Last 12 Rolls Not Displaying Correctly

For some reason when I click the "The Last 12 Rolls" option in the Source Pane iPhoto displays my last 6 rolls properly 12/22/08, 12/20, 12/18, 12/18, 12/13, 12/13 and then skips several month's worth of rolls and displays 9/6, 9/1, 8/28, 8/26, 8/15, 8/15. As far as I know this has never happened before.
Thinking that something might have gone wrong I repaired permissions (nothing found needing repair). I then decided to reinstall iPhoto 6 from my iLife disk along with iDVD. When this was complete I repaired permisions again (nothing found to repair), rebooted the computer, and relauched iPhoto. Same rolls displayed as before.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? And what should I do to fix it?
All best,
Win

Terence,
I've already held down the Option key while launching iPhoto and then when asked to Choose Library I've highlighted 081217Backup of Photo Library. I next get a screen saying: Your Thumbnails need to be upgraded In this version of iPhoto the thumbnails have been improved. Upgrading the thumbnails will take a while, depending upon the number of photos in your library. Do you want to upgrade your thumbnails now?
Given the fact that I have not changed iPhoto verions I have no idea why I am getting this message at this point in time???
The other day when this all started with the problem of the Last 12 Rolls option displaying rolls with random dates you suggested I use the Rebuild Library command in iPhoto which I did to no avail. You then suggested that I download Library Manager and use its rebuild command. Did that and the problem was even worse.
At this point I remembered that I had saved a copy of Library6.iPhoto so I decided that the best thing to do was to use that instead of the damaged database file causing the problem and it solved my problem with the Last 12 Rolls option.
Later I told you that things were fixed and asked what I should do to wind things up. You said just use the backup file and make a copy of it.
That's when I began to screwup. Rather than making a copy of the Library6.iPhoto file I mistakingly tried to make a copy of the iPhoto Library itself and got an insufficient room error message. So despite being tired I went in and did some file housekeeping. Far as I can recall I deleted a backup of the Library. Next I looked at the names of my backup folders and decided that one of them was not necessary so I moved the files from it into a second folder and deleted the now empty on.
When I launched iPhoto after that it couldn't find the library so I did the Choose Library bit and then the library came up empty of photos. I went back and looked in the Library folder and my photos are all there so I decided the trouble must be in the Libary6.iPhoto file.
I guess my question now is how do I get iPhoto6 to use the correct Library6.iPhoto file? The current Library6.iPhoto file only contains 4KB of data so it is obviously not the right one. The irony of all this is I figured out how to do all this a few days ago and it worked. I've just gotten so confused by all the screwups that I am kind of lost.
Thanks,
Win

  • Last text block not displaying correctly after XML import.

    Hi,
I have an .indd template (CS6) and script which imports XML and flows it into as many pages as it requires.
Occassionaly on the last page, the text doesn't display although it is all there and formatted correctly. Going in and out of preview mode doesn't change it.
If I click on the out port or resize the text box slightly, it displays and is fine from then on.
Any suggestions as to fixing it?
As always, many thanks in advance for any assistance.
    Cheers,
    Simon.

  • Umlauts are not displayed correctly in different programs

    Hello!
I live in germany, but my locale is set to "en_US.UTF8" because I like to have everything in english.
I do not have any problems with umlauts on the machine, but when I connect with sFTP oder Samba to it, the umlauts in files are not displayed correctly.
    Look at this example
The upper word is how it looks in "ssh putty" (=locally on the machine), the bottom one is from "filezilla" (from my windows host)
    This is my locale

When I create a file "asd_aöü" locally on the machine (with the help of ssh - putty), it looks fine, but when I connect by samba or filezilla again the umlauts are not displayed correctly.
Do you understand my problem? What can I do?
    Thanks!

Try this without the border images and it will work in all browsers with increased text size. That's assuming eBay supports embedded CSS styles (which I'm not convinced they do).  Inline styles are safer IMHO.

  • Java apps not displaying correctly

    Hi.
I'm having a problem with Java apps, as they seem to simply not display correctly. They are supposed to be Aqua, but it doesn't exactly work, since the actual controls don't appear, but besides that the program seems to carry out what it's supposed to (besides not displaying it correctly.)
I tried removing some Java-related setting files and stuff, but it still doesn't exactly work as it should.

The problem isn't with the Window Manager you use, but the java runtime you have installed. If you have openjdk6 installed, try removing it and install jre and jdk instead. If you have jre and jdk installed, install openjdk6 and see what happens.
I think you're using openjdk6, since I remember hearing problems using it and topcoder.

  • Color gradients not displaying correctly

I'm having an issue with my color gradients in type and objects not displaying correctly in the content viewer. For the last app I created, I made sure the colors were RGB and that seemed to fix it. With the current app I'm working on, that dosen't seem to fix the issue. Actually, when I test in the viewer on my iPad, it shows the correct gradient in the split second that it's loading the update but then once it's loaded, it goes to a gray white gradient (the correct gradient is from a yellow to a gray; attached a pict for referrence).
Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: It seems to view fine if I preview the page via the foilo overlay but when I preview the folio, that's when it's no viewing correctly.

The Color Picker is unreliable for choosing colors based on what you see because it is not color managed while Color panel and Swatches are.
In your image, the color that you see in the Color Picker is how your monitor displays R=0 G=255 B=0. The color that you see in the Color Panel represents the same values in the file but the color management sends different values to the video card and thus to the monitor to display a color with appearance in the color space selected for the document. In your image this is a CMYK color space which you can check from the Show popup menu at the bottom left of the document window. To check the different values the video card is using, make a screen capture, save the image, open it in Illustrator and measure the color with the eyedropper. The color translation from the values in the file to the video card allows simulation of color spaces other than your monitor's. This simulation is accurate if you have a monitor profile installed in your system that correctly describes how your monitor displays colors. Such profile is created by using a color measuring device and profiling software. If your monitor profile (color space) installed in the system is the same as the color space of the document then there will be no translation (simulation) which in effects shuts down the color management - then the colors in the Color Picker will be the same as in the document. Many people do not bother to get an accurate profile of their monitor and use a generic sRGB profile for that. In such case working in RGB color mode using the sRGB color space (default in the Color Settings) will give the same colors in the Color Picker and the document. This usually is a sign of using a monitor that incorrectly displays colors.

  • Flash not displaying correctly for only one web site

In the last 3 or 4 days I seem to have problems with the flash content of one single web site not displaying correctly from my laptop.  I have the same problem from both IE (version7.0.5730.11) and from FF (3.5.8).  The site works fine from my desktop system so it's not the site specifically.  The site (www.transparent.com/wotd/today/spanish.htm) has an embeded flash segment that does not display correctly and thus I can't click on two of the embedded buttons.  It also does not display the background pattern for the flash.  I'm running flash 10.0.45.2 based upon right clicking from within the embedded flash which takes me to the Adobe page with my version info.  The Adobe page seems to display fine.
As far as I know I'm not having problems with another instance of flash - only this site.
Any thoughts on how to diagnose the problem?  I've not added any new programs since this website stopped working but do have some background "tune up" programs that run.  I'm assuming some settings are out of wack but don't know where to start looking.  Any help folks woulc provide would be appreicated.

Well, that is hard to tell. Like I said the website may have updated their technology. Just because it works with the Desktop, doesn't mean there is not a reason that the laptop might not have a problem. You have 2 different systems and
    most likely different configurations.
You may want to check Tools and in the add ons for both, look for Shockwave Flash Object...ActiveX Control..Flash10e.ocx should be installed and enabled.
Also for each check C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash  Right click the Flash folder and make sure for IE that the files are vs 10.0.45.2 by checking the properties.
If you have the correct Flash files and the correct SWO then, some other cause would be looked at.
It has been my experience to not "assume", but verify:-)
    Thanks,

  • GIF not displaying correctly

Hello! I'm trying to do animation in flash using GIFs I made (with transparency )as motion tweens, but I have an issue.
The gifs are playing fine, but after a while, after a certain frame, they are not displaying as they should and are instead displaing only certain random locations from these gifs, sometimes even becoming 99% of the area transparent.
When I go check the bitmaps on flash, they are also not displaying correctly and are indeed displaying the same wronge image that shows up on the preview, but when I preview the GIF I previously made in a browser then it shows perfectly ok.
Here is the gif I made (Working fine) : CAR-ANIM.gif - Google Drive
Here is what happens to it in FLash (it already has the background so don't pay atention to that) : Untitled-1.swf - Google Drive
So why is this happening? why is flash not loading or showing up these gifs correctly? Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't really know. If I look at your original gif, it has 47 frames and all of the frames look fine. When I import that gif into a Flash movie, I see the extra artifacts in the last 8 or so frames. If I import any other gif into a Flash movie, it looks and runs as expected.
If I remove the last few bitmaps from the list in the movie's Library, I can remove the problem from the playback. That's a simple solution, but it doesn't explain the source of the problem.

  • Spry tabbed panel not displaying correctly in IE , in other browsers it is fine, what is the fix

Spry tabbed panel not displaying correctly in IE , in other browsers it is fine, what is the fix

As an FYI: Adobe discontinued developing the Spry framework last year.  And Spry was removed from DW CC.  You can keep using Spry if you wish, but most of us have switched to other solutions that work better in IE10 and Touch Screens.

I've emptied the cache and run disk utility. Any pointers for a novice mac user?? Thanks. M.

  • ICloud status not displayed correctly after changing tags

    Hi everybody,
I have just below 25 000 songs in the iTunes library that I use for iTunes Match (my complete library is actually much larger but I created a separate library to stay below the 25 000 songs limit).
After changing some tags in iTunes (I had some artists listed twice, once in the format "<last name>, <first name>" and once "<first name> <last name>" and wanted to harmonize this) the iCloud status of most of my songs is no longer displayed correctly. If I create a smart playlist containing all "matched" songs it finds only about 1000 songs, a playlist for "uploaded" songs contains only about 250 songs, the vast majority of my songs simply have NO iCloud status whatsoever (not even "waiting").
Trying to fix this, I selected all of my songs, option clicked and chose "Add it iCloud". After waiting some time, nothing changed. The funny thing is: iTunes match reports that 24 669 songs (the correct number) are available in iCloud.
So basically everything works and I am also able to download all of my songs on my iPhone. Still, it's a little bit annoying that the iCloud status is not displayed correctly and smart playlists filtering for iCloud status don't work. Does anybody know a way to fix this?
    Thanks for any help,
    Andreas

The reason why the C3850 switch stack is showing as standalone in LMS CiscoView is because
    it's returning sysObjectID as standalone.
It should return as 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1745 --cat38xxstack
While, if you poll it for sysObjectID, the Catalyst 3850 stack switches will be returning OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1641.
This is an IOS bug "CSCul00003 - Incorrect Sys OID for Cat3850 Stack device".
Unless this bug is fixed, LMS will not be able to show it as stack device.
You can try to check if you can manually change the device identity to cat38xxstack from Inventory > add/edit device > edit identity.
Else we need to wait for the fix of this bug.
    -Thanks

The themes you're having problems with probably use options that the current stable version of the Murrine engine can't handle. Try installing gtk-engine-murrine-git from AUR...I suspect that will fix the problem.

  • Date can not display correctly in excel from .jsp

    Hi,
I create a .jsp report to export the data to excel. the report run OK, except the date field can not display correctly.
for example in database :start date ='01-oct-2003'
in the except it displays to 02/06/02.
It seem all the date field can not be control in the report, and control by somthing else
Doese anyone come accross this problem?
    Thanks

    Hi Rong,
Are you using the following demonstration to build your JSP?

(Output to Excel with Oracle9i Report)
I tried to do the same, and inserted a database date field in the JSP using Reports. I found the following:
While making the template inside Excel, if I make sure that the format of the date cells is "Date" - some particular date format, the date field values from Reports does not get exported correctly.
However, if you make sure that inside the template, the format of the date cells is not date, but "General", then the date field values are correctly exported to Excel.
Pl try it and let us know.

  • BPS_WB: Please Wait Dialog Box not Displaying correctly???

When we switched our Planning Interfaces to using the New Planning Interface Design the Please Wiat Dialog Box does not display correctly.
When a Request is fired and the client is waiting for the Response all that shows is a white block in the middle of the screen with no dialog screen or other information.
It maybe associated with the following:
    function bpsOpenURLSelf(doIt, url)
          if (doIt) {
            try {
document.body.style.cursor = "wait"; // works only in IE
            } catch (ex) {} // ignore
            open(url,'_self');
// note: function with doIt==false is used to check
//       existence of the opener window
Or it may be associated with a CSS issue?
I am currently using IE 6.0.2900.2180.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated!
    Thanks, ATC
