Hi All,
We are installing EHP4 SP6 in our ECC 6.0 system. Weu2019ve created a .xml
file in our solution manager and calculated a download queue with the MOPZ. The installation is on a Windows 2003 32 Bit platform with a SQL server 2005 SP2 DB. There is 40Gb pagefile and 15Gb memory available. The latest SAP kernel (254) is also installed.
In roadmap step 5 (Preprocessing) the installation stops with the
message: u201CChecks after phase MAIN_SHDRUN/ACT_UPG were negative! Last
error code set: Unresolved requests in buffer <SID>Check logfiles 'ACTUPG.ELG' and 'J:\EHPI\abap\log\SAPehpi.ECO'u201D
In the log files there many entryu2019s of: DDIC ACTIVATION ERRORS and
RETURN CODE in SAPAW70106.VCW 1 ETP111 exit code : "12"
By looking at the logfiles, it seems to be a problem with the job RDDMASGL in the shadow instance. The job terminates and a runtime TSV_LIN_ALLOC_FAILED error occurs.
Iu2019ve changed some parameters in the shadow instance profile to:
abap/heap_area_total = 4000000000
ztta/max_memreq_MB = 1000
ztta/roll_area = 2000000
ztta/roll_extension = 2000000000
abap/heap_area_dia = 2000000000
abap/heap_area_nondia = 2000000000
em/initial_size_MB = 2048
But after repeating the phase, the installation stops again.
Hopefully some of you can provide me some information so that I can solve this problem and continue the installation.

Hi,
Choose option Accept non-severe errors and repeat the phase. Because sometimes in ACT_UPG phase it tries to activate some obsolete object and get stuck.

Solution of your issue is already present in SHDINST_OS.LOG
Possibly the password for user ISNET\SAPServiceDEC entered in phase
1 ETQ399 INITPUT was wrong. You can reset it by calling 'SAPup set stdpar'.

Read the log carefully.Have you performed the above mentioned steps from SHDINST_OS.LOG file at your end.
Also just give a full restart your server,up all the required services & confirm the execution of the phase.

DirectAccess Windows 8 Client Won't Connect - Last Error Code: 0x2af9

Hi All
Well I've had 2012 DirectAccess up and running now for about 2/3 weeks (using Win8 client only), it's been "ok" (most problems are client based - like Services not restarting upon resuming from sleep).
Yesterday I spent many hours connected to DirectAccess from my Windows 8 Laptop. When it's working, I love it.
Today, it's a completely different story.
Windows 8 won't damn well connect. At first I started getting prompted to enter proxy credentials (I have no idea why, have never been prompted for this before and the internal TMG proxy shouldn't even be in the loop, given my DA server has it's own
public IP address). The DA server has a completely separate public IP to the proxy's public IP address and the DA is setup with 2x NICs.
The error I'm getting is:

The information for your errorcode seems to be related to not beeing able to lookup the host (the information from MSDN is pasted below.)
Can you verify that your client can resolve "da.fqdn" to the correct IPv4 address?

Thanks for your input. I think you might be right.
I suspected IE wasn't resetting my connection settings (even though I had un-ticked 'use a proxy server' - I don't think it had 'applied').
So, I did a reset of IE10, noticed all of the connection settings were gone and DA connected.
There definitely seems to be a gap in the DirectAccess solution in that it refers to the IE proxy/connection settings rather than just goes out to the Internet like Outlook does. When on the Domain, obviously you'll receive GPOs which in most organisations
that use things like Proxies (e.g. TMG) these GPOs will apply the proxy settings, but then when you disconnect from the Domain and you want to roam, those proxy settings need to be disabled - at least until DA has connected, then you're free to apply
the proxy as the gateway again.
It's a bit annoying.

HTTP Error Code 400 Bad Request error when connecting to SQL db

I realized I should move this to a new post since it was a new question...
I am trying to connect to a distributed SQL database from CS4.
Let me show you how the connection is built... and then maybe someone can tell me what I am doing wrong...
First I go to the database panel:
I click on the '+' sign to add an MS SQL Server Connection:
That brings up the SQL Server Connection window where I am supposed to replace the placeholders with my server values:
After I enter the correct values and click test, I get the error (HTTP Error Code 400 Bad Request)... These values work from SQL Server Management Studio on the same PC.
Just as a side note... I tried one other thing that makes me think SOMETHING is wrong here:
If I choose as OLE DB Connection instead... and click the 'Build...' button and then enter the values in the Data Link Properties Window (OLE DB Provider for SQL Server, and then the connection info on the Connection tab) and then click Test Connection on the Data Link Properties window, it says my test succeeded. Then I click 'ok' which takes me back to the OLE DB Connection windows with the connection string pre-filled, and click test on THAT window and I get the same HTTP Error Code 400 Bad Request error...
Hopefully that is enough detail that someone can can tell me what I have broken?

How to get the error code for http request

I have to implement the if..elso loop depending on the error code return as below.

RMI call resets Windows error code?

I'm attempting to retrieve a Windows error code from a remote system, using a simple call to the Windows API function getLastError() which is wrapped inside a JNI function on the remote system. getLastError() returns the last error code set for a particular process/thread.
The problem is, it appears that simply making the remote function call clears the error value before it can be returned. I can confirm that the error value was set on the remote system by printing the Process/Thread ID and getLastError() value to a console window on the remote system when one of my remote methods is called with out-of-range data. If I attempt to retrieve the error code, the Process/Thread ID match but the error code is always 0. No other methods were called on the remote system in between the initial error-generating method and the method which returns the error code.
Note that using the same JNI function calls without RMI works fine - I can generate error codes and retrieve them just fine.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

You're assuming that no other system calls are
executed between the one that caused the error you are
interested in and your GetLastError(). RMI executes
system calls on its own behalf, both to return the
value from the previous computation that caused the
error and to dispatch the new call into the method
that does GetLastError(). This approach is never going
to work. Why can't you call GetLAstError() straight
after the error happens, in the same remote method?This is what I suspected is happening, and if true, then I will simply have to rewrite my RMI method calls. Currently, they return -1 on error, and the error number is retrieved with a separate getLastError() call. This is done for legacy reasons (I'm calling C functions which were originally developed without Java/RMI in mind). As suggested, I'll have to call getLastError() immediately after an error occurs, and return the negative value of the error code rather than just -1. I've got about 200 remote methods to modify, so I was trying to avoid this, but hey... it's mostly search/replace.

I was purchasing new iPhones last night on bestbuy.com; choosing Sprint as my carrier. We currently have Verizon and are upgrading to smartphones. I put in my credit card information, filled out the credit app and it said "Error: Code 304" Your request could not be processed. BestBuy's online support was closed at the time and now I'm ready to go down to BestBuy to figure this out. Anyone have any ideas what this code means?

I'm not aware what that error code means, but if you visit your local Best Buy Mobile they should be able to take care of you.

Error code 10846

I'm getting error code 10846 on an AI buffer read.
Scan rate is 500 scans/sec.
While loop has 100 msec synchronizing timer reading 75 scans at a time.
Buffer is 4000 scans.
VI is running a test cycle that completes in 70-80 sec. Every time the test sequence completes AI Clear is run. I don't understand how I could be accumulating scans in the buffer with this setup. Anybody have any ideas?

Setting your scan backlog indicator to be 'disabled and greyed' would not cause this error. It is a good idea to enable that indicator to see what is happening there. Besides trying all the things mentioned in the error message (like increasing buffer, decreasing sample rate), you could decrease the wait time in your loop. Even if you tell LabVIEW how often to run the loop, Windows still has the final say. So this is still system dependent and many things can be a factor, like processor speed, memory, other running applications, etc.

I accidentally deleted "My Picture" folder and tried to do a recover to earlier version and am getting the error code "0x800704c8 the requested operation cannot be preformed on a file with a user-mapped section open". I am using Windows 7 on an HP Pavillion dv6 notebook. All I want to do is recover my picture anyone can help me Thank you.

Let me confirm first that, was it a default picture folder which you can access by Clicking on the Windows Start button and then clicking on Picture in the Menu? or is it a folder that you have created?
You can very well try checking Recycle Bin to see if you see the folder there and then right-click on the folder and restore it.
And if it's the default picture folder then all you need to do is,
1.) Click on Windows Start button and then in the Menu click on Documents.
2.) A window will pop open. In that Windows, towards the left side bar, you will Find Libraries folder. Please right-click on it and the click on Restore Default Libraries and that will bring back the Picture folder and hopefully the contents will be as it was.

This will isolate any encoding/burning issues you may encounter. Once the disc image is created, double-click the .img and burn the virtual disc that should appear on your desktop, using Toast to burn the DVD. Disk Utility to burn the .img file. Usually, you can select a burning speed in Disk Utility.
There are variations to this process based on which OS X you are using...
Open Disk Utility (in Utilities folder in Applications folder), click on the virtual disc (maybe the .img) in the left-hand window. Click the Burn icon. A new window should drop down and your SuperDrive tray will open after clicking the Burn icon. Insert a recordable DVD. (Verbatim DVD-R preferred by me.) Click the Close button. Wait. Select a burn speed. If you hold your mouse cursor over the pop-up it says: "Select a slower speed to work around burn failures," so select 4x or slower for best results. Then click the Burn button.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
