Latest Adobe Update causes IE 9 to stop working

Two days ago I was prompted to update my Flash Player.  After installing the update my browser, Internet Explorer 9, will shut stop working and I get the message:
"Internet Explorer has Stopped Working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you is a solution is available."
Then I get taken to the error screen where it says: "When a website causes a failure or crash, Internet Explorer attempts to restore the site. It stops after two tries to avoid an endless loop."
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the flash player, I have reset IE back to default settings.  This has not happened before and it was only after I did the last update.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.  We're aware of the issue, and working diligently to get it resolved.
    The issue appears to be limited to older Flash 8/ActionScript 2 content.  If you have access to the ActionScript source, there are a couple workarounds here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4841531#4841531#4841531.

  • LR3 update caused my LR5 to stop working

    I did a dumb thing.  I have a duplicate of an older computer on my current computer and when I clicked on an old image it opened in LR3 and informed me updates were available.  I didn't notice it was LR3 and went ahead an did an update.  When I closed out of this and went into Windows 7 my current LR5 file wouldn't open? Can someone help?

    Whatever you did in LR3 has no effect on LR5. None.
    Please tell us the symptoms regarding LR5.

  • System update caused DVD burner to stop working

    After I updated to 10.4.5, I lost the ability to burn dvds. I can read them just fine but when i try to burn, its a no go. I thought updating to 10.4.6 would have fixed but no such luck.
    anyone else having this issue?

  • Photoshop 3D Extrusion stopped working after latest Adobe update

    I have Creative Cloud subscription and Photoshop 3D Extrusion used to work fine (though slow).
    After latest update several days ago it stopped working, displaying an error message instead:
    "The 3D features require that 'Use Graphics Processor' is enabled in the Performance preferences. Your video card must meet the minimum requirements and you may need to check that your driver is working correctly"
    The Graphic Processor is enabled, and the driver is working fine.
    Is this a bug or a "feature" in new version? How to make it work as before the update?

    When Adobe sold me the Cloud it did not tell me that 3D features were not going to work.
    The last update was applied only to Cloud version of Adobe products. It's not Photoshop specific. Something was wrong with the cloud software update.
    I expect Adobe to fix the bug and make 3D features work again.

    I recently purchased a new desktop computer and installed Adobe CS3 Master Edition on it and I get the following error:

    Out of the entire suite of tools only Photoshop will not launch. The weird thing is i also had the same Adobe programs installed on my laptop and I have not made any installation updates to that machine and i am getting the same error. I have always installed the same software on my two home machines with no problem until now. Any help is appreciated.

    What does the detailed crash report say?
    And have you updated your video card drivers from the GPU maker's website? (most crashes on launch are due to bugs in out of date video card drivers)

    Without the actual crash logs nobody can say, but chances are that your graphics hardware is to blame, so update the driver...

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

    After trying many different fixes including uninstalling flash player  and unsuccessfully trying to reinstall it, would consistently stop  loading at about 57 percent.  Either there are remains of registry keys interfering or your site or my computer has been attacked.  No malware showing after checking with antivirus.  Seen same message on other computers.  Had to restore computer to earlier date but lost some contact info in the process in  Skype.  Possible problem from trying to install internet tv software, but restored to previous point there to.  Computer works ok but slowed on internet considerably but message shows continuously daily need a better solution or let your site analyze my flash player. What can I do?

    thank you for your info, I did edit the question to show I was using vista (business to be specific).  I will try again with some afterthoughts.  Will enable Java first.  I remember that was a problem in a  previous update, I thought that was always running and go through the steps again.  I don't feel comfortable messing with the registry and if you can add some advice on how to deal with that safely that would be appreciated also.  Thank you so much for your quick response.  Also, isupgrade to explorer 10 recommended for vista or is it suppose to accommodate windows 8.  I don't want to be a beta tester before they work out all the kinks sincerelyadobelougLou Grubin
