Last view

Dear team,
why not re-open the document with the last view settings,
just like in the adobe reader, so as to continue the work where it
was interrupted.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for trying out Buzzword and sending in your
comments . We are glad to see you using the Acrobat.com service.
I will forward your feedback to the team that works on the
Buzzword product so that they might consider this in their list of
features for the next release of Buzzword.
Thank you

  • Disabled last view settings

I am trying to display a pdf from simple html
    to a specific page such as <a href="test.pdf#page=55&view=Fit">Page 55</a><br>
This works fine but if I change to other pages from within the IE Browser window, exit and return utilizing this href I get returned to the last page viewed and not page 55 as needed.
If I use another href to say page 100 and then return to the href of page 55 I get the expected pages.  Problem is when I change from within the browser and return to the same href.
I have checked the original PDF preferences and last view settings is not checked.
    Using IE7
    Adobe Reader 9.4.0
Adobe Acrobat 8.2.2 to create the document

I am using Mac 10.9, by the way.

  • Preview doesn't open updated pdf on last viewed page

    Hello.
I use a program called LaTex to create pdf's which I view in the Preview app. Aesthetically I prefer Preview and don't want to change pdf viewers.
However, after changing to Yosemite recently, whenever I make a change in my file and then recompile it using LaTex, the resulting pdf reopens in Preview at the beginning of the file, which is most inconvenient if I'm doing lots of edits and want to look at how they appear in the resulting pdf. This is despite having selected the preference to open documents in Preview on the last viewed page (which does work ok for files that haven't been changed externally to Preview). Note also that before migrating to Yosemite, I didn't have this issue.
Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions on how to recover the "open on last page" functionality for updated pdf's in Preview?
    Thanks in advance.

Please provide some details; operating system, Reader version, local or online files, ...

  • "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" option not working with all documents

Said option (found under Edit/Preferences, category Documents), which works like an automatic bookmark in that it takes you back to the same place you were at when you last closed a document, is very useful, but apparently doesn't work with *all* documents.
    - Does anyone know what determines whether a given document works with this option or not?
    - Is this by design or a bug? A matter of PDF format version?
    - Is there a way to work around the problem?
I've compared two documents, only one of which works with the option, to determine what the relevant difference may be, and found two suspects (under File/Properties): the PDF version (1.5 in the document that works, 1.4 in the one that doesn't), and 'Fast Web View' ('yes' in the document that works, 'no' in the one that doesn't).
    Thanks,
    Michael

This seems to be a problem with some PDF files.
Suggested workaround: If the PDF you have allows "Save As", then try save-as to a new file. The "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" option should then work as expected (in the new file).

  • How to make Safari stop opening up with the last viewed page?

If I quit safari with "google.com", and I open it up again, "google.com" shows up.
how do i change the settings so that every time I open up safari, the homepage shows, not the last viewed page?

Close the Safari window before you quit Safari.
Or hold the shift key down when you launch Safari.
    Best.

    Hi Thomas 31,
Thank you for posting on the forums. What is the version of Acrobat you are working with?

  • Restore Last View Settings and Max Window

When I check "Restore last view settings when reopening documents", and if the window was maximized before it was last closed, the window will start at a place slightly below the top bar (where you see "file", "edit" etc.), leaving a gap between the top bar and the window.
However, if I turn on Dock hiding, this problem goes away. But I do not want to turn on Dock hiding.
Are there any way I can solve this problem? Thank you!
(I hope I am posting my question in the right place.)

  • Adobe Reader is "forgetting" the last view settings

Hello, I'm having a small problem with Adobe Reader X. I checked the "Remember last view settings" option, and it's working fine, but the problem is that if I don't open the  document for a few days, the document loses the information about the last page I was on. Is there anything that can be done about this? I'm using Windows 7, but this also happened in Windows XP and with previous versions of Adobe Reader.
    Thank you.

Are all the PDFs you read from a single source? The document author CAN (but probably shouldn't) override the default zoom, but you might be seeing that and it might be why nobody else is complaining.

  • Restore last view setting not working in version XI

When reopening documents the new version XI, Adobe keeps opening my documents on page one. Though I have gone to preferences\documents and checked the box for restoring last view setting when reopening documents. Is this a bug that needs fixing? I already uninstalled and re-downloaded the program. It still will not work correctly.

it still does not work for me. It is set to 1 minute. I have tried it in a number of pdf's. I left it longer than 1 minute and it still does not work. It does not work for any of my pdf's but it DID work in previous versions. I guess I will just go back to version 9! They should be able to fix this though. I also re-downloaded, deleted the program, and loaded it again.... still doesn't work!!!

  • Remember last view not working properly

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. Recently, the remember last view or whatever it is called is not functioning properly.
Some images that I scan, unfortunately, are scanned unside down. I will rotate it to the proper angle and assume that
acrobat will rememeber, but it doesn't. It does this only for some files. I have tried saving the new document with adjusted angle
as a new save file, but it refuses to remember. What's going on? Can someone explain? Thanks.

How did you rotate the pages?

Does anyone know the registry setting is for 'restore last view settings when reopening documents' so that you can have this item selected when using the customization wizard?  This is a setting that I would like to setup ahead of time for our user base. Thanks!

  • When I open firefox it is returning to the last viewed page instead of my homepage even though I have the settings set to clear history every time I close Firefox. I check and all of the previous history is still there and not deleted..

When I open firefox it is returning to the last viewed page instead of my homepage even though I have the settings set to clear history every time I close Firefox. I check and all of the previous history is still there and not deleted..

Make sure that Firefox closes properly and that that there are no longer Firefox or plugin-container processes left on the Processes tab in the Task Manager. Otherwise session restore will reopen the page(s) from the previous session.

  • Changing document start-up page to "last view" when document is reloaded

My computer is equipped with Windows XP, Adobe Acrobat Standard 7.0, and WinEdt 5.5. When I convert latex to pdf (using WinEdt) the pdf always comes up with the top of the first page. Only when I choose the old view (or last view - I have a German version) with "go to" I see were I was before. On an older computer, however, acrobat immediately redirects me to the part of the document viewed before. Question is how to change the settings so that I can change back and forth between pdf and Latex without always starting from page 1 in the pdf (i.e. how can I have the old view as the basic setting??).

i am using adobe acrobat 9.3.1. i checked Restore last view settings when reopening document, but choose PDF Texify from winedt, the document still open on page 1. several years ago, some older version, the document always open at the page and zoom of previous view without me setting anything.

  • Adobe reader: Edit - Preferences, Categories: Documents, Open Settings - Restore last view settings when reopening documents  :: should be enabled by default

Adobe reader: Edit -> Preferences, Categories: Documents, Open Settings -> Restore last view settings when reopening documents  :: should be enabled by default as most users are not aware of this feature and have to write down their page number some where in text file or sticky notes
