Last 13 months filter
Hi All,
We have a 'Date' field in the report, the format is "10/25/1999 5:23:56 PM"
I have calculated the below mentioned fileds on the webcat:
1. Year: 1999
2. MonthID: 199910
Now I want to apply the last 13 months filter on the report in which these two date fileds are used.
Does anybody has the idea how to do the same?
Regards,
Apoorv

Is it possible to have a button when click would filter the last month of whatever the current date is. (Without making a 2nd interactive report)Hi,
I went quickly over this:
http://anthonyrayner.blogspot.com/2008/07/dynamic-date-filtering-in-interactive.html
This should help. it shows you how to prepare the URL of the wanted report. and you can choose button action Redirect to URL.
There is more ... give me one minute :)
Ok.. This is what you need:

Modelling "Last Month" figures in a Calculation View
I am trying to create a Calc View to provide data for a report which for every slice of data should show some "this month" and "last month" data. My approach so far is to have a (graphical) Calc View which does Union of "this month" data (referred further as M) with basically the same data set (let's call it M1) where I only replace calendar month with another "calmonth1" column (I'm on SPS02 which doesn't have addmonth function yet, so had to make a Join with a month lookup table here).
That approach works mostly fine -- I get the data for this and last month, and performance is reasonable. Except when I specifically filter the testing SQL query by Calendar Month: then the runtime jumps from 0.5 sec to 9 seconds!
I have been able to narrow the issue down to the Union statement, where my two data sets have different fields (M.calmonth and M1.calmonth1) united in the resulting field U.calmonth. So, I guess, when I apply the filter to the field U.calmonth (effectively), the system cannot derive the corresponding values of M1.calmonth1 to cascade the filter down to dataset M, and tries to extract everything into M1, then does the Union with M, then selects what's right.
The same thing actually happens with a Projection, which indicates the issue is not in Uniting results from two data sets but exactly with deriving "reversed selections".
I went through HANA manuals, and the only related hint there was to have a JOIN ALL on key fields instead of a Union. I'm keeping it as a last resort, as I want to avoid scripting due to high maintenance effort.
I would be grateful to hear about alternative designs. Thanks!Roman,
You can push down your current month and last month logic into Analytical view.
In Time Attribute view, create two claculated measure for calender month. You can build this using "NOW" function, left functions. Once you have current month create last month leveraging current month and casting (current month -1)
Once you have these two calculated attribute ready in your Time attribute view. Bring it to Analytical view and using "if then" function you can calculate measures for Current Month and Last Month.
This will improve performance as it avoids jumps between various engine.

How to get the sales value of the last month in the quarter
Hi,
We have a requirement to get the "Sales" value against a quarter. We have 2 tables "Time" and "Sales". We want to display the Sales value against each quarter.
But this should happen as follows.
Consider quarter Q1 it should display the value of 3rd month, Q2 should display value for 6th month and so on..
If in any particular Quarter we dont have a value for last month then it should display the value for 2nd month, if 2nd month value is also not present then it should display 1st month sales value.
We are using excel as the database.
Please let us know if anybody has a resolution to this.
Regards,
Apoorv Chitrehi, make an other column which will be the flag for the last months you want to be displayed...
so ,in reports, you pass it as hidden column(by filter only the ones which have the appropriate flag),and then voila...
i hope i helped

Month filter between two ranges based on user response inIDT
Hi,
I am working on SAP BO4.0.I have a requirement of creating a month filter on a date which will be between two ranges. The first range is the user response and the second range will be 6 months added to that user response. For eg:-If a user enters 1 as the response for month prompt then the date will be filtered between 1 and (1+6)=7.The database used is SAP HANA.
Please let me know if further clarifications are required.
Any help on this will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.Hi Riddhi ,
afaik this is not doable in UDT/IDT .Only thing we can make is to run the report for last month by using magic dates concept.
Check below logic if it helps.
For a requirement to run a report for fiscal year starting date to last month if nothing selected .
@Select(Time\Yr-Mth Key) between@Prompt('From Date','A','Time\Month / Year',mono,primary_key,,{'JUL 2013'}) and
(case when @Prompt('To Date','A','Time\Month / Year',mono,primary_key,,{'JAN 1999'})='JAN 1999' then to_char(add_months(sysdate,-1),'YYYYMM')
else
@Prompt('To Date','A','Time\Month / Year',mono,primary_key,,{'JAN 1999'}) end)
This is on Oracle Database.
When you run webi report
From Date : JUL 2013 (fiscal year start date)
To date : JAN 1999( without changing this you can refresh the report for last month , else it'll refresh for selected month) -

I want all records created last month. The following query includes records created on October 2009, 2008,.... But i want the records created only this year.
select * from dba_users where to_Char(created,'MM') = to_char(sysdate,'mm')-1I can't add a hardcoded year filter like
AND to_char(created,'YYYY') = 2010The year filter should be dynamic.Hi,
As Dombrooks said, don't convert from one data type to another if you don't have to.
When run during November 2010, the solution Dombrooks posted
select *
from dba_users
where created >= trunc (sysdate, 'MM') - 1
;will find created dates on or after October 31, 2010.
If you want created dates from October 1, 2010 through October 31, 2010, then use:
SELECT *
FROM dba_users
WHERE created >= ADD_MONTHS (TRUNC (SYSDATE, 'MM'), -1)
AND created < TRUNC (SYSDATE, 'MM')

How do you report on last months data. I know there is a session variable for current month, i.e. VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.CURRENT_MONTH), that I've used in a column formula to filter the data, but there doesnt seem to be one for last month, so how do I get around this? I'm creating a report for Sales Pipleline and trying to show the TCV for this month and last month in order to compare the two. Some assistance please?
Hi Alex,
Thanks for the reply. So Can you just confirm, are you saying that within analytics there is no way for me to get the TCV value of an opportunity as of last month or last week? I put together a report to try and show the TCV value from last week and I used a filter with the column formula for my TCV value, my formula was; FILTER("Historical Sales Stage".Revenue USING (Opportunity."Close Date" >= VALUEOF("LAST_WEEK_BEGIN_DT"))), but from what you are saying I dont think this can work and I havent really had time to test it out properly. I then had another TCV column with a filter of; FILTER("Historical Sales Stage".Revenue USING (Opportunity."Close Date" >= VALUEOF("CURRENT_WEEK_BEGIN_DT"))). At the moment I'm getting the same value which could be because I havent changed any data or like you say you can only report on current values. What do you think?

£750 bill from Vodafone as iPhone sent 20GB last month, please help!
Hi
I have just received a shock data bill from vodafone. Apparently my iPhone has been using between 500 MB - 1GB a day for the last month.
I have had the phone for almost 18 months and cannot work out why this has suddenly happened. I have not downloaded a new app or changed my usage at all.
I checked the phone and it states that it has sent 20.7 GB of data, and received 1.7 since last reset (October).
I only use the phone for calls, texts, and social networking. I have wifi at home and barely use cellular data.
I contacted Vodafone as I wish to dispute the bill (I am happy to pay for what I have used, but I cannot see how I have used this!)
They state that if I can show it is a software issue, they will write off the £750. At first they suggested I send it to them and they would check if it was software or a fault, until they realised it was out of warranty, then they said they can't look at it unless I pay £150.
They suggested giving apple a call, but I looked on website and to call them will be £25 and I am not sure if it will resolve the issue.
What can I do? The phone is still on iOS 6.0, I realise the data issue could possibly be resolved by updating, but am reluctant to do this before the phone is checked out (if I can get apple to check it out). For the time being I have restricted all data to wifi.
Is it likely to be a fault/software issue? I have not sent any files anywhere etc. If I drive to my nearest apple store (at least an hour away) will they look at it/are they likely to help/admit it is software and give me some proof for vodafone?
Please help!!Contact the Apple store directly (or Verizon) as Apple (nor Verizon for that matter) monitor these forums.

I gave my ipad 2 to my brother last month. After that he erased all content and settings, sign in with his apple id. The next day until now, I found out that I can not udpate my apps both on my iPhone and iPad Air. I had create new apple id, change my password, delete the icloud acc. But still I can not update my apps. I have many of red notifications on iPhone and iPad Air. What should I do? Thank you in advance.
1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.
Is your iPad working? -
How to calculate the sales in the last month of last year
Hi all,
I have a requirement need to implement ,
the report has three columns,
MONTH----SALES----SALES2
201201----10------------100
201202----20------------100
201203----30------------100
201204----40------------100
201205----50------------100
The Sales2 is the sales of last month of last year, that is sales in 201112, value is 100.
How to realize this requirement ?
thank you in advance!!!sorry,
I think you maybe not understand my requirement.
What I want to implement as follow,
MONTH----SALES----SALES2
201201----10------------100 (This is 201112's Sales)
201202----20------------100 (This is 201112's Sales)
201203----30------------100 (This is 201112's Sales)
201204----40------------100 (This is 201112's Sales)
201205----50------------100 (This is 201112's Sales)
201206----60------------100 (This is 201112's Sales)
If I set SALES2 =AGO(SALES,MONTH, <number of period>)
how can I set <number of period> ?
201201 should mapping to 201112
201202 also mapping to 201112
201203 also mapping to 201112
201204 also mapping to 201112
201205 also mapping to 201112
201206 also mapping to 201112 -
For the last month or so my icloud won't back up, it keeps telling me that there is too much storage and I need to delete some data. But I have deleted between 3-400 photos and it is still saying the same, can anyone please help
If they were deleted from your camera roll that should have resulted in a corresponding decrease in the estimated size of your next backup.
If it's still saying that you don't have enough storage to back up, read through this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847. It provides some suggestions for reducing your iCloud storage, such as deleting unneeded email.
The other area to look at is your text messages. These are included in the backup. If you have lots of photos and videos attached to your messages, that can significantly increase the size of your backup. If that's the case, deleting these may make a big difference. -
Can I ask for a replace meant of iMac since yjere is a failure of one part every month. Last month lcd replied now optical drive.
Imac 27".
i do not like the idea of repairing every month.
Feel the imacs supplied to India are sub standard onesFolks have reported that the Apple policy is three major component failures and the Mac is replaced. For the first two the Mac is repaired. Apple would not risk alienating its customers from one of the most populated nations in the world, so its time to stop the "discriminating against the poor Indians and selling us sub-standard Macs" routine. Occasionally the universe aligns just right for there to be a Mac lemon. Folks in every country have experienced lemons. It is the hazard of manufacturing millions of Macs with even more millions of parts, all produced by different parts suppliers. And it is why the manufacturer's warranty exists.
Speak to the vender about a replacement. If necessary call Apple Care and request that your warranty service call be escalated to Customer Relations. Politely, but firmly, explain the situation and stand your ground that the solution to make you a happy customer is to have the Mac replaced. Don't make threats, mention lawyers or claim that Apple discriminates against Indians. If you do, you will have lost your case and Apple will then work with you from a distance and follow it policies and procedures to the letter, regardless of whether it makes you happy.
