Last week Firefox began "crashing" about once a day. Today it started not responding about 5 minutes after I sign in, no matter what site I am on. My son could not do any school work (online program) because it kept freezing. My computer is protected from malware and viruses (supposedly) I've downloaded the latest version of Firefox and ran a scan, nothing shows up. Please help. Thanks!

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
You can try to decrease the value of the pref <b>network.http.max-connections</b> from 255 to a more modest setting like 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.

2013 word crashes when "save as" .Word freezes "not responding after a few minutes.
2013 word crashes when using the "save as" command. It does save the document but crashes. After working for 3 minutes or so on a document the programme will stop running with the screen frozen. Have to use the windows task manager to close.
Any ideas? Very disappointed as I have already also spent a day trying to get outlook to work using all the advice on these forums. Just not impressed. I'm I going to have the same issues with excel?Hi,

Firefox become not responsive after every 10 minutes for few seconds, and it back again.
Firefox 4 become not responding after every few minutes ( mainly 10 minutes). And it came back to its normal state within 10-15 seconds. I reinstall windows and Firefox, but same problem occur. On using chrome 11 and IE 9 I have no problem. I also check that there is no problem on using Firefox 3.
I mainly use Firefox for my web browsing, but due to Firefox 4 I totally disappointed. What should I do for now?You have an add-on installed called Internet Download Manager. It's on Mozilla's Add-on Blocklist @ https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/blocklist/ at the foot of the page.
Uninstall it by clicking the orange Firefox button, go to Add-ons and then remove it in the Extensions menu.
If the problem persists, try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your other add-ons is the culprit. -
Since updates last week Firefox crashes each time open google maps even in safe mode
Last week Firefox updated itself and there was a java update too. Since then I have been unable to access google maps within my browser, every time I get the grey background and then FF crashes. Have tried clearing cookies, safe mode, disabled the few plugins installed and a complete reinstall... same problem.
Totally fed up with thisOK tried with a new profile - same problem :-(

When I start Firefox, about 15 seconds after I start it, my Firefox freezes for about 1 minute. I found out that it is my Hotmail that makes Firefox freeze.
First I thought it was my computer, but I have 2 other girls in my class that use Hotmail and Firefox and their computer also freezes for 1 full minute.
This is very annoying, what can I do to change this?

Despite the proliferation of mobile devices and the fact that there are many of us who do a lot of international travel, content providers don't want you to have access to their products outside of your homeland. The Balkanized mentality of the DRM Dictatorship is way out of touch with the modern world.
At least Apple, to its credit, allows you to use your accounts outside of your homeland as long as you have the proper credentials for them. Most other services use the more Draconian geolocation filtering which does require you to be physically present in your homeland. For the most part, you are not allowed to leave home if you want access to your favorite entertainment! -

Outside of the contact number for that you've already used I don't know another way of direct contact. Here are some things that they may or may not of had you try that might help you. If you will go to the settings app and pick general on the right-hand side you will see accessibility. Within that you can adjust a text size make the text bowl you can also increase the contrast. You can also adjust the brightness and control panel.
As for Siri again in the settings app under general you should see Siri on the right-hand side with the switch to turn it on. If that is turned on and you're still having issues
Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.

The last week, Firefox will not load up the NEW YORK TIMES. So, I have had to use Safari to do so. If this continues, I'm going to quit using your browser, and begin using Safari all the time!
There are several other similar posts in this forum with the answers. Your post appears third in my Google search today looking for a solution so I thought I'd add the solution here as well.
It is obviously a bug in either (or both) Firefox and the NYT.
The quickest solution is to simply go to the VIEW Menu in Firefox, then the ZOOM option and choose RESET.
I use Mac and this happens in Firefox 3.6.10. It does not happen in other browsers like Safari, Chrome and Camino, and it did not occur before last week.
It has also occurred in the iOS version of Safari on iPad. Not sure how to fix it there. -
i am trying to delete a calendar that i do not want on my iPhone. i never subscribed to this mysterious calendar. now it's listed as a Mexican holidays calendar when last week it was a HK holidays calendar. this recently appeared after the last iOS update. the only options to edit this calendar are to uncheck it and/or to change the color. i want it permanently deleted. any ideas?
That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. Same thing is happening to me. Adobe has not responded to anyone about this error. It appears that Abobe XI is not compatible with IE 11. I do not get this error when I use Chrome or Firefox. Only IE 11 does this. I have tried clearing cache and cookies. I even uninstalled and re-installed IE 11. It is still doing it. I am surprized that a company like Adobe would just ignore our posts and leave us hanging this this.
Error message is FAILED TO GET DISPATCH FROM IBRWSR2. Then when you click on it the next error message says: PHTML IS NULL. You have to click this error message twice and then the PDF finally loads. Happened every time

As a last resort I will try uninstalling the Adobe Reader XI and install Adobe Reader 10 instead. It seems to work ok. But when I try to install version 10 the Adobe site tries to install XI. Any ideas?
