Last several upgrades, I cannot PRINT. Nothing happens! Wife can print, same home network, with older version.
Neither the menu Print nor Ctrl-P will bring up a print dialog from FF. My other programs work fine. This started a couple of months ago. I update whenever possible and go to Beta as requested. Shows I'm in 6.0 and the "Beta Update Channel".
Just now, I pasted that diagnostic info and saw that advice! OH!!
Thank you, Edmeister! That HP software has been useless since the day it was installed. I don't much use that printer, now, but, when FF was printing, it would print to either network printer, as selected, when that dialog used to pop up.
SINCE posting my problem, I have determined that I can "work around" by rebooting FF in Safe Mode with none of the add-ons. I tried deleting a couple I suspected but that hasn't helped, so far. Some, as you know, don't seem delete-able unless, maybe, through Windows. So, I'll keep experimenting until I can identify which one is causing my print dialog not to appear at all. Guess I'm the only one in America with this problem! :/

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

Just updated to 8 & now I can not open any web pages as well as firefox will not close out, it still running in the background after browser was closed. I uninstalled and reinstalled as well as disabled add-ons and plugins nothing has changed, can I downgrade back to on older version?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Firefox would not load webpage despite there being an active internet connection to the computer. I know this because firefox loaded on another home computer without any issues. I reset the ip address on the computer in question through cmd.exe and this helped the issue to an extent however it take several minutes to load webpages. I can also advise tha Internet Explorer suffered exactly the same issue and it gave me an error message early when unable to load webpages, that a remote firewall may be blocking the connection. It suggested to configure the firewall to allow connections thru TCP port 80.

It sounds to me that you have a low profile, with your stats we can see if you've been having disconnections which makes the exchange raise your Noise Margin to try and increase your stabibility, but at a cost of speed, it may have been that your sync speed has recovereed, but not your IP Profile.

Can you comfirm that you have no noise on the line. Really a test by dialling 17070 and pressing option 2 for the quiet line test should be completed in the Master Socket with no other devices connected to the line. ANd also do you have a master socket with a split faceplate that you can unscrew the bottom half, if so behind there is a hidden 'test socket', it disconnects all your internal wiring so just to make sure its not a fault inside your premises.

It sounds like you are unable to print to your printer from Mac OS X Lion. I recommend the troublehsooting from the article named:

Follow these steps until the issue is addressed:

When selecting print, nothing happens to my Epson R2400
i generally print using photoshop, however this time i wanted to use aperture.
i set up everything correctly, my profile, paper size, etc. i then hit ok to print.
nothing happens.
my printer is on, my mac sees it, so does aperture. i have never had this happen before. the print window says that there are no jobs printing.

Nothing happens when I try to print if I'm using Photoshop, or Acrobat. Sometimes nothing happens in InDesign, but it worked fine with illustrator. I haven't had any printing problems with other non-adobe applications. Also Photoshop can find my scanner and scan from it just fine. The printer is an Epson all-in-one and the drivers are up to date. My os is OSX 10.9.2 but I had this problem before a recent os update.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.
