Hey martz94,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
After reviewing your post, it sounds like the iPhone will not turn on because it is not charging. A frustrating situation for sure. Take a look at both of these articles to try and resolve the issue.

my ipad will not charge up. it just shows the red battery signal and then switches off. The same charger succesfully charges other idas so i know it is no the charger that is faulty.Any suggestions

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

  • Ipad will not charge or turn on the screen shows the red battery only

The ipad in question belonged to a friend of mine and it has never been dropped or damaged as long as he owned it. He did get it used from gamestop but there was not any visable damage. The ipad showed the red battery indicating it needed to be charged so I pluged it in for him a few hours later nothing I put it back on the charger over night the next day nothing. So thinking it was maybe the charger I took it home and charged it on mine which is for the ipad (iPad 3) and let it charge over night and it still did not have a charge. I tried holding down the home button and then the home button and the power button and nothing would happen. He has bought a new one but I am still wondering what went wrong with it, can any one tell me what happened or does anyone have an idea about it? Thanks a bunch and have a good day.

If you've tried different chargers & different cables, next inspect the 30-pin connector on the bottom of the iPad. Dust likes to live in there and impede contact with the charge cable. Get a clean toothbrush (or similar) and brush out the port. Even if you don't see any visible dust/lint, do it anyways. Afterwards, blow it out as well. The connectors in the 30-pin connector are very small and even the tiniest bit of dust can cause improper contact. While you're at it, check/clean the 30-pin cable as well.

  • I have restored the settings on my iphone and now after entering the pin on my sim card it wants me to connect it to iTunes but when i try it just says my sim card is not supported... what can i do now?

Typically this indicates a device that has been hacked to be unlocked or jailbroken.
If that is the case, no support can be provided here.

  • My iPad 2 doesn't show the green battery icon when charging.

when i charge the ipad2 i see that it is charging on the top right symbol
i do not see the big green battery like on the iphone.
Why is there no big green battery on the opening screen when i wakeup the ipad2?

That feature doesn't show on the iPad2. I only have the symbol in the upper corner as well. You can buy a batter app that when used will show the battery upon wake up.

  • Hi, My iphone 5 is only displaying the red battery symbol and wont turn on.

I have tried most of the tips and can't get the serial number to contact support as cannot get info from phone.

    You've tried charging the iPhone?

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • IPhone 2G (2.2) not recharging - red battery showing

    Hi all
    I'm encountering the following problem:
My iPhone was nearly running out of power one evening, thus i plugged it into the wall charger. The next morning, I noticed that the iPhone was not recharged at all - it wasn't plugged in properly I guessed. I continued using my phone the next day, did a synchronization in the evening, everything worked as normal. BUT it stopped recharging and suddenly the red battery appeared as described in the manual on p. 33 right side (colored images). When I plug it in the charger, image on p. 33 left side appears.
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPhone_UserGuide.pdf
So I guess, the phone notices when it is "on power". I let it on power for at least 10 hours, nothing changed! I did a reset (pressing power & home button for like 10 sec.) nothing, and iTunes doesn't recognize that there is a phone connected (as the phone does not boot).
I put the iPhone in DFU-Mode and iTunes recognized it and i was able to do a full recover without any problems. But at the end of the recovering process, it went back to the red battery...
    Any ideas?
I guess, that there is a broken controller measuring the battery power or anything like this...
would it be an idea changing the battery? I didn't notice any big decreasing in battery power...
    Thank you for any help!
    Kind regards

I had the same problem. What I did in the end was:
    1) Plug phone into charger
    2) Press home button and then power button, hold for 10 secs until the red battery icon disappears
    3) Leave it alone for an hour
    4) Switch on phone
    5) Then it showed that it's charging (still not fully charged, though, but at least it's not showing the red battery icon anymore)
    Hope this helps.
Thank you LordFarkward for your suggestion
Unfortunately it did not solve my problem... still the same drained red battery!

Last night my iphone screen all of a sudden was solid blue and now it is black. I tried turning it on and off.  Still nothing appeared on the screen.  I put it on the charger and this morning it is totally black.  However, when I hit the on and off button, I did hear the text message signal go off. When I turned the volume on and off a big white bell flashed.  In the last week, there were some other display problems such as the screen blowing up large. The only way to fix it was to turn off the phone and then turn it back on.
What does all of this mean? It seems like I've had these problems since the iphone 4 upgrade.

just do reset, press home button and power butoon for a while untill you can see apple
    gud luck

I have tried to install lion last night and it stopped by slow internet connection. I paid through App Store and i tried again today but APP Store show installed. How can I install again?

If you cannot resume the download, try to start the Installation Application in your /Applications Folder. If that does not work, delete the Installation Application and try to reload it. If that still does not work, contact Apple would be my best tipp

Connect your device, select it in the left-hand column, then change the settings on the various tabs to sync the media content your library to the device. Anything already on it may be removed. If that would be a problem see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

    Hello Cooper,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone 5.  I would be concerned too if my iPhone was not powering on.  I found an article with steps you can take when you encounter an issue like this.  I recommend following the steps below:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?
    Contact Apple Support.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

You can try drying it out internally by wrapping the unit in a paper towel and putting it in a bag with a dessicant safe for electronics such as silica gel pellets, or failing that in a bag of dry, uncooked rice, for a few days. It's very probable that it's been permanently damaged, but it's possible that if you dry it out, it may then work. If after a few days in the bag it still has problems, then you'll need to pay to get it exchanged (by Apple) or repaired (by a third-party repair service) or buy a new iPhone.
    Good luck.

Perform a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If this doesn't help, connect the phone to the charger and leave it for about 30 minutes and see if it comes on. If not, while it is connected try the reset I described first.
