Last night, I plugged in my nano to sync and could not pull up the summary page. It will connect and charge, but will not pop up as a "device" in left column. I can't sync. how can I fix this?

Last night I tried to sync my IPOD nano, and could not pull up the summary page. It would connect and charge the IPOD, but did not pop up as a "device" in the left column, so I could not click it and get to summary page and sync new music. Same laptop for a year, same IPOD, synced 3 days ago with no problem. Now all of a sudden, I can't sync. No message or other window pops up to tell me if something is wrong. How can I fix this?

Please authorize ADE 3 with same credentials that you used with older version of ADE
