Last Pass KeePass(x/2/x2)

So with all of these issues surrounding sites being hacked, databases being stolen, governments doing shady things and the cloud being not nearly as trustworthy as people make it out to be, I'm looking to set up my own pseudo last pass type of a setup.
I'm running arch linux on my primary desktop, linux mint on my primary laptop, ubuntu on my central media/whatever I want to do server with an unlocked android phone.
I'm sure my ignorance is going to shine through here, so let me start by saying up to this point I haven't used lastpass or keepass(or any of it's alternative implementations)
What my dream would be would be to have a central keepass server set up on my server and have keepass clients on all of my devices that either access or constantly sync up with the database on the server. I would really like to have browser plugins (firefox and firefox mobile) that will auto-fill for all the websites that I go to because I'm planning on using very complex randomly generated passwords that would be extremely secure and impossible to remember. I want to be something that I can set up and just point everything at it and forget it. Seamless. What's the best way to do this while being as compatible as possible? Keepassx? Keepassx 2? Keepass 2 using mono? I have my concerns with using Keepass 2 with mono as I'm not sure that it's really intended to be run on linux and it could be left in the dust eventually or something could be done to break compatibility since it's primary goal is to be run on windows, but then Keepassx 2 is in alpha and moving at a snail's pace from what I can see, plus I don't know if it's production ready seeing as how it is alpha. Then there is just regular Keepassx which I'm not sure if that's just antequated and doesn't support the feature set I need.
Does anyone have any input or ideas? Is this possible or is it all just a pipe dream?

Keepassc has a server-client mode (I have not tested that aspect of it, however). No browser auto-fill, though...there is a single keypress to copy username, then another to copy the password. I personally prefer to use btsync (or Dropbox in the past) to keep a copy of the password database sync'd between computers.

If it is no longer showing, you can enable it from your addons page that is located in the three horizontal bar Firefox Menu.

Last Pass is on computer but it does not showin browser or work

Had to download 3.6.2 because 5 was was interfering with AVG. Last pass worked when I had 5 but now does not. Does not even show in tool bar.

Type about:plugins into Firefox address bar. Does it show Shockwave Flash as an enabled plugin?

V. 25 dumped my Last Pass extension and I can't Re-install it

I have tried several times to install Last Pass and get the same result everytime.
I click on install and it shows that is installing.
Then tells me I need to restart Firefox.
I restart Firefox.
When Ff comes back on nothing has changed, Last Pass isn't there. It is not in my list of extensions.

You cannot download iPhoto. Updates will not run unless there's an iPhoto app to update.
The only way to install iPhoto is from a disk.
If you had iPhoto 09 don't install v6 because it will not be able to open your Library.
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only...’

Time Capsule doesn't support AirPlay (only the Airport Express), you might have mixed terms up! Do you mean the Airport Utility.app ?
If not try to see if the Airport Utility.app detects your Time Capsule, and troubleshoot the issue from this app.
If this doesn't work, try unplugging the Time Capsule and Plug it back in.

Last Pass with Safari 6.0

Anyone able to use Last Pass with Safari ver. 6.0? Mine would not load and gave me an error message each time I opened Safari. I removed it and am not sure whether to reinstall it or not yet.

Old Firefox data file - lost last pass and riminder fox

hello - was going to reinstall Firefox - so did a back up.
didn't reinstall it but reset it instead
but now have lost Reminder Fox and Last Pass .... but .....
On my desktop i have a file "Old Firefox data" which must have come from the back-up.
Would like to re0install both add-ons with all the relevant personal date
What do I have to do? Windows 8 laptop using current version of Firefox

These are double backups of your data made by Reset Firefox feature. As [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|reset Firefox article states]], your personal data such as history, passwords, cookies, is kept, but your addons are likely to be removed -that's how Reset Firefox can solve your Firefox problems.
However, you can check at [[Recovering important data from an old profile]] if you can pick your extensions from Old Firefox folder and get them back to your profile.

No, I use Chrome daily with 10.9.1 and it is still very speedy.

The iCloud password isn't saved anywhere on your device, this is the way it's supposed to work.

Last pass password manager and auto form filler have disappeared from my tool bar. How do I get them back or do I have to start all over again.

Do those extensions still show as installed in Tools > Add-ons > Extensions?
If not then it is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

I always check email for a confirmation of purchase before I worry- and I did get one. But apparently ( not like normally) this last pass purchase I made had some kind if delay in showing up as purchased on ATV. Half an hour later- there it is.... Which is good sine I had to answers on what to do other than restart again. If it doesn't show in yr acct or have a receipt- id rebut it. It's easier to get them to refund a duplicate than search for the invisible.

The last version stopped working and after an upgrade, nothing works. Add-Ons are absent...it will access internet but the entire browser is messed up.

Was using version prior to latest version 16. Had a problem getting rid of Incredimail search so came here. Instead of doing the reset procedure, I uninstalled-reinstalled Firefox after exporting my bookmarks, etc. I used Revo Uninstaller. That solved the problem of the incredimail issue but went to put my usual add-on's onto browser and that's when the problems started. Last Pass log in button has a small drop down menu I have never seen before..no text just icons. At first the browser showed I had add-ons, but when I would click the options on say: Last Pass, that brought up a menu that was blank. No way to set options. Nothing works. So I reset to original. That didn't work. So...I removed the folder from my programs file and uninstalled Firefox again. Then I upgraded to the latest version...16. Same story. When I click my add-on's, it comes up to the find add-on's, essentially the browser is saying I have none installed. None of my add-on's show up at all. I am probably not making sense here but Firefox will connect and browse the web but that's about it. The add-on's I use, such as, again, Last Pass, are not there. I DO have Windows XP SP3 and my computer is up to date. Don't know if this matters, but I also have Chrome and use some of the same extensions for it that I use for Firefox.

Revo Uninstaller is just that. A simple program(s) uninstaller. When I couldn't get rid of the Incredimail search bar, I used Revo and completely uninstalled version 15 Firefox. Before doing so I exported my bookmarks, etc to another browser.
I reinstalled Firefox, put my add-on's back, just as if it were my first time using Firefox. I had a list of add-on's and extensions and plug-ins showing up on Firefox as was normal. I logged into Last Pass and when I went to set the options, the entire form on the add-on's page was blank. The drop down menu for Last Pass had some weird icons...icon of man and woman, some kind of emoticons...not sure what they were because they weren't marked and they would not do anything once clicked.
After having to copy and paste from Last Pass Vault just to get on my various sites, I reset Firefox. Same problems. I then went to my C:/program files and removed the Mozilla Firefox folder as specified by Mozilla. I then upgraded to 16. Now I don't have any add-on's, just the search for add-ons page. When I tried to add my Last Pass, Clear Preview..etc...they installed but would not show up anywhere on Firefox. I then did another clean uninstall with Revo. I did a clean install for 16 Firefox. Same thing. None of the add-ons I put back show up. I have Windows Professional Edition XP Service Pack 3 and all updates are current. I have Zone Alarm Professional Security Firewall and anti-virus, System Mechanic, Spybot Search and Destroy. I have no idea what is causing my problems. I do use Chrome for some web surfing and I do have many of the same extensions on Chrome that I use(d) on Firefox. Would that interfere? Thanks for the prompt reply!
