are getting the error message of  "An install operation took too long to execute. This is preventing product use" on Windows 7.1 and Windows 8.1. I can help you with this issue.
I am going to provide some steps so we can get the printer configured on the wireless network and then worry about the installation after that.
On the printer's control panel, touch the setup button, network setup menu, wireless direct, turn it on.
On the Windows 7 computer to play it safe, go to the wireless icon in the bottom right corner and select the printer's network name.
Open Internet Explorer and type in the IP address (192.168.223.1) for the printer in the address bar.
This will load the Embedded Web Server for the printer.
Select the networking tab, wireless on the left hand side.
Fill out all your network information, select infrastructure, select your network name, put in password and type of encryption.
    Apply settings.
Now the printer should be configured over the wireless network.
Then go to the wireless icon in the bottom right corner again and select your network name.
Run the uninstall from the CD software to remove any registry files.
Disconnect the USB cable if it is connected.
Go to start, computer, right click on the CD and left click open, double click on uninstall.
Then disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software. How to use MSCONFIG .
Click on the start up tab and click disable all.
Then go to start, computer, right click the CD and left click open, right click install or setup and run as administrator.
Select the option for  wireless connection.
    Test the printer now.
Then you will need to go back in and enable the start up programs and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.
Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.
    Have a nice day.
    Thank You.

  • Hp Laserjet 100 color MFP  M175nw does not appear as an AirPrint Printer. How do I make it detectable?, Hp Laserjet 100 color MFP  M175nw does not appear as an AirPrint Printer. How do I make it detectable?

    Hi all,
I have bought a new printer that was compatible with the AirPrint feature. But when I select print for a photo in the iPhone's photo album, the printer won't appear.
There is no clear litterature online that explains how to make the printer detectable. I suspect it should be done automatically.
However I keep on trying and the printer won't show up.
Would anyone would know how to fix this?
    Thank you
    Sanya

I just got this same printer.
You have to upgrade the firmware in order to use Airprint.  Go to the HP support page for this printer and download the latest firmware update. Here's the direct link:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=kj-93591-3 &cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=219&product=5076465&sw_lang=
Open the .dmg file and follow the directions.  It's pretty easy.

    Hi @Ankanb ,
I understand that you are having issues since the Apple Security Update was done on the computer, after  uninstalling and reinstalling the software, you can't find the printer now.  I would be happy to help you.
I have provided some steps to try, to see if we get the printer working again over the network.
Print a Configuration page to see if the printer still has a valid IPv4 address.
    Printing a Configuration Report.
If you have a valid IPv4 address for the printer then try and access the Embedded Web Server for the printer.
Type the IP address into your web browser's address bar. (Safari)
    Did it load the webpage?
Repair the Disk Permissions on the Mac:
    Close all applications.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities.
    Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left.
Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions.
    Restart the computer..
    Reset the Printing System:
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
Click the Apple icon and then click System Preferences.
    Click Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left white side panel, then click Reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system.
Then click the + sign to add the driver, highlight the printer. (you might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name) Then click on the Add button.
If you are having network issues, then add the printer through the IP Protocol.
After clicking the + button, select the IP icon across the top, type in the printer's IP address, select jet direct below and then Apply. (you won't be able to scan but you will be able to print, this way we will know if it is a Multicasting issue, if the Mac sees the printer)
If the Multicasting is turned off on the router, you won't be able to add the printer as a bonjour device.
    Test the printer.
How is the printer connected?  (Ethernet/Wireless)
If there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know.
    Have a nice weekend!
    Thank You.

  • Ipad(4th gen) does not connect to Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw for AirPrinting

    Hi,
I have a problem with Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw and Airprinting.
Ipad(4th gen) cannot connect to printer for AirPrinting.
Wireless Direct is set on in the printer.
When I choose to connect to printers own wifi network with my Ipad, it can't connect.
(Ipad doesn't show the wifi symbol on top left corner.)
And if I try to print with Safari, it says "AirPrint-tulostimia ei löytynyt" which means in english "No Airprint-printers found".
I have all installations by the guide book several times, but seems that this Airprint simple doesn't work.
    Device Configuration show this:
    Installed Personalities and Options
    PCL6           (20040201)
    AirPrint
    PCL              (20040201)
    PDF              (20040201)
    PS                 (20040201)
I wonder why AirPrint has empty value? (what ever this  might mean)
    Br,
    Heikki

    Hi,
Thank you for your reply and first action plan to find a quick fix.
Unfortunatelly even though I disabled IPv6, it didn't fix the problem. Also reboot and WIFI restart has been tryed sevelar times without any help. Ipad Safari is still giving me a message "no airprint printer found".
Same problem also when I try to print so that both Ipad and printer are  connected to my home WLAN/DSL-router.
I don't see any problems for the printer to connect my home WLAN,  both printer and Ipad has received an IP address from the WLAN router.
My router model is Zyxel AMG1202-T10B.
Ipad is updated to it's latest SW version which is 7.0.6. and printer's firmware date is 20131028.
I have no problems printing with my Windows 7 desktop computer which is connected to same network as well.
Windows 7 PC is connected to router via Ethernet. Printer is connected to router via Wireless, not ethernet.

  • HP Laserjet Pro 100 Color MFP M175nw Print missing/faded down centre of every page

HP Laserjet Pro 100 Color MFP M175nw. Operating on Windows 7 from my laptop wirelessly. Just bought this new a few day's ago and each page of print has about 20mm wide streak missing print running down the centre. what can I do to correct this problem? I have tried printing a cleaning page a couple of times and calibrating color from the Print Quality Menu also a couple of times but this has made no difference. I'm using a Premium quality paper for use in laserjet printer's. Could someone please advise me what I can do. Thanks in anticipation.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi Watcher35,
I see that the new Laserjet Pro 100 MFP M175NW is missing print down the center of the pages, you have ran cleaning and color calibration but the issue is not resolved.
Would this be an accurate example of the issue: but with the "Bb" would be completely missing?
This HP document: Resolving Print Quality Issues may take you though some of the same steps you have already done, I suggest not skipping any steps.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here.

  • LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw - how do I install a different driver on the server to which I RDP?

The printer driver on the server is defaulting to "terminal services easy print".  I have administrator privileges on the server and have, in the past, been able to download the appropriate driver to the server so that printing in the RDP session works.  But now I only seem to be able to find installation software to download (not the actual drivers).  So, when attempting to install the software (rather than copy it) on the server the installation waits for the local (USB) connection and won't proceed.
What is the best practices way to have the locally installed (fully functional) machine be able to print from an RDP session?  I'm sure I shouldn't have to drag each new local printer to the server and install it locally with a USB cable.

    Hi,

  • HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw error

i have HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw installed on print server.
sometimes if the printer restart the hostname will back to default hostname setting and need to reconfigure again.
if anyone has ever experienced something similar? or could help for this problem?

    Hi tehdjie
I am not completely familiar with his server, this is the consumer support.
I would recommend an uninstall/reinstall of the full feature software for 2003  and a firmware update for the printer. I included the link for the software and the firmware update.

  • Help with hp LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw

Hi all, have run the suggested HP troubleshooting solutions for the below problem but still persists.
When I print from any programme I get yellow smudges along the edge of the print outs at regular intervals. Initially I thought it was yellow toner smudging at the edges somehow and cleaned all the rollers etc. No joy so now think it may be light burn marks on the paper? Out of ideas to resolve the issue. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks

    Hello,
I'm going to keep this short and simple.
We are/were hp partners once, I bought myself a HP Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw at Staples in Belgium (Staples is bankrupt meanwhile - a pity for their employees)
I ordered toners on tonershop.be, these toners are approved, HP was fined for this sort of behaviour as 100% valid replacement.   HP forces me to do a software update, next thing I'm seeing is a big warning that I'm using counterfeit products and that I need to contact HP.   This is the world upside down, HP is violating the European free market.   Not the poor guy that wants to make an extra buck, for an underpaid salary in a sweatshop somewhere.
My printer is ruined (I have +25 years profound technical knowledge, experience, whatever)
But my printer is still under warranty no?   No HP (online tells me it isn't) so back to Staples, fortunately they had a copy of my invoice, so that I can be repaired in warranty but no, I the evil HP partner that sold for multiple hundreds of thousands of euros worth of HP products, I used LEGAL replacement toners.  Sorry Mr you have to buy a new printer.
Well I don't.    I'm going to take this whole sage (with the microchips with false information, on the toner cartridges full off very expensive toner powder.   And I'm going to mail it to Neelie Kroes and I really hope that HP get's convicted for market manipulation, price agreements, putting themselves above national legislation and lot's of other misconducts.
And because of management that is only interested in greed and their 25th Villa, Tesla car, Island, it will be the HP employee that pay the price for this sort of arrogance and plain stupidity.
HP: You have my contact details, send me an email.
And then the 'too big too fall' companies annoy you with useless questionnaires about their customer service, they ask themselves why nobody is buying their products and so on.
Anyway, for this type of printer I know the story from A-Z meanwhile, I have kept all evidence, invoices and whatever and once again I was once somebody that made you company what it is today after the HP/Compaq merger.
You board of directors, top management, yes Mrs. Ex CEO from Ebay), that is why people don't buy HP anymore.   High Prices, no service.
I prefer to keep this reaction anonymous, one could imagine why.
But I have my a digital print of this post, and signed it with a digital signature.
Because everything what I mentioned above is how it is.
Stop ruining our planet and the future of my children for your own greedy behaviour.
    Mr X.
