Latest Adobe Flash update for IE - ActiveX 12.0.0.38 - Installation job encountered some failures. Error = 0x80240022.
Hi, just wondering if anyone is seeing these errors with the latest version of Adobe Flash for IE? I've never had this issue before, but have seen it mentioned in previous discussions - don't seem relevant here though.
I'm using SCUP catalogs. Only affects some machines (all machines are W7 SP1 x32). The problem machines have the same GPs applied to them as every other one. They can also download and install all other updates fine - i.e. the latest MS patch Tuesday windows
and word update, and adobe reader 11.0.06 update.
The update actually installs, its just that SCCM doesn't seem to think it is, and it continues trying to install it - and this error message keeps appearing in the logs.
Apparently Adobe have fixed this:
"An updated SCUP catalog has been posted to the distribution page,
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html."
Not working yet for me, but at least have acknowledged the issue.

I am having trouble running videos through Safari but not Google Chrome. All I get is a black screen. I have the latest adobe flash update and have enabled plug ins. any suggestions?
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Not empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Now try a video. -
McAfee software forced install with latest Adobe flash update 12/26/14
So it seems that Adobe has once again chosen to go the route of not even giving an opt-out option for whatever 'software' they bundle their Adobe Flash update with. I fail to see how this practice creates anything but mistrust for these products from a consumers perspective. Having worked in IT and having had to deal with questions like "Why is my browser changed/messed up?" or "Why did X show up on my computer and is now spamming me to buy something?" it's frustrating knowing that in many cases it's large companies that are to blame. In this case it seems even more calculated coming right after a major holiday when inevitably more PC's and more inexperienced users enter the market.
I personally will never use McAfee or Google Chrome or (heaven forbid) Ask.com related software if this is how they intend to do business. I'd like to think that large businesses like Adobe would have better marketing strategies for their sponsors that don't create dissent and distrust among consumers.Adobe's Flash Player update workflow does present the choice of also getting some "added value" software (e.g., AV - Search Engine stuff for browsers - etc.).
One simply unticks the boxes on the step that displays the choice.
Oh yeah, ya do gotta look rather than do a fast click through which will result in a gotcha eh.
One "gotcha" back in the day was all it took for me to "STAR" these sort of updates.
No "gotchas" since.
You'll observe similar with other software package updates (e.g., Java, etc.). -
Genuine Adobe flash update for mac?
Hi, I've just heard about some kind of virus or malware that poses as an adobe flash update and I noticed excessive prompts to update over the last few weeks so I'm wondering if someone can please confirm whether the update prompt in the attached screenshot is genuine. Thanks!
Well that's just annoying... when I try to attach the 115kb TIFF file i get the error message "[The content type of this image is not allowed.]"

It seems that your image attachment is not allowed. Try pasting a different file format.
Also, try asking this question in Flash forum. Somebody there will be able to answer you better. -

Installing Adobe Flash Update?
Anybody have a good way to use ARD to run the latest Adobe Flash update to 60 desktops? It's not a package so you can't use the Install Package tool. I don't want to login to each desktop individually if I don't have to.
Thanks.Install it on your master computer, and use LANRev InstallEase to create a package from the newly installed files. Push that package out to the desktops.

I can't watch movies , asking for adobe flash. After installing the latest adobe flash still doesn't show movies.
The other day, there was someone here who figured after quite a while that he had plug-ins disabled in Safari. He could have installed Flash a hundred times but never get it to work.
Of course, you do have plug-ins enabled. Yes? Quick double-check? Safari -> Preferences -> Security tab -> checkmark at "Enable plug-ins"... -
My mac is the OS X 10.8.3. I tried to update the latest Adobe flash player and kept getting 'Actionlist not found.' I have uninstalled, enabled and disabled plug-ins and am still unable to download the update and now have no flashplayer at all. Help!
PS I'm still new to Macs so the more broken down the better.Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.42 is the most recent version from Adobe. It is a pre-release version. I am using it without any noticeable problems.
The current stable version is Download 11.7.700.169. -

Enable it.

Adobe AIR update for Flash CS3
Hi, i'm having some trouble installing the adobe air update
for flash CS3.
I've installed it like 5 times, it always says that the
installation is complete.
But when i go to flash and try to make an AIR file it's not
in the list, the only things i see are those:

I would like to update the latest Adobe Flash as mine is outdated, but it says it can't install as my antivirus software is preventing it and I need to allow it. My problem is I don't know what my antivirus software is or how to find it on my Mac OS X 10.9.5 to adjust the settings. Help

Unable to update latest adobe flash player keep getting a message process not elevated from the host
i cannot watch news or sports video clips . i keep getting told i need to download the latest adobe flash player. when i try to do so i click save file and then click run . after a few seconds i get a message from host which reads process not elevated, i have also tried to uninstall my old version of adobe but i am unable to do so
