Laser Jet 1102w and iPad

I would like to be able to print from my IPad when travelling. Articles I read say the printer and iPad must be on the same network. My printer is set with my home information. I use a mifi when travelling. How do I change the printer settings to reflect the mifi information?

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I gather while travelling, that you would like to print from your iPad to your P1102 Laserjet printer at home.
There is no way to remotely change the connection settings of your printer to match the connection settings of your iPad. However, if you have already successfully set up the ePrint feature of the printer you can download and install HP’s ePrint mobile app to send print jobs to your printer while the iPad and the printer are on different networks. I have included the HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ document for reference.

HP 1100A Laser Jet printer and Vista

Has anyone had success using a HP1100A laser jet with the Vista operating system? I had it working for a short period, but then it just stoped printing. I used an adaptor cable to match the printer to a USB port. I then installed a parallel port card to the computer. Still no luck printing. I can hook the 1100A to a computer with XP and it works fine. Vista does not recogonize the 1100A. I had a neighbor who is a computer programer look at it and he says the computer is not communicating with the printer. He tried using several different drivers from the HP website, plus tried using the disk that came with the printer, all without success.

I configured my 1100 as a 1000. If you follow the directions this should take care of it. I'm not sure if I lost any of the functionality, but I do know I'm now using my Business Inkjet 1100 as intended with Vista even though HP says this model isn't supported in Vista 64bit. I'm a much happier camper now. I'm not sure if this was the printer you were talking about or not. Good luck.

HP Laser Jet 1320n and mac os 10.7.4

When trying to add the 1320n Laser Jet printer to my computer it says "The selected printer software is available from Apple - Click to download and add this printer." When I do this a Set Up window appears then I receive the message: "The software for this printer is currently unavailable. Please contact the printer's manufacturer for the latest software." I have used this printer in the past with this computer. The IP address was recently changed - so I had to add the printer again and am now receiving this message. Thanks!

You may temporarly connect the printer to your Mac using USB, then click the Apple icon and install the latest HP Update, it should bypass this kind of error..
Alternatively you may download and install the package below:
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
Once completing the isntallation fo to System Preferences > Print & Scan. click the plus sign and the printer should be added successfully.

Problems printing with HP laser jet 5M and Snow Leopard

Hello,
Since In installed Snow Leopard on my mac I can no longer print with my HP laser jet 5M.
I know this is because Appletalk is no longer supported, and that I should use the laser jet as IP printer. However, I couldn't figure out how to assign an IP address to the printer. It seems I can't do this by the config menus of the printer. I read somwhere it is possible to do this by terminal (telnet) but I am not familiar with unix.
Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

If that did not work there is more wrong than just a hanging printjob, the step should have removed it.

Need Driver For Hp Laser Jet 5L/6L for Window Xp, 7

i have hp laser jet 5L and 6L pinrter and has xp and window 7 os. i have searched for drivers on google and found many but none of them working for me. the porblem is when is send pirnt command to printer. the status is printing for 4,5 minutes then it prompts an error that "failed to print".
Please guide me to the official drivers for hp laser jet 5L and 6L.

Laser Jet 4P

I have a laser jet 4P and trying to down load drivers to my new computer with windows 7 and cannot find a way to do it..Does anyone have any ideas?

That's correct the 4P is not listed under HP just select "Windows Update" to update the HP drivers.

There is no way that you can carry that large of a printer around to print are you trying to do remote printing? Maybe you should make that printer a Google Cloud printer that would work better for you.

Help, Upgraded to Yosemite and now my HP Laser jet 1320 printer will not work!

Two days ago I upgraded to Yosemite on my Imac. Now my HP 1320 Laser jet will not print at all!!! I need a printer for my eBay business ASAP and this is not good. The printer is a driver version 19.8 Is it compatible with the new program? I am so frustrated.

From your post I see that you're unable to print to your HP LaserJet 1320 series after upgrading to Yosemite on your Mac. I defintely understand how frustrating this is, especially since printing is vital to your business. The printer driver version 19.8 is the most current version available. To troubleshoot the issue however where you're unable to print, please follow the steps in the article below.
USB printers and Bonjour-enabled network printers
Follow these steps until the issue is addressed:
Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel.Note:If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.
UseSoftware Update to find and install the latest available updates. If an update is installed, see if the issue persists.
Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.
Deletethe affected printer, thenaddthe printer again.
If the issue persists, try these additional steps:
Resetthe printing system, then add the printer again.
If the issue still persists,resetthe printing system again. Download and installyour printer's drivers. Then, add the printer again.
Contact the printer vendor or visit their website for further assistance.

I have the 6500A without plus and it is with a LAN cable connected with my Router.
First make sure you have the latest printer firmware installed.
Next restart the printer and the Router.
I had the same. Problem but it went away after rebooting the Router.

Mac OSx 10.8.5 and HP laser jet 2100M printer w/ driver version 19.8--Doesn't print!

I've got a macbook pro with Mac OSx 10.8.5. I've successfully printed with my HP Laser jet 2100M printer until recently. The driver version is 19.8. I don't know what changed but about a month ago the printer says "printing--connected to printer" but it never prints. What do I need to do to get my printer and my macbook to communicate again and start printing? I also have a mac mini desktop running on mac osx 10.7.5 and it doesn't talk to the HP Laser jet 2100M either (also driver 19.8.Please, can you tell me how configure so these macs will be able to print to my printer?

I have had a similar issue with my HP LaserJet 1320 printer on OS X 10.8. On certain PDF files (only those that I have tested so far), the data will send fine from the computer (and the job goes away) but the printer balks and drops the print job on its end. It's only when I save it as an image in Preview and then print will it work (advice from this forum post). However, when I updated the driver from 19.8 to 19.13 (in the Apple Software Update), it seemed to fix it. Do you know what changed between 19.8 to 19.13?

For this particular error, I have found the NVRAM Initialization type of reset to be beneficial in restoring functionality. Note that completing this step will reset your printer's wireless configuration, ePrint address, and other customized printer settings. If you have created a custom @hpeprint.com address it will be permanently erased. For more information on custom ePrint addresses, click here. As HP does not typically make the steps for this type of reset available publicly, I will private message you the instructions you need. HP Laser jet 5550 offline and wont respond! Help!

It would be appropriate to supply us more details, and maybe tell us what you've tried to do so far.1 - You have removed both the electrical connections as well as those to the network and the computer? He has solved, at least in part?2 - Have you taken steps to verify when the last maintenance was performed, or at least a thorough cleaning?2 - How long does the printer, and how many prints have performed so far?3 - You have to hand its specific manual? It seems to me the ver. Q3713-90965 since 2005.EDIT: A thumb, I would say a problem of lack of adequate power supply, or the presence of false contacts due to accumulation of dust. I recommend a thorough cleaning, trying to use a HEPA vacuum, or not downwind.

We have a HP 5550 laser jet printer which is appearing offline, the 2 green lights and the amber light are all on. And the LED screen is on but with nothing appearing on there, just the back light. Any help would be greatly appreciated?
