Laserjet 200 color MFP M276n

Good morning,
i have a problem with this MFP that doesn't connect to web and so i cn't use eprint function.
I activate the web sercices and i obtained the eprint email address (i can read this by a browser pointing the ip of the mfp), but i can't print the "info page" of the eprint section, so i can't add the printer on the hp eprint center.
I'm sure that the ip assigned to the MFT can go in internet (i tried to set the same ip on a pc and it works; it can browse the web); i tried to power off-on; tried to disable/enable the web services, but it doesnt' work.
I cant print the "info page" in any way.
How can i try now?

I would start by resetting the router and then if still having the issue I would set a static DNS on the Embedded web server (EWS) of the printer.
To reset the router:
1. Unplug the router (most do not have a on/off switch or button).
2. turn the printer off using the power button
3. Wait 30 seconds
4. Plug router back in, wait for it to be back up and fully functional.
5. Power back on the printer, wait for it to finish is start up process. Then reattempt to access and print information page.
If still not getting the page from the printer set a static DNS from the EWS
1. Pull up the EWS up and locate the tab titled "Networking".
2. Then on the left column locate the IPv4 and click on that.
3. Pay attention to the lower portion of the screen titled "DNS Address Configuration".
4. Fill out the Preferred DNS to read 8.8.8.8
5. Fill out the Alternative DNS to read 8.8.4.4
6 Click Apply. Be careful of any messages that appear afterwards with an "Ok" button, read it carefully it might be an offer to undo the change you
just made
7. Power printer off then back on and then after start up complete reattempt to retrive info page for the eprint set up

I have purchased this printer for a customer. Customer has 12 PCs running Windows 8.1. I have installed the printer (hardware) on the network with no problems.
Started to install software using CD and it stops with an error.

I thought that it might be that the CD did not have software /drivers suitable for WIN 8.1 so downloaded latest from HP site - similar error!
Downloaded basic print driver and installed this with no problem but of course scanning does not work at all.
I believe the problem lies in the software that controls the installation.
Can anyone suggest how to get the scanning side of this printer working?

LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276n

Dear all
I have the new LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276n
and after it did go to sleep moode, i just touch the screen and it will be awake, but the main buttons (Back, Cancle, Home) doesn't work, and I have to restart the printer everytime...

I see that you are having issues with the printer waking up. I would be happy to help you.
Update the printer's firmware. Software and Drivers. Select Option 2 and wait for the page to load and then select the link for firmware.
I would power cycle the router and setup a Static IP address to see if that will resolve the issue. Go to Solution three: Assign the printer a static IP address. Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection. Disregard the title.

Dear Members,
When i'm trying to install the drivers for the printer HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276n, on Windows Xp the issue is specific on windows xp only i tried on two machines its the same and its fine when i try to intall on windows 7.
Error Message:
A problem occured while preparing to install software to your system please restart your computer, and run this installer agian.

Hi mbsiddiqui,
When a printer is connected by USB, the computer recognizes it and it will show up in the device manager, if it didn't fully install it will still be listed in the device manager and will not find it again when the printer is reconnected. We have to remove the old entry first.
Leave the printer connected by the USB cable.
Check the device manager to see if the printer is listed.
Go to start, right click my computer, left click properties, click on the hardware tab, then device manager.
Look for the printer entry, it might be listed as other devices, unknown device, delete the entry by right clicking it and select uninstall, it might show up under universal serial bus controllers as USB printing support, if USB composite device is listed then also delete it, delete the entry by right clicking it and select uninstall.
Since the software is already installed for the Ethernet connection, from device manager, click on Action and select scan for new hardware.
If it doesn't find the printer then it might have a ghost key in the registry causing the printer not to be detected again.
Let me know the results.

Hi, my new M276n printer has memory problems. Print jobs above two pages are being stopped with a "not enough memory" notification. I searched this forum and found a "temporary" fix (reset printer to default settings) and a mysteriously missing Step 3 (removed from the message). This does not help in the long run because after just 4 more prints I have the same problem again. I don't print a whole lot, mainly Amazon returns labels and information. Reset or not, the information page shows 127MB out of 256MB available memory. What is the other half used for? Questions: 1. Is there a fix?2. This model provides some limited adjustment capability as mentioned in the User Guide:
Excerpted:
Set the fax-error-correction mode
Usually, the product monitors the signals on the telephone line while it is sending or receiving a fax. If
the product detects an error during the transmission and the error-correction setting is On, the product
can request that the portion of the fax be resent. The factory-set default for error correction is On.
You should turn off error correction only if you are having trouble sending or receiving a fax, and you
are willing to accept the errors in the transmission. Turning off the setting might be useful when you are trying to send a fax overseas or receive one from overseas, or if you are using a satellite telephone
connection.
1. From the Home screen, touch the Setup button.
2. Touch the Service menu.
3. Touch the Fax Service menu.
4. Touch the Error Correction button, and then touch the On button.
Change the fax speed
The fax-speed setting is the modem protocol that the product uses to send faxes. It is the worldwide
standard for full-duplex modems that send and receive data across telephone lines at up to 33,600 bits
per second (bps).
The factory-set default for the fax-speed setting is Fast (V.34).
You should change the setting only if you are having trouble sending a fax to or receiving a fax from a
particular device.
Decreasing the fax speed might be useful when you are trying to send a fax overseas, or receive one from overseas, or if you are using a satellite telephone connection.
1. From the Home screen, touch the Setup button.
2. Touch the Fax Setup menu.
3. Touch the Advanced Setup menu.
4. Scroll to and touch the Fax Speed button, and then touch the speed setting that you want to use.

LaserJet 200 color MFP printer - one laptop can print while the other laptop at home can't.

My boyfriend and I set up the LaserJet 200 color MFP printer at home and installed the software on both our laptops. I have a Dell Inspiron 700m and he's got the Lenovo T400. I have been able to print any time from my laptop, but my boyfriend has only been able to print one document and after that there is a printer error and is not able to print nor troubleshoot. I uninstalled and re-installed the software one more time, and again, he was only able to print one document and after that, printer error again (does not specify error). Meanwhile, I continue to be able to print without a problem. Anything I may be overlooking? Any help will be appreciated.

What OS are you using?
Which of the LaserJet 200 series printers do you have? There are several in that series and I want to make sure I'm helping with the right one.

HP LaserJet 200 color MFP M276nw - cannot connect

Hello,
Installed a HP LaserJet 200 color MFP M276nw on a Windows 7 system with no issues. Then added the "device" / printer on two Windows tablets, with no issues. I was able to print from all three devices. The tablets cannot 'find' the printer.
I then added the printer to another Windows 7 system and now cannot connect from the other systems. I am still able to print from the second Windows 7 system. (I removed the printer from the second Windows 7 system and readded it without issue, and ensured Share the Printer was selected).
Please advise. Should I just return the printer?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you would like to turn off the Fax error reports on your HP Laserjet 200 Color MFP M276nw.
From the front panel of your LJ, please follow the path below:
Setup Menu > Fax Setup > Advance Setup > Allow Fax Reports > NO or Off
You should not receive anymore fax error reports.

All in one HP Laser Jet Pro 200 Color MFP (M276n) stopped working

I have an HP Laser Jet Pro 200 Color MFP (M276n) that I had installed and woking fine.
I changed my desk and removed the USB from the computer and when I plugged it in again i could not print or use any of the functions through the computer. I'm running 64bit Win 7.
I've tried unistalling the printer and downloading the laster driver package from HP.com.
But when I try installing it and come to where the installationprogram want me to connect the USB-cabel the printer doesn't show up (I can't click "Next" to begin installtion).
So right know I cant print and I can't reinstall the printer.
How do I fix this??

Make sure the usb cable is plugged in properly, the right port at the back of the printer. If still doean't work, maybe get a new usb cable?

Restoring the defaults doesnt usually purge out the memory of a printer. You need a cold reset to complete that proceedure. I can help you with this issue today.
Check these settings for the fax:
Go to the wrench icon/fax setup menu/advanced setup/private receive/turn it off.
Go to the wrench icon/service /fax service/error correction/turn it off.
Go to the wrench icon/fax setup /advanced setup/fax speed/change it to medium.
Go to wrench icon/service menu/fax service/clear saved faxes.
If you are still having issues, then follow this document for checking the connections and settings for the fax.
Cannot Send or Receive Faxes.

Are you able to send or receive faxes?
What type of connection do you have? (Analogue, DSL, Cable Modem)
Are you using the 2 wire fax cable?
Do you have distinctive ring set up on the line?
Is there any voice mail set up?
Do you have a answering machine? (Where is it connected to?)
Where is the fax cable connected to? (modem, wall jack)
Is there a phone also connected the printer?

Network Configuration for HP LaserJet 200 color MFP M276nw

Can the HP LaserJet 200 M276nw can be configured to scan to a network folder without initial set-up from a PC? Without the need of initially connecting the device to a computer first.
We are running a virtual environtment and the printer will need to scan to a configured network folder and this should be done via the device. Of course folder permisisons will be completed prior. I believe I saw a manual where the Embeded web server had this configuration, but would to make sure prior to committing to the purchase. Thanks in advance.

Domain name is blank on laserjet 200 color MFP m276

I received this item today but I'm unable to add it to my home network.I've had no trouble previously with an HP 2610, 1102W, and 7520.
On this network, a verizon DSL modem feeds a Linux firewall,which provides routing/DNS/etc. to the computers on the net via several switches and a wireless access point. Everything has a name in the form of "nicename.mynetworkname.net" and a static IPv4 address, and the firewall enforces the rules.
I've tried to tell the control panel on the new laserjet everything I can manage to feed it.
The new laserjet is connected to one of the switches by an ethernet cable. The cable connectors on the printer and the main switch show orange lights, indicating no valid ethernet connection. A printout of the Network Summary shows
Status (wired) =Ready
IPv4Address =192.168.nnn.mmm (the value I gave it manually) and an appropriate subnet mask and default gateway value.
Network Identification shows
Host Name =NPIDD2A25 (the value assigned by HP)
but the Domain Name is blank. I could not find a way to change it to mynetworkname.net.
So the printer apparently thinks it's not on the net. And computers on the net can discover the printer but can't use it.
This setup has worked fine for previous printersthat worked by ethernet. I don't see what I'm doing wrong here.

Check these settings for the fax:
Go to the wrench icon/fax setup menu/advanced setup/private receive/turn it off.
Go to the wrench icon/service /fax service/error correction/turn it off.
Go to the wrench icon/fax setup /advanced setup/fax speed/change it to medium.
Go to wrench icon/service menu/fax service/clear saved faxes.
