Laser Jet CP1025nw IP Address Problem
I wanted to configure my Printer and use the E-Print Service, I went to www.Hpeprintcenter.com and tried to add a new device. It showed me a message asking me for a claim code. I didnt have that code so I clicked the 'What is a claim code'. Then, to get a 'Claim code' I have to enter the HP Printer IP address in a web browser, but My HP Printer IP Address is 'XXX.XXX.XXX.X', and the example in the web is 'XXX.XXX.X.XXX'.

Open the HP Embedded Web Server To open the HP Embedded Web Server, type the IP address or host name of the product in the address field of a supported Web browser. To find the IP address, print a configuration page. Select Print configuration page on the Services tab in the Printer Preferences.

I have an HP Laser Jet printer CP1025nw. I have had ink cartridge problems and just bought a new set of
cartridges.
The maching is flashing with the black cartridege, but there is no way that I can access, and nor are there instructions either 1)on the webpage or 2) manual that came with productHI fkosmakos,
I understand you can't access the toners.
I will be happy to help you.
If the carousel isn't moving automatically to change the toners then I would do a power reset to see if that will resolve the issue. With the printer still turned on, disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer. Then disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet.
Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable back to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and power it on again.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
Now touch the color button and open the lid to see it the carousel moves.
If you are still having issues then use the manual way to turn the carousel.
Open the top lid, or the left side on the black frame there is a hole with a white tab that you can press down with something like a pen, as you are holding that down you can push the carousel backwards to change the toners and try fix this issue. (the carousel has to be turned just right or the toners will be locked)

HP 1300 Laserjet & HP 2605dn Laser Jet printers print density problem
I have both an HP 1300 b/w and HP 2605dn color laser printer. In the last week both printers have changed the output density. The 1300 print is coming out lighter than it used to, and the 2605 is not print the color tones as it used to. What used to be orange is now only yellow.Other colors are not right either. I can compare them to output a few weeks earlier, and they are much lighter and different color tones.
Both printers have plenty of toner in all cartridges. The toner cartridge on the 1300 was changed 2 weeks ago. The toner on the 2605 is 3/4 full.
This was like something got into the printer drivers and reset some parameters on both printers at once.
Can anyone help me here to check this out and how to correct the problem?I have the same problem with my laser printer 2605dn. the color is pale, i replaced the cartridges with original hp's but it did not help. I also lost the capability of double side printing that I had when I originally loaded the printer drivers. I noticed this all after I checked the internet for software updates for my printer. Are there any solutions for these problems?

Cannot set up web services on HP Laser Jet CP1025nw
I keep getting a communications error message/check internet connection. I can print over my network just fine. I have an IP assigned to the printer that is outside the DHCP range. I have read lots of posts but nothing has fixed the issue. Please help. I have also tried using Google's DNS addresses. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

If I understand correctly, you are having issues getting web services enabled.
Do you have a static IP address assigned to the printer?
I would recommend assigning one that is in the DHCP range and then also using the Google DNS servers.
8.8.8.8 for the primary and 8.8.4.4 for the secondary or alternate.
Try that and report back to me if it helps.

HP Laser Jet 1012--wireless printing problems
Hi,
My printer is connected to the AirPort Base Station via USB and I have a PowerBook G4 and an iBook that access the network. I had been able to print just fine using this printer over the network and now I can print nothing and the network doesn't even see the printer (I have no idea what could have caused this).
How can I get this printer up and running again on my network?

Windows update attempts to update my Laser jet CP1025NW constantly fails
For almost two years, Windows Update has been trying to install updates on my printer and always fails. The printer works fine but something is telling windows update that an update is available. There seems to be no way to shut off the process.

I see by your post that the Windows Update for the Laserjet keeps failing and you aren't able to turn it off. I would be happy to help you.
I have seen on several occasions, the Windows Update replaces the HP drivers, therefore causing the printer not to print.
I would suggest to do manual Windows Updates, this way you can uncheck any HP Updates so the update doesn't interfere with the original HP drivers. (usually listed under critical updates)

Problems printing with HP laser jet 5M and Snow Leopard
Hello,
Since In installed Snow Leopard on my mac I can no longer print with my HP laser jet 5M.
I know this is because Appletalk is no longer supported, and that I should use the laser jet as IP printer. However, I couldn't figure out how to assign an IP address to the printer. It seems I can't do this by the config menus of the printer. I read somwhere it is possible to do this by terminal (telnet) but I am not familiar with unix.
Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

If you are please go to the configuration page It should be there if I remember correctly;
On the HP product control panel, press the Setup button ( ).
Press the Right Arrow ( ) to scroll to Reports , and then press OK .
Press the Right Arrow button ( ) until Config Report displays, and then press OK . A configuration report prints.

Printing problems hp laser jet 1022n
I have a HP laser jet 1022n, my printer got a paper jam. I took the paper out and the printer still says it has a paper jam. I have power cycled at least a dozen times. even tried getting driver updates. I even took the ink cartrige out and still says it is jamed. Nothing works, it still says there is a paper jam but there is no paper in the printer or jamed in it.
any help here would be greatfull.

When trying to add the 1320n Laser Jet printer to my computer it says "The selected printer software is available from Apple - Click to download and add this printer." When I do this a Set Up window appears then I receive the message: "The software for this printer is currently unavailable. Please contact the printer's manufacturer for the latest software." I have used this printer in the past with this computer. The IP address was recently changed - so I had to add the printer again and am now receiving this message. Thanks!

You may temporarly connect the printer to your Mac using USB, then click the Apple icon and install the latest HP Update, it should bypass this kind of error..
Alternatively you may download and install the package below:

Once completing the isntallation fo to System Preferences > Print & Scan. click the plus sign and the printer should be added successfully.

New Color Laser Jet CP2025 Running EXTREMELY slow on network
We just purchased a Color Laser Jet CP2025 Running EXTREMELY slow on our network!!
You can see if it is a network problem by seeing how resoponsive the EWS is- type the IP address of the printer into a web browser and see if the screen refreshes quickly as is should.
Then see if it is a file problem- try printing a simple text file from notepad.
Not sure which driver you are using, but I have the bes tluck with PCL- download the latest from the web. If you are already using PCL, you could try the postscript driver.
