LaserJet CM1312 MSP series spooler issues on Windows XP/BootCamp on MBP

In a mixed environment:
Mac G5 connected by ethernet to router,
MacBook Pro wireless connection to router and
Windows XP PC tower connected by ethernet to router,
the CM1312 connected by ethernet to router prints fine except for:
the MMPro (while in BootCamp) and the PC running Windows XP where there are spooling errors and printing fails.
I need to better understand the issue and find a solution asap.

Did you install the right device driver for your hardware???

i am unable to UNINSTALL the "hp Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP Series" from Windows7 64bit OS installed on HP Notebook 8730w Mobile Workstation.
If i click the uninstall button using the original printer driver CD, nothing happens; no error messages either.

This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

    Hi,
If updating the printer driver cannot fix the issue, please also try the following steps:
Clear Printer Spooler Files and Enable the Spooler Service
    =================================
    1. Run "Services.msc" (without the quotation marks).
    2. Double-click "Printer Spooler" in the Services list.
    3. Click Stop and click OK.
    4. Navigate to "%WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers", delete all files in this folder.
    5. Run "Services.msc" (without the quotation marks).
    6. Double-click "Printer Spooler" in the Services list.
    7. Click on Start. In the Startup Type list, make sure that "Automatic" is selected and click OK.

  • Display and driver issues with Windows 7 on i5 MBP

    Hello-
I just purchased one of the i5 Macbook Pros, and set out to get Windows 7 working through boot camp. I did this on an older model (32-bit) previously with no problems.
This time around, installation of Windows worked fine, but I have had some trouble getting all the drivers working. The setup.exe program on the OS X DVD didn't want to run at all, I had to do a workaround from the command line that I found on a forum (otherwise I just got a response of "Bootcamp x64 is unsupported on this computer model").
Eventually I got (at least some of) the drivers to work, but there are still some issues.
After installing the drivers, things like brightness and two-finger clicking started working. A number of other things still aren't, though:
    - Display: My machine has a 1440x900 screen. But for some reason Windows refuses to go higher than 1280x800.
    - Network: No wireless at all. Windows doesn't detect any wireless capability, and only gets on-line via ethernet.
There may be other issues, but these are the big ones. Can anyone provide suggestions on what to do to get everything working?
    Thanks!

I just used winclone to move my Win 7 from my Core2Duo MPB to an i5 MBP and had to do a few updates and have eneded up in pretty much the same place as you. I won't bother installing from scratch. I'm guessing we just need to wait for some bootcamp updates for these new machines.
For those of you who are looking to migrate your bootcamp partition over, winclone made it easy - I followed the directions for resizing and Win7 boots, does a disk check, then installed many of the new drivers automatically. There are some drivers that are still needed however, wifi and video. I also so a USB driver issue but have to look at that a little closer before I comment.
    Best of luck,
    Simon

  • Unique issue:installing windows via bootcamp

    Hi
I tried googling for my issue and it looks like I am the only one facing this problem hence I suspect that I am missing or doing something wrong. Before I describe a background:
I am running late 2006 macbook pro with core 2 duo. It is running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.8.
What am I trying to achieve:
I have the release preview downloaded (way before the final version was released and I have not succeeded in installing even after it is officially released). I want to try this first given it will work till January 2013 and if all goes well I would like to install a licensed version. I am so fed up with my macbook pro and starting to hate Apple as each day passes.
According to all the tutorials online, the step to do this is run bootcamp>it will attempt to download windows support software (it attempts to download but fails consequently as mentioned in many tutorials, but not an issue if we already have the windows support software in a disc which I have too)>then click the next option to continue installing>I select how much space I need to assign for each operating system>then select the bootcamp driver partition to start installation>after inserting the windows disc and completing the installation and reboot> install the windows support software and drivers.
    What happens in my case:
Start bootcamp>gives two option 1. to download windows support software or 2. if I already have the windows support files I can continue with installation> I continue with the installation>gives me a screen where I select how much space I allocate for both the operating systems>it partitions the drive>asks me to insert windows installation disc and continue> I insert the disc and continue, the machine reboots from windows installation disc>asks me to select the language>I see the installation screen>first step is it shows 'gathering device information' and this is the place where I am stuck.......
It comes up with popup window and says the disc containing device drivers are missing, please insert the disc (am i not support to run the windows support software after completing the windows installation? as mentioned in all the tutorials.) I am not sure what disc it is looking for. At this moment, I cant eject the disc with windows installation and insert the disc with windows support software as the eject button never responds, therefore I had the windows support drivers also in a usb pen drive which I browse and select - still it says 'no updated drivers found' and never gives me the option to continue with the installation. So i am fed up with this. What driver is it looking for at this moment and why did it not ask me to select the partition where I have to install the windows as mentioned in many tutorials online.
my snow leopard has bootcamp 3.0.4 version and software is upto date and cant update to new software (yes maybe after I install windows and via windows I might be able to update but not now)
Please help, I atleast want my macbook pro to run windows as it is already getting outdated and new photoshop CS and others dont support due to graphic hardware incompatibility and many others slowly cropping as it is aging.
If there is already a similar case in this forum please point me but I can find it anywhere in the web.
    thanks
    Sany

Are you saying that you did not complete the Windows 8 Installation?  If so, you have more problems than just the drivers.  Installing the drivers is supposed to occur after the Windows installation.
Please note that no Boot Camp drivers exist for Windows 8.  Apple will release these drivers whenever Apple decides to.  As users, none of the people on these discussion boards know for sure when this will be.  Some of the users have suggested using the most up-to-date Boot Camp drivers, written for Windows 7, on Windows 8, but installing these in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode.  Regardless, there are users on these discussion boards reporting major hardware malfunction, including frequent reboots (horrible for the system board, the video card (if any), and the hard disk drive) and full drive corruption (which affects your Mac OS and the Windows OS), among others.  To have a reasonable timetable, it took Apple 89 days following the initial release of Windows 7 to release updated Boot Camp drivers that would handle Windows 7.  Using this fact with our present situation, you are looking at January 22nd or 23rd before you might expect Apple to release drivers that will work with Windows 8.  Trying to do this early on, you may end up making your system completely unusable.  Judging by your previous posts, you are loathe to do so.
I would suggest waiting.  Windows 8 is so touch/gesture-centric that the touchpad on your 2006 MBP will feel quite limiting.  If you had a unibody MBP, Windows 8 might still be attractive, as the surface area on the touchpad is far greater.  All-in-all, in your situation, saving up for a newer ultrabook with touchscreen is probably the best option to getting the most out of Windows 8.  You've already stated that your computer is now virtually useless for the applications you most frequently run and you are trying one last gasp effort at restoring some of that usability by installing Windows 8.  Consider that 6-7 years for a computer is practically an eternity for up-to-date software on the order of Photoshop.  The only thing I can think of that might restore some of your capacity to use the hardware of your MBP longer is going the Linux route and using Gimp instead of Photoshop.  Windows is seldom the route to take if your hardware has aged as much as yours has.

  • Issues with Windows 8 (bootcamp) and microphone

I'm slightly confused as to where to ask this (apple forums or microsoft forums) I recently dual booted OS X 10.9.2 & Windows 8. I installed all the necessary drivers which apple gave me in their drivers for windows, however, my headset doesn't work... the headphone part works fine. I can hear all windows sounds and it still works on the mac. However, i want windows so that i can play a wider variety of games with my friends, and need a microphone so i can chat to them... • LaserJet M1319f MFP Installation issue on Windows 7

Dear HP support team and community members,
I'm currently trying to install HP LaserJet M1319f MFP connected by USB on Lenovo Q190 machine /Intel Core i3 processor/ running freshly installed Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit with Bulgarian language pack, all current updates, Microsoft Forefront Protection /I also tried to disable the Real-time protection/, UAC disabled, administrator account, IE 11, .NET Framework 4.5.1.
The priter was working correctly with Windows XP.
I downloaded the driver package from here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=bg&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3547...
After the installation process reach the "Copying files to the hard drive" stage the installer return error Printer Software Installer stopped working.
I tried running with Administrator privileges and/or Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode, but the same error occurs.
I tried Microsoft Fix It software for install/uninstall drivers too,but with no luck either.
I cleaned the cashe and temporary files around 10-15 times.
Windows update is not helping with the drivers too.
I tried to extract the files from the installer and manually add the printer and got error that the installation was not successful and below it says The file was not found /if I recall it correctly/
After that I tried HP Print and Scan Doctor software, but it displays that there is no driver installed and redirecting me to the driver download page.
I tried the Driver Wizard software too, but it returns that this model is no supported.
I tried to change the windows startup to "Selective startup" with "Load startup items" unchecked and all non-microsoft services disabled, but with no success.
Under Safe mode the install won't complete because of the Print Spooler service not running, which is running normally otherwise.
The "ntprint.inf" file is present in the "Windows\inf" folder, the registry HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Enviroments\Windows NT x86 has only Drivers and Print Processors subkeys and the registry HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors has only Local Port, Microsoft Shared Fax monitor, Standard TCP/IP Port, USB monitor and WSD port subkeys.
The folders Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and Windows\System32\spool\drivers\W32X86 are empty.
I ran sfc /scannow in cmd with administrator privileges, but there was no integrity violations.
I tried to disable the IE component, but no luck either.
So now I’m out of any ideas how to connect that **bleep** thing… I hope that someone can help me with this issue.
Currently the devices without installed driver in the Device Manager are "Hewlett-PackardHP LaserJet M1319f MFP" /Hardware IDs USBPRINT\Hewlett-PackardHP_La28A1 and Hewlett-PackardHP_La28A1/ and HP Scan /Hardware IDs USB\VID_03F0&PID_5817&REV_0100&MI_00 and USB\VID_03F0&PID_5817&MI_00/
I forgot to mention that I tried all kind of variations with these solutions with and without printer plugged in.
Thank you very much in advance for any kind of guidelines.
    Best regards,

    Hello Gemini02,
First thank you for your assistance!
I uninstalled the IE 11 and install IE 10, but with no success related to the driver issues. I just want to mention to those who are trying to do the same that IE 11 should be removed from Add/Remove Windows components and from Installed Updates.
As for the solutions from your post:
Solution 2: The build in troubleshooting is reporting that no driver is installed (obviously...), but is not helping much with the installation. Windows updates are not much of a help too... The device manager is finding the device, but can't install the driver. More detailed information about the devices in the Device manager you can find in the end of my first post.
I'm posting some screenshots of the issue so that you can get clearer picture of the situation.
So basically I'm downloading the official drivers from the link in my first post. I'm sure that the drivers are the correct one as I downloaded them several time to clear the possibility of technical mistake.
But when I try to install them I get the following error:

Solution 3 can't be applied to the current case as I can't install the software so I don't have what to uninstall/reinstall.
I cleared the cache and disabled all optionally installed software in msconfig as suggested, but the issue with the installer is still not resolved.
Solution 4 is not relevant as the device was working fine two days ago.
Solution 5 is difficult for implementation too as the location of the device is in some kind of rural area and it is vital for the implementation of the daily duties of the employee.
So after the failure with the solutions provided in the article I tried to extract the installer to use the drivers and manually install the printer using the file HP1319fp.ini  with the "... MFP" driver selected. I set it at new local port named USB. I'm posting the screenshot of the error i get in the end of installation:
After I press the OK button in gets in a loop by returning to the previous page.
I tried the same drivers with existing port USB001, but got the same result as with the new port.
Currently I will try to rename the SoftwareDistribution folder in case that this is kind of windows update cache issue, but don't think so... I begin to think that this device driver is somehow not compatible with the computer hardware...
Thank you and I apologize for taking your time with such issues!
    Best regards,
    Ivan

    Hi.
You may download the Universal Print Driver PCL5 below, it is compatible with both Windows 7 or 8 64-bit.
For USB select Plug n Play, for network select Tradiotional Mode and follow the steps by setting a TCP/IP Port with the IP Address of the printer:

  • Is there a univeral printer driver for HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP on Windows 7 64 bit?

I had bought a HP Color LaserJet CM1312 Multifunction Printer last year - up to now I could print out via the computer of my doughter (Windows XP), but now this computer is bugged and I would like to be able to use also my own Windows 7 64 bit Computer. Unfortunately the "Full solution" does not work at all, while there also appears to be no Universal Printer Driver for my special printer. In other words: I can´t use the printer and I am upset (HP at its best?).
Is there any way to get a printer driver that does what it is supposed to do?

I see that your HP LaserJet CM1415fnw will not scan from your Windows 8 computer, and I am happy to help you with this scanning issue!
For further assistance, I will need to know:
If the printer is connected, Wireless, Ethernet, or USB.
If the printer is able to make copies by itself.
If the power cable is plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.

The printed colors are offset.  The black color is always sharp; but the yellow, cyan and magenta are not alligned which result in a blurred picture or text the moment colors are needed.
I tried to change the carthridge twice (not mentionning the $$$), thinking that might have been the origin of the problem.

CP1210 Series Cartridge Alaignment in Windows8.1

    Product Name: CP1215
    Operating System: Windows 8.1
Is there a workaround for the sorry excuse for a Windows 8 driver for the CP1215 color laser printer?
Just spent $320.00 to replace all four cartridges but color prints come out blurred due tocartridge misalignment.
The old Toolbox utility in Windows XP is not available for the Win 8.1 OS. So how does one re-adjust the alignment?

    Hi @julnad,
I see that you are experiencing issues with the quality after setting up the printer on Windows 8.1. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
I checked the website and the Windows 8.1 drivers are Windows in-OS drivers. Most likely this is causing the quality output. The previous Windows drivers were the Full Feature Software and Drivers, which would have all the bells and whistles.Installing the Printer Software in Windows 8.1 for a USB or Network Connection.
What operating system was the printer installed on before?
Did you have any quality issues? If you didn't have any quality issues, then most likely it isn't the toner or the hardware, but the driver installed for the printer.
Check paper type is selected to the proper paper and not set to the default unspecified paper.
    What are the toner levels?
What kind of paper are you using?
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a great day!
    Thank You.
