LaserJet Pro MFP M176n ePrint is not working

I have problem with my printer. I cannot connect it to the ePrint service.
The ePrint functions is turning on and off without my knowlegde.
After enabling ePrint in web interface of the printer, printer does not printing information sheet.
When I enter code for example my last code edy638epu59 (from email [email protected]) in HP Connected it either says invalid code or something with exception.
I have updated firmware of the printer.
I have added printer to DMZ on my router.
I have changed the router to another.
I have unlocked ports
UDP: 5353, 67, 547, 53, 5355, 137, 138, 139,427, 161, 514, 3702, 5357, 445, 3910

UDP Port Range: 9999 to 65535
I have tried to disable IPv6 in printer.
I have tried to print information sheet on the front panel.
I have tried every possible method found on the web and even I got my printer replaced - same issue...
This question was solved.

Hello @ Averus89,
Welcome to the HP forum.
I understand you have done quite a lot to resolve your M176n and its connection to the ePrint service.
I would like to help you with this issue.
If the printer is not printing the web services info sheet, or allowing you to add it to HP Connected, I
would set a manual DNS.
I wont go into great detail about setting this up. From your post, I feel you know your way around the printer and your network. If I am mistaken, let me know. I will go into detail.
The DNS to try is:
Primary: 209.244.0.3
Secondary: 209.244.0.4
Set the DNS then try printing the web services info page again.
Let me know if this helps.

  • Laserjet pro MFP M176n keeps rebooting

    Hi,
I have  a Color laserjet Pro MFP M176n printer. It ha snot been used for sometime.2 weeks ago when I printed something it had constant paper jam. I open the front door to remove the jam problem was not solved, I removed the ink cartridge to see if there was any piece of paper .Switch the apparatus off and  when i switch it on again it just wnt switch on and now it just keep rebooting and wont display anything.
I would liek to know how to solve this problem or if the printer has to be thrown out.
    Regards

    Hi @widadr,
I see that you are experiencing issues with the printer constantly rebooting. I will certainly do my best to help you.
Temporarily disconnect any cables from the printer, except the power cord, just to make sure there isn't any interference for the next few steps.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Perform a power drain by disconnecting the power cord from the back of the printer and keeping the power button pressed for 30 seconds and in case of a power switch keep the switch in ON position for 30 seconds before reconnecting the power chord.
Try and update the printer's firmware by a USB connection if the issue persists. Software and Drivers.
I will send you another step to try in a private message.

  • HP COLOR LASERJET Pro MFP M176n

    Hello
Is the printer HP COLOR LASERJET Pro MFP M176n PCL5/PCL6 compliant?
I searched in the HP website and it says PCLm/PCLmS in one link and PCL 3 GUI in another link.
    Also advise what is PCLm/PCLmS?
    PCL 3 GUI :
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c03894363&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_us...
    PCLm/PCLmS:
    http://www8.hp.com/in/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?oid=5303442#!tab=specs
Please advise which is the correct one.
    Thanks
    Subbu

No idea which is the correct specification.
But none of those Page Description Languages are compatible with PCL5 or PCL6 (a.k.a PCL XL).
I can't be certain, since (unlike with PCL5 and PCL6) HP does not appear to publish specifications of these PDLs, but as far as I'm aware:
PCL3 GUI is a raster-based language; I believe that the drivers basically generate encapsulated, compressed, PCL-format raster images of each page; the printer unencapsulates and uncompresses these, and then just prints the resultant dots. I suspect that the language does support a very limited set of PCL escape sequences, to select job-level characteristics (such as page size, orientation, plex mode, etc.), but doesn't support anything to do with text formatting.
PCLm and PCLmS also appear to be raster-based, but in this case the raster images are encapsulated within a Portable Document Format (PDF) wrapper.

HP Laserjet 1536dnf MFP document feeder does not work. I tried the suggested unplugged/plug and wait the required time but still no luck. Any suggestions?  It does not even recognize that there is paper in the document feeder.  Prior to this occuring, it used to say "document loaded"...now it says nothing.  I do not even get an error message.  It just does not work.

    Hi @jdm328 ,
I see that you are having issues with the ADF not recognizing the paper loaded. I would like to help you out today.
It might be a hardware or paper sensor issue with the printer, not detecting the paper being loaded.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

  • LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw ePrint failures

We bought this printer several months ago.  My boss wanted a printer that could be printed to remotely.  I advised him to get one of the many Google Cloud Print ready printers out on the market, but the salesman at where ever he purchased this printer, told him the LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw was Google Cloud Print ready and that it also offered this amazing feature called HP ePrint.  The salesman was only half wrong.  Technically any printer is google cloud ready (at least in this braindead of a salesman's standards), as you just need to have it connected to a PC.  However, any notion that this printer is an ePrint printer is an outright lie.
So that I don't get bombarded with the normal responses from the "HP Experts," let me list all of the steps I've done:
First, few days I dealt with customer support.  Yes, dealt, as they were rude and ultimately had no information.  Even after the ticket got "escalated," the advanced tech support still had little to add.  I followed all of the steps for troubleshooting on the support pages as well as the forums.  I've changed to static ip's, google dns servers, power cycled all the devices, did a full printer system restore to bring it back to "out of the box" shape in terms of settings/firmware, tried wired/wireless/usb connections, changed routers, opened ports, disabled and reenabled web services, tried all of the above through the browser with direct ip settings prompts, updated firmware, and I'm sure countless other steps that I honestly don't even want to remember.
I was told the web services e-mail given contains the claim code needed for www.hpconnected.com.  When inserting it as required when adding a device, you'll get Unexpected Error unless it's feeling frisky, and then it gives the Invalid Claim Code prompt.  Let's not forget that when I originally signed up, it was hpeprint.com, and when signing in, they took you on the wonderful whirlwind of a redirects from it to hpconnected and back, never getting past the sign in process.
Eventually, I put this printer far far away from me.  Flash forward several months, and I've done all of the above and then some on top of updating to the latest firmware (which I had hoped would solve this issue finally).  Nothing.
When enabling web services, no information page is printed.  When trying to manually do so, we just sit and spin on the Connecting... screen on the LCD.  If I try to do anything related to the web services features, I get the same result, except in the lovely times it changes to Unable to connect to server.. etc.
Outside of the ePrint issues, this device is really nice.  But it is in no shape or form, an ePrint printer.  Fact is, if I wanted this printer without the ePrint functions, I could have saved money I'm sure.
While searching today for possible new solutions on the forums, I see the following thread:
Eprint on HP LaserJet Pro M127fw
An "HP Expert" advises this kid to use google cloud print, which although comical, is enraging.  This device has, and still is, being marketed as an HP ePrint featured printer.  You can see on the official HP website it's listed:
    HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw
or see the picture below. But as this other HP webpage shows, this printer is not listed as having these features:
    HP Web-Connected Printers
If anyone has any useful advice, or can get me in touch with the Experts of all "HP Experts," I would love you to my dying breath.  But more than anything, I really just want to know if this printer has, or ever will, have these features available. Because having it promoted on the boxes, in stores, on the websites, even having the LCD show settings for these features is nothing less than infuriating.

    Hi sunrotor,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you have had some issues with setting up the ePrint feature of your Laserjet Pro MFP M127fw printer.
Thank you for the very detailed post of things that you have tried. I had a customer who was able to connect with the ePrint servers when using a Level 3 Communications DNS server when trying to connect with their Laserjet Pro M125nw printer. I have included About.com’s list of Free & Public DNS Servers which the Level3 is the first one listed. Please try setting a manual IP address and manual DNS server for the printer using the Level3 servers instead of the public Google DNS servers.
I have also included a post by @VisionAiry that lists all the Incoming and Outgoing Printer Ports. Please ensure that the ports are available for using ePrint.
Please let me know how it goes.

  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127nw ePrint fails occasionally

We have setup a "HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127nw" printer to print out orders from the website. The way we setup is
    1. Customer completed an order.
    2. an email send to the printer's email address.   Then the printer will print this out.
It works maybe 60% of the time.  While the confirmation email is the same format, some doesn't print and caused "a System Error, Try Again"  This is very fustrating, because it doesn't give any notficiation via email that there is a order can not be printed.
    Here are my questions
Why are we getting "System Error, Try Again"?
How can we prevent "System Error, Try Again"?
If we can prevent this from happening, is there a way to get notified if we received this message?
Can we have the system keep re-trying until we get the order?
    Printer setup
Printer is connected to an internet router via a cable.
    Note,
The printing works 60% of the time, but it has to be 99% reliable for this technology to be useful.
    Please help.
    Thank you

    Hi FreshDS,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I understand that some of the print jobs sent to the printer’s ePrint email address fail to print.

  • HP Laserjet PRO MFP M125nw; scanner is not located wirelessly

Product name: HP Laserjet PRO MFP M125nw
Operating system: Windows 8.1 64 bit
This is a new MFP that I installed today. The printer works fine wirelessly but the scanner is not located wirelessly - it is found only with the USB connection. I get the following error message when I try to use the scanner wirelessly:
'The HP LJ M125126 Scan was not found'.
I have done the following to troubleshoot:
Uninstalled and reinstalled from the CD.
Uninstalled and re-installed the full drivers from the HP website.
Also tried the HP print and scan doctor. This says the full software solution is not installed on this computer and asks me to install the full soft ware solution which i had already done - step 2 - prior to using the scan doctor. I still keep getting the same error message.
I would be most grateful for your help please.
    Many thanks.
    Kind regards
    SSUN

    Hi @SSUN ,
I see that you are unable to scan over the wireless network, but you can scan by a USB connection. I would like to help.
Since you can scan by a USB connection, the software and drivers should be installed properly. There shouldn't be any issues with the Wia either.
Temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software. Just to make sure it isn't interfering.
If you are still having issues then check that the scanning ports on the router to make sure that they are open. You can contact the router company to check and open these ports 9220/9500/427 on the router.
What scanning software are you using?

  • LaserJet Pro MFP M276nw software installer not detecting printer via USB or wi-fi - Windows 7

I am trying to install a LaserJet Pro MFP M276nw on Windows 7 Home Premium x64, and I know the printer functions fine, as I have installed it on both Windows Vista Basic x32 and Windows 7 Professional x64 all on the same desktop. The operating system has been changed a couple of times, hence the multiple installs.
I downloaded the full featured software from HP.com and went through the routine of installation as per usual, except that now the software doesn't detect the printer when it requests that I connect it via USB.  Trying to install via wi-fi doesn't work because the printer still needs to be attached via USB in order to create the proper wireless handshake.  Windows 7 detects the printer, and in-fact installed the drivers for it automatically.  However, the printer installation software suite does not respond to the printer being connected, and just hangs there, waiting for it to appear.
I have tried multiple USB ports and it's the same issue.  I've installed the basic driver also available for download on HP.com, but that software does not appear to include an option for scanning files to the computer.  The printer itself will scan to email or to to a USB thumb drive, and even to a network folder, but not directly onto the computer.  If it wasn't a necessary function of an all-in-one printer, I wouldn't bother with the scanning feature and simply make do with the basic printer driver.
Anyone have some sort of idea regarding this issue?

    Hi @KP_ ,
I see that you are having issues with setting up the printer on the one computer. I would like to help you out today.
I would uninstall the software, turn off the Startup programs, Antivirus software and update the driver during the install by the post I have provided.
    Disconnect the USB cable.
    Uninstall the software.
Here are the steps to run the uninstall from the computer or the CD.
    To uninstall from program files:
Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window.
    Select the C drive.
Select program files or program files x86.
Open the HP and printer name folder.
    Select uninstall.
Uninstall the software from the CD:
Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window. Right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
I would disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software to see if there is a program interfering in the back ground. How to use MSCONFIG . Click on the start up tab and click disable all.
Download, save and then run the latest drivers. Don't Connect the USB cable until prompted during the install.
HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver.
Right after connecting the USB cable, follow this document immediately. A Fatal Error Displays During Software Installation. Disregard the title. If the printer stays listed properly, don't worry about updating the driver.
    Test the printer.
Then you will have to go back and enable the Startup programs and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.

  • Laserjet Pro MFP M127FW - Scanning won't work and I cannot set it up

I just purchased this all-in-one and the printer works fine.  The scanner will not.  I'm connected via wireless only at this time.  I do not plan to use it for faxes, but do need the scanning capabilities to work.  I installed the software that it came with, and when the scanning would not work, I installed the HP Print and Scan doctor. I have now uninstalled and re-installed the software twice, but it still will not work.  I keep getting an error message that it cannot connect to the printer.  It suggests I check my firewall, which I turned off just to see if it works.  It still doesn't work.  Please help me! I'm about to return the printer.  Anything this difficult to install and use is not worth it.

  • LaserJet Pro MFP M125a not printing

    Hi,
my relatively new LaserJet PRO MFP M125a stopped printing today. Scan function is still working. All lights are on. Cannot print test page. When I try to print Word or PDFdoc, spool is empty, no job is waiting.
Uninstaled all HP software and drivers, cleaned registry, installed it again. Nothing. Changed USB cable, it worked for few pages, then turned off. When I turned it on, problem is here again. Changed USB cable again, but no luck.
Windows is fresh, new HP drivers...
    Help is needed.
    Best regards,
    Nikola
