How do I print my menue settings to get my printer code?  Thanks

Hello bjc7!
Take a look at this article, specifically under the 'Setting up ePrint' section:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03128518&tmp_task=useCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lang...
On the HP Web Services tab, click the green Enable button to enable Web Services.
NOTE:If you see a green Remove Services button, then Web Services is already enabled.
After enabling Web Services, click the green OK button to print an information page.
The information page contains the printer code that you will use to register your product at HP ePrintCenter in the next step.

  • How do I connect my HP Laserjet 1102w directly to a Linksys AE3500 wireless router with USB option?

    I am trying to connect an HP Laserjet 1102w directly to an HP desktop model a172n with Windows Vista Home Premium OS (32 bit) through a new Linksys AE3500 dual band wireless router which has a USB port for a direct connection. The desktop can see the wireless router but not the printer.
    Is there a work around, a printer installer update, or some other solution that enables me to connect the desktop to the printer via the USB connection on the wireless router? I need to have one wireless laptop and one non-wireless desk computer able to use the one printer.
    Thanks for any assistance!

  • LaserJet 1102W lost connection to network after firmware update and can't reconnect.

    I have used the LaserJet 1102W on my Wifii network for some time.  I use MacOSX 10.7 on one laptop and OSX 10.8 on my new Retina Macbook Pro.  I updated the firmware to get access to ePrint and lost wirless connections.  I have tried many times to reestablish network connection as instructed thru System Preferences and continue to get the response that my Wep Key is invalid.  I have many items using the Wep key including apple tv, phone, ipad and it is the correct wep key.  My network is Wep 128.  Is there some way I'm suppose to split the key between the 4 available wep key spaces?  My router is a Linksys WRT320N, Mac Book Air running 10.7.4, Mac Book Pro running 10.8.2.  I have been trying to setup the network wireless with the Mac Book Air.  I can print with both computers via USB.

    I updated a P1102w that we have here to firmware version 20120814 and haven't had any problems with it. I set a static IP and set the DNS to a preferred of 8.8.8.8 and an alternate of 8.8.4.4, and haven't had a problem with anything from a Windows system. I ran into a problem printing from Safari on a Mac running OS 10.8, but that was the only program with the problem. I even turned the printer off and back on several times to make sure the IP settings would stick, and they have. If you've done that and are still having problems, try power cycling your entire network. I'll link a document that will help to get the printer on the network steadily below. If you are still in warranty, HP may replace the printer at no cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link will take you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it out and it is processed, it will give you the printers warranty information, a case number, and the phone number to call.

  • Cannot enable ePrint Web Services - get internet connection error for HP LaserJet 1102W

    I have a HP laptop running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.  We just changed over to Comcast internet service from AT&T where my HP LaserJet 1102W was set up for ePrint.  After several hours, I was finally able to add the 1102W printer to the Comcast network, access the Embedded Web Server tool and print wirelessly but I cannot set up ePrint.  I have deleted the printer but cannot get it to connect to Web Services.  I keep on getting:  Connection Error. Check Internet Connection but again, I can print wirelessly successfully to the printer but would like to be able to set it back up for ePrint.  My Comcast router is an Arris TG862.
    I have updated the firmware and used the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool but still am not able to get the ePrint Web Services to connect.  Here is the information from the Networking page of the EWS:

    Hi Surf1981,
    I understand that you're not able to enable web services on your printer.  I would try steps listed below.
    1. Open an internet browser type printer's IP address.
    2. Should bring you to the printer's status page.
    3. Select networking tab at the top.
    4. Left hand side select Network Identification.
    5. Under DNS address Configuration select Manual DNS Server.
    6. For Preferred enter 8.8.8.8
    7. For Alternate enter 8.8.4.4
    8. Select apply. You might get a warning saying this could interrupt connection that's fine.
    9. Turn printer off for about 30 seconds then try again.

  • HP LaserJet 1102w printer settings on WRT54G2-V1 lost after power is turned off

    I have installed the HP drivers for  my HP LaserJet 1102w printer on my Windows 7 (64 bit)  Professeional and Windows XP laptops.They both print fine over the network using the WRT54G2-V1 router immediately after installing the drivers. However after shutting down either the computers or printer the settings are lost and the printer willl not work unless the drivers are reloaded.
    In talking with HP support they are telling me this printer is not compatible with the router, which I find hard to believe given most backward compatibility built into printers today and the fact it initially works before it is shut off. Can anyone offer some suggestions on how to configure my router to support the printer or verify if the information I received from HP support is valid.
    Thanks!

    The trick is to set the printer's IP Address manually so has a static IP address. See the user manual for the printer (I think this may be the user manual for the OP's printer). If so see page 28 for how to set the IP Address to manual on the printer.
    IP address
    The product IP address can be set manually, or it can be configured automatically using DHCP, BootP,
    or AutoIP.
    To change the IP address manually, use the HP Embedded Web Server.
    1. Open the HP Embedded Web Server, and then click the Networking tab.
    2. In the navigation pane, click the IPv4 Configuration link or the IPv6 Configuration link.
    3. In the IP Address Configuration section, click the Manual IP option.
    4. Type the required data in the Manual IP Address box, the IP Subnet Mask box, and the Manual
    Deault Gateway box.
    5. Click the Apply button.
    You will need to set the IP address for the printer outside of the range the router's DHCP server has reserved and hands out to clients. For example if the router is configured to use it's default IP address of 192.168.1.100 with 50 client addresses reserved, try setting the printer to 192.168.1.200 and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0. If the printer drivers were previously installed and configured they will either need to be removed and reninstalled so they use the new printer IP address, or reconfigured so they point to the new IP address of the printer.

  • Problems with brand new LaserJet 1102w

    I've had my LaserJet 1102w for two days now, and I'm, so far, regretting the purchase and considering sending it back.  Here's why:
    1.  It shuts itself off after about 10 minutes and will not print after that until someone manually pushed the power button.
    2.  When first turned on, it will only print the first few inches of any given page (built-in Config test page included), then it blinks it's orange light.  If you turn it off and on, try again, then turn it off and on a SECOND time, it will print normally.
    3.  It consisitantly fails to print "larger" files (I quote it because it's not that large..  i.e. a 32MB PDF) -- they gets stuck and require a complete reboot of the printer.
    The only issue I don't see to have is it dropping Wireless...  which is good because we don't have ANY wired devices in our house (which is why I purchased this printer...  most of the devices are iOS, though I'm working on  Win7 laptop at the moment).
    I would love some advice or help getting this printer to work.
    Thanks!
    *EDIT:  I've made sure it's updated to the lasted firmware and that I'm using the most up-to-date driver - both obtained from the HP site.

    This sounds like a problem with sleep mode on the printer.  There are a few things you can do to try correct this problem.  First, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet.  If you plug it into a surge protector, power strip, or power backup, it can prevent the printer from getting enough power.  If that's okay, then move on to trying the steps in the document linked below.  If nothing works, then contact HP to see about a replacement printer, or return the printer to where you purchased it, either way, you will need to replace the printer.
    The Printer Will Not Turn On or Respond

  • Paper tray error message HP LaserJet 1102w

    Recently my LaserJet 1102w stopped printing duplex; instead, after printing the first side it gives an error message :  Paper tray needs to be filled.
    The paper tray is full, but I cannot get it to continue printing the other side, no matter what.  This has become a huge problem, even when printing single-sided jobs.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    Once you place the printed pages back in the input tray, try opening and closing the top cartridge access door to rsume the print job and check if that prints the other side.
    Hope that helps,

  • How to turn on Wifi direct on HP LaserJet 1102w without using a network

    I have a problem with wifi direct, I cannot enable that without using a network because only I can enable this feature with connecting the printer to a preconfigured network and then accessing printer's setting by its IP on the preconfigured network, When I turn on wifi direct on printer I can connect directly to it but if I turn off the preconfiqured network and try to connect to wifi direct I get a problem and I'm not be able to use wifi direct, also the green light on the printer starts to blinking. I want a method to enable wifi direct on my printer that could work without another network. please help.

  • Solve paper size for HP Laserjet 1102w

    My printer's configuration Information page shows A4 as default paper size. But when a print job is conducted it turns to be printed on Letter size eventhough I have chosen printing size A4 in printing preference.
    How can I solve this issue? Your suggestion is highly appreciated!

    If you go into printer properties - click on the devices settings tab, you should be able to change the default paper size setting under the "Form to tray assignment" heading. You can change either the Printer auto select or the tray selection.  Click on the word - letter - you will get a drop down menu and should be able to change it to the paper size you want.
    As you stated, you can also change it in your printer preferences.
    Please remember that you need to check your application as well when you are printing. If you have your paper size selected to something different in your application and something different in your print driver, your results will be mixed.

  • Do you know how to get an hp Laserjet 1102w to work wirelessly on my macbook

    I've gone through both the install on Mac directions from HP (useless!) and then a couple of YouTube videos, and cannot get it to work without a USB cable.

  • Laserjet p1102w fails to install

    At first this printer(HP Laserjet 1102W)  was great, installed and everything was fine. Then we moved and Centurylink changed my router.  First my IPAD wouldn't hook up but we fixed that by changing the router "channel' to 11.  Well now, I can't even get the printer to install on my computer (I know the router doesn't have anything to do with the computer intallation failure).
    So, anyway, running Windows 7, 64 bit, have started and restarted, booted and rebooted computer and printer, reset network endpoints on printer, uninstalled the previous versions of the printer.  used the CD, not used the CD, gone to the website and got the software directly off the web- nope- still won't install.  Goes through the whole process and then I get a pop up that says Printer intallation failed.  No printer was installed.
    Usually I just have issues with getting it connected wireless but TODAY I can't even get it installed!  This has never been an issue before.  I have also even turned my Firewall off in case it was blocking something (like it was before during the wireless installation) but Nope, not the answer!
    I really need to get some stuff printed.  Even if I have to use the midevil USB cord!
    Any help is appreciated!

    I see you are having an installation issue with your Laserjet P1102w.  I am guessing that this printer was installed previously on this computer, but now you need to reinstall to connect the printer back to your new network.  Is this correct?
    If so, have you gone through the process of uninstalling the previously installed software already?  If so, then I would advise checking the Print Server Properties of the PC to ensure the driver has been removed for the printer.  This can hang up many printer installations.
    Click on the Start menu of the Windows 7 PC
    Select the Devices and Printers folder
    Click on any of the available printers in the list
    Click on the option for Print Server Properties at the top of the window
    Select the Drivers tab
    Delete any drivers remaining for the P1102w in the list
    Once the printer has been completely removed and software uninstalled, then I would download the latest drivers from the HP website and re-install.  Click the link below to access the downloads page for Windows 7 and the P1102w.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=bi-80329-8&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
    Let me know how it goes,

  • Hp Laserjet P1102w Doesn't show up in Print and Fax list OS 10.5.8

    Got an HP Laserjet 1102w and tried to install under Mac OS 10.5.8.  I downloaded and sucessfully ran the HP drivers but when I go to add the printer under system preferences/printers and fax the list of available printers is blank.  I've tried several routines suggested by a web search of the problem to no effect.
    Anybody out there solved this?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Thanks for your attention.  I figured out the solution.  See below.
    The printer was connected by USB and I was also trying to get the wireless connection set.  I had intermittent progress on both fronts but could not get a successful installation either as a USB connection or wireless connection.  The printer would "disappear" off the list of available printers (using the "+" to add printer, OS 10.6.8) or not respond to setup commands.  And I could not get the printer's wireless connection to my network to "take".
    Printing the  configuration page was of no use.  If the printer is unable to connect to the wireless network it reports the printer IP address as 0.0.0.0.
    TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM
             (clicking + under "Print & Fax" the printer does not appear or the printer name disappears)
    1) replace the USB cable - the original was susceptible to cutting out;
    2) give up on wireless - to - wireless set up methods - no amount of factory resetting would clear the mystery connection block;
    3) set up the wireless connection by way of a (good) USB cable;
    3) switch the browser used to view the printer's setup page from Firefox (34.0.5 for Mac OS 10.6.8) to Safari
    4) use WPA security mode (not WEP as suggested by HP's help files).
    The primary troublemaker was the bad USB cable.  Going thru a wireless set up presumes that the printer can connect to the network. As already noted, the wireless connection was not working.  The blue network light would not come up steady.  Some transmission option was blocking sucessfull handshaking between the printer and my wireless router.  I tried the recommended factory reset methods without success.
    I needed a good USB connection to get to the printer's setup options.
    Don't know what was up with Firefox - a bad plugin or something?  It just would not connect to the printer via IP addressing.  Safari worked fine.  (Now the printer is successfully setup Firefox has decided to work too.)
    SO THE SOLUTION IS:
          1) connect the printer and Mac via a (good) USB cable;
          1) use Safari to get in to the printer's setup functions (via system preferences/print & fax/options & supplies/show printer web page);
          2) follow the recommended setup options (HP support for Laserjet P1102w, OS 10.6, using a USB cable to set up a wireless connection);
          3) select the proper wireless network from the list;
          4) reset the security mode to WPA; and
          5) give the printer the correct wireless network password.
    Thank-you, and the forum, for your help.

  • Lasejet 1102w plus airprinter issues plus home networking config

    I have printer HP Laserjet 1102w in my wireless network as follows:
    192.168.1.1 ADSL Modem in my bedroom --> 192.168.1.2 TPLINK TL-WR941ND in my bedroom --> 192.168.1.3 TPLINK TL-WR1043ND (AS A REPEATER) in my office in another floor of my house. The printer is in my office.
    The printer works just fine using my notebook. I can print everywhere.
    But when trying to print from an Ipad or Iphone, I cannot print from my bedroom. No printer is shown in airprinter (ipad/iphone).
    When both ipad or iphone gets repeater signal (far away from 192.168.1.2 TPLink Router) the printer shows in airprinter
    So I cannot print from my bedroom when using ipad/iphone.
    What am I doing wrong?
    I would like to print everywhere using my ipad/iphone. Is there any config to make in 192.168.1.2 router?
    The printer has static IP 192.168.1.11
    Thanks in advance.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    This is because the printer and the iOS devices have to be on the same network, if one is on the primary and one is on the repeater it will likely not work. As I mentioned above that AirPrint often does not work on repeaters or on hotspots due to how they interact on the network.

  • Printer connected to Airport Express only works on OSX Partition, not Windows 7 Partition

    I have a mid 2012 Macbook Pro, 13 inch with 2.9ghz processor and 8GB RAM that has a Boot Camp partition on it running Windows 7 Professional. I have had an Airport Express base station that I purchased in 2013, and have a printer connected to it, a HP Laserjet 1102w which is plugged into the Airport. When I am on the OSX partition, the wireless printing works perfectly, however, on the Windows partition, it will not 'find' the printer under a list of available printers. This is annoying as I primarily use Windows and have to restart my computer every time I need to print something. Is there any way to fix this?

    You might want to take a look at Printopia to see if it will do what you want. There is a free trial, so you will know for sure before you buy.
    The upside with Printopia is that printing from the iPhone will work just as if you had an AirPrint printer.
    The downside with Printopia is that you must have a Mac running on the network to be able to print.
    Printopia - AirPrint to Any Printer - Print from iPad - Print from iPhone ...
    I have no interest in Printopia other than that as a customer.
