Last night i forgot my passcode for my ipod and i dont want to restart my ipod because nothing is saved onto my computer. I was wondering if there were any other ways to get my ipod unlocked?

Nope.
You will have to restore your ipod or put it into recovery mode. Either way you will lose everything that you have failed to store on your computer.

If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.      1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end
         of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
     2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the
         red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
          If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake
          and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake
          and Home buttons.
     3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device.
         The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device
         charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then
         start with step 2 again.
     4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
         When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
     5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
     6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.

Making a new Apple ID was the worst thing you could of done. This is very bad to do. Not sure why people do that. Your Apple ID is Your Apple ID. You only need one and it is best to only have one Apple ID for all apple devices.

Have you been syncing the iPod with iTunes? Then you just connect the iPad and set it up through iTunes and sync any content you want onto it.

In terms of games/apps. If they are not universal (you will see a + symbol next to them) or made for iPad (you would see an HD in the name, usually) then they won't look good on an iPad as those apps will open in a iPod sized window, giving you the option to enlarge.

First try using Spotlight Search to find Settings. If that works go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Settings. If you can't get to Settings:
Try a reset:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

You can import your media a couple different ways. If you plan on keeping the media on the external drive, I would just direct iTunes to read the media folder on the external. Here are the steps on how to make that change.
