LaserJet M5035 MFP Job Storage

We have a LaserJet M5035 MFP printer.  A customer stored a number of print jobs on this printer and made them private.  They are secured by a PIN.  The customer is now gone, but when contacted has no idea what the PIN is.
How to we go about resetting the PIN or just flat out deleting the jobs?  I'm hoping to not have to go through all the possible combinations.
Brian

Hi ,
Also with job ageing , to delete the pending job with PIN secure perform Hard disk intialization
To perform a hard-disk initialization
1) Turn the MFP off and then on.
2) When the memory count appears on the control-panel display, press the right-hand side of the
TART button until all three LEDs are lit. Release the START button.
3) Press 5 one time. INITIALIZE DISK appears on the control-panel display.
4) Press 6 one time. A series of asterisks appears on the control-panel display. Wait for the MFP to
complete its initialization sequence.

  • HP Laserjet M5035 MFP Scanner Issue

    Hi,
Having trouble with office HP Laserjet M5035 MFP printer. The printer prints jobs fine when they are sent to it from a computer but when you use the ADF or glass scanner bed the document comes out light. Have read many posts and have done all the usual things, toner, clabrate the scanner, update firmware, with no luck. If I go into the copy settings and bump up the density the print looks better but need to do this with every job. I'm thinking the issue is with the scanner assembly but want to check and see if anyone has replaced this unit before and did it resolve the issue. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi,
One thing I was going to try with the formmater board was to bake it. I've had success with baking other formmater boards like the HP 3005 printer. The cold solder joints crack causing issue. I place the formatter board on a cookie sheet with balls of tin foil placed under it to raise it off the cookie sheet. Pre heat over to 350, remove the memory, you can leave the battery installed. Bake in the over for eight minutes. Remove and and let cool. I've done about 20 like this and it's fixed about 15. So worth a try.
    Thanks,

  • HP LaserJet M5035 MFP - Domain authentication - Mac OS 10.6.3

    Hi,
I am using HP LaserJet M5035 MFP and there were many discussions about this. However, I am facing a new problem that I am using a domain authentication. So the smb syntax:
    smb://username:password@workgroup/server/sharename
    does not work with me.
I tried to use the syntax:
    smb://domain/username:password@domain/server/sharename
but it is a wrong syntax. I do not know how to provide my domain account in the smb syntax. I would appreciate if you can show me how to use the domain authentication in smb.
    Thank you.

    Hi Mirre,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having issues scanning on the 10.6. You have no scan function in the HP Director software.
I will be happy to help you.
I have provided a document for how to scan with Apple software to see if you have the same results.
How to Scan: OS X v10.7.
    Disregard the title.
Select Scan without HP software. Select Method three.
If you didn't run through the fax software during the initial install it won't allow you to scan. (even if you aren't using the fax you have to run it)
If your not sure go ahead and run the fax setup assistant.
    Close all applications.
On the Apple menu bar click Go, applications, Hewlett Packard, device utility, open the HP setup assistant and run it.
You should also have one listed as HP Scan to try and run it.
On the Apple menu bar click Go, applications, Hewlett Packard, open the HP Scan and try to scan.
    Now try and scan again.
Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet)
Were you able to scan from Apple's software?
Did you run the setup assistant and were you able to scan?
What is the full name and product number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Is this the Laserjet Pro M1536?
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.
    Have a great day.

  • AS400 (iSeries) Printing to HP LaserJet M5035 MFP Tray 3

    Hi,
Am trying to print from (iSeries) AS400 to tray 3 of HP LaserJet M5035, but the print keeps on diverting to tray 2 (A4). The iSeries is sending the job as A3, so one would assume the printer would print this job to tray 3 (A3), but it does not... Support have looked at the printer config on the iSeries and can do nothing more to change the tray... Does the M5035 have a setting that needs to be changed to allow this... ?

I just spent the last two days on this and have finally sorted it out. It actually isn't that hard to do but for some reason, no one has consolidated the information in one place!
First and foremost, make sure that you have all the latest and greatest firmware updates for your printer, your computer and your mobile devices.
Next, you need to connect your printer to your network via an ethernet cable, this is the only way to get in to the printer softare to configure it for your wireless network.
Navigate the printer menus on the keypad to Reports>Config Report and print this report. It will provide you with the IP adress and IPv4 address for the printer.
With the printer connected to your network and powered on, point your browser to the IP address of the printer. If this doen't work (it didn't for me) use the IPv4 address.
This will open the configuration panel for the printer and will let you configure the wireless for the printer so that it can join your wireless network. You will see various tabs across the top. Select network. Then along the left you will see wireless. Choose that. Now you should see a list of wireless networks available including your very own home network. Choose that one, enter your password and hit apply.
Disconnect the ethernet cable and you should be ready to Airprint from all devices. This worked for me, I can't imagine it won't work for all...then again...

  • HP LaserJet M5035 MFP 'Out of Order' Message

I have an 'Out of Order' message displayed on this printer at the top of the display following the printer name. The copy and fax buttons are 'greyed out' in that they are pale and not working. The printer works OK and there are no other error messages either on the screen or on the error report.
I've updated the firmware to the latest version but it still shows this message and will not copy. I have reset to factory settings and the copy button will light up momentarily and then dim again, and the fax button does the same. I have done a cold reset with the same results.
Without any error messages I don't know where to start looking first. This message is not in the manual and neither does it come up in a Google search.
    Anyone come across this before.

  • LaserJet M5035 issues.. error code etc

I am troubleshooting a LaserJet M5035 MFP printer.
Printer is intermittently receiving error code 49.4C02, I looked it up and most of the issues is regarding the firmware. Thing is the firmware is up to date with 48.240.0b
Whenver the printer prints a big document it shuts down at 9mb everytime
Also, Whenever its set to print two sided the printer jams. When it prints single sided it doesn't jam.  Not sure if printing double sided is causing the 49.4C02 error code.

This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

  • Configure Job Storage/Hold for LaserJet 5550

Hi I got a HP Laserjet 5550 for network printing. It has a Job Storage/Hold feature. On print server -- Printing Preferences -- Job Storage, Personal Job has been selected for the JobStorage Mode.
When I install the printer on the users workstation by default it selects the JobStorage Mode as Off. If I change the mode to Personal Job then when users prints something the job is stored on the printer and the user has to physically select his job from the printer LCD panel to print.
Is there anyway to force the JobStorage Mode as Personal Job so that when users installs the printer by default it will select the Job Storage mode as Personal Job.
Thank you; help will be much appreciated.

    Hello @ Averus89,
    Welcome to the HP forum.
I understand you have done quite a lot to resolve your M176n and its connection to the ePrint service.
I would like to help you with this issue.
If the printer is not printing the web services info sheet, or allowing you to add it to HP Connected, I
    would set a manual DNS.
I wont go into great detail about setting this up. From your post, I feel you know your way around the printer and your network. If I am mistaken, let me know. I will go into detail.
    The DNS to try is:
    Primary: 209.244.0.3
    Secondary: 209.244.0.4
Set the DNS then try printing the web services info page again.
Let me know if this helps.

  • HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw don't go to sleep mode

Hi and sorry for my english In settings of HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw I tryed 15 and 5 minutes before sleep mode. After 15 or 5 minutes printer going to sleep, but if I'm used printer even only one time, after that he don't sleep ( printer's screen not dim), not after 5 and 15 minutes. Printer is connected through wi-fi, Windows 8.1 x64. Any ideas?)

    Hi Denis88,
I see by your post that the printer isn't going into sleep mode.
I can help you with this issue.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
I would update the printer's firmware if the printer won't go into sleep mode.
HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw Drivers.
Select your operating system, click next, click the link for firmware.
I have provided some information from the manual for the sleep mode that you can check out.

inactivity. You can adjust the number of minutes after which the product turns off.
    Touchscreen control panel:
    1. From the Home screen on the product control panel, touch the Setup button.
    2. Open the following menus:

NOTE: The default value is 15 Minutes.
    4. The product automatically wakes when it receives jobs or when you touch the screen on the product

  • HP Laserjet M1132 MFP is too slow over the network!

    Hi,
My HP Laserjet M1132 MFP is too slow over the network!
I have connect the printer to a windows XP 32bit SP3 using UBS port. The printer works fine on the local computer but when sharing it over the network it works too slow, for example with print test page it takes about 45 seconds to print and for other documents it takes much longer time.
I have installed the latest driver form HP website and upgrade the firmware it the latest version.
It happens on other Windows XP machines as well.
I connected the printer to my laptop (Windows 7 64bit) and it works fine (No delays over the network) and it seems that this problem have some relations with the windows XP Driver.
I have used local port trick on remote machines (instead of regular method) like this:
    ''add a local printer;
    'new port'
    'localport'
    \\XPcomputer\HPPrinterName as port name
    but still nothing!
There is nothing wrong with the network, we use to use a Samsung printer on the same machines over the network with no problem.
    I Really appreciate your HELP!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

BEHZAD_T, how is the printer connected to the network (wireless or Ethernet)? If it is slow wirelessly, I would suggest trying to connect the printer to your router with the Ethernet cord and install it to the networked computer that way.
Another question is, relatively speaking, how close to your router are the Samsung printer and the HP printer? Depending on the distance (and what stands between the devices) there can be a lag between sending a print job and it being received by the printer.
    Let me know!

  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw will not print anything except its own config

Just purchased a HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw.  I cannot manage to get it to print using any type of connection to the printer.
I can connect to the printer from my Ubuntu PC and my Android phone, but when I attempt to print, the job just hangs, never erroring, but never completing.  I have attempted printing from various applications, including a test page from the HPLIP tools, but the jobs reports "processing".
When I attempt to print an information sheet from the printer's front panel, it asks me to confirm, but then nothing happens.
I can connect to the printer's web server, but clicking on the print info button there does nothing.
I have successfully connected with HP's ePrint service using the printer's reported email address, but the service reports "problem with printer".
I don't know what else to try here.
    This question was solved.

    Hi richRemer,
I see that you are having issues printing from the computer and the Android phone.
I will be happy to help you.
Power cycle the computer and the router.
I would do a power reset on the printer. With the printer still turned on, disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer. Then disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable back to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and power it on again.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
Print a hardware self test. Find out what the IP address is.
    Printing a Configuration Report.

  • HP Laserjet 1536dnf MFP Installation Error

I have an HP Laserjet 1536dnf MFP printer which will not install.  I originally had Windows 7 OS and got the HP 1536dnf printer which installed fine.  However, I started getting the upgrade to Windows 8.1 pop-ups, which I avoided specifically.  However, I was typing on day when it poped-up to upgrade and didn't catch it in time and next thing I know we are upgrading to Windows 8.1 OS.  What I didn't notice immediately after the upgrade was that my printer began to have trouble.  So I uninstalled the printer and went to reinstall it from the disc and HP download, but it never re-installed. It always stopped at 99% and then gave a time error, something about to long to execute program timed out.  I went to HP support via chat and wasn't able to get it resovled.  However, I did somemore digging on the internt and found other people were having similar but different issue.  Long story short, the Event viewer stated faulting application is PrintIsolationHost.exe and the faulting module name is hppdcompio.dll.  What is this and is there anyway to get a newer version or replace the old dll with another one of the same vintage?  I would like to get my printer fully installed so I can use all the functions again.  I am currently using a default driver.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

  • HP COLOR LASERJET Pro MFP M176n

    Hello
Is the printer HP COLOR LASERJET Pro MFP M176n PCL5/PCL6 compliant?
I searched in the HP website and it says PCLm/PCLmS in one link and PCL 3 GUI in another link.
    Also advise what is PCLm/PCLmS?
    PCL 3 GUI :
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c03894363&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_us...
    PCLm/PCLmS:

Please advise which is the correct one.
    Thanks
    Subbu

No idea which is the correct specification.
But none of those Page Description Languages are compatible with PCL5 or PCL6 (a.k.a PCL XL).
I can't be certain, since (unlike with PCL5 and PCL6) HP does not appear to publish specifications of these PDLs, but as far as I'm aware:
PCL3 GUI is a raster-based language; I believe that the drivers basically generate encapsulated, compressed, PCL-format raster images of each page; the printer unencapsulates and uncompresses these, and then just prints the resultant dots. I suspect that the language does support a very limited set of PCL escape sequences, to select job-level characteristics (such as page size, orientation, plex mode, etc.), but doesn't support anything to do with text formatting.
PCLm and PCLmS also appear to be raster-based, but in this case the raster images are encapsulated within a Portable Document Format (PDF) wrapper.
