Latest and correct BIOS for G560

The Drivers download sections says that the latest/current BIOS for G560 is V2.15, from Feb. 14, 2011, 29CN38WW. How can I tell whether I have this version (fully) installed? If I check it with Everest, it says "29CN38WW(V2.15)" under BIOS version, which is OK. However, the BIOS Date says January 28, 2011, which is different from what's published on the website.
Why the discrepancy in the date?

Yes, that's the picture I was referring to. If you take it literally, it's showing that position two (the UEFI bios) is towards the side of the card with the power connectors (on the right, if you're looking at the side with the fan). However, while only one of the R9 280X cards I have is labeled on the motherboard, it shows position 2 as being towards the end of the card with the video connectors.
To state that more simply, I suppose, the picture on the page you linked implies that the polarity of the switch shown is in relative to when you're looking at the card from the fan side. I think what's actually going on here is that the picture of the card with the fan is just intended to show where the switch is; the actual close-up of the switch is actually from the side with the motherboard visible (in other words, position 2 is towards the end of the card that is visible at the back of the computer case).

Hello, can you please post the latest legacy and uefi bios for my MSI "R9-280X 3G BF4"
    Serial Number: 602-V277-28SB1311072602
Reason: I'm experiencing flickering issues and both my first and second bios are flashed with custom ones.

Thank you very much, but which one is legacy and which one is uefi?
    I got two files - TV277MH.330 and TV277MS.330

  • Latest uefi and legacy bios for R9 280X Gaming 3G

By working too late with too little sleep, I'm afraid I've done something pretty stupid while trying to flash two separate R9 280X Gaming 3G cards; I've corrupted both the legacy and hybrid bios on both cards. And (wait for it) I don't have backups of the original ROMs. Fortunately, I have a third card I can run the machine off of while I flash the hosed cards, but I need the ROM files. Could someone please point me towards the proper legacy and hybrid ROM files for these cards? The serial numbers, in case it matters, are 602-V277-34SB1402014989 and 602-V277-44SB1312123180.
I promise I'll be more responsible in the future. Thanks!

  • What other BIOS for G560 ?

    Hi,
I bought the Lenovo G560 i3 with FreeDOS because I did not want to use Windows (besides, my old XP does not work on it, probably because it's a 32 bit version).
However, some OS don't work - well, they work but they just won't boot by itself without the help of a special boot disk and some of the hardware are not activated afterwards like the micro and the webcam.
I suspect this has something to do with the poor BIOS of my G560 model.
So my question is: Can I use a different BIOS from Lenovo to get things working?
If yes, what other version could I flash?
    Thanks for any help.

there's no official bios available right now for g560.
try to use 64 bit operation systems.

  • Correct BIOS for MS-6702?

I just wanted to make sure I downloaded the correct BIOS before I screw up my computer.
I have a MSI K8T Neo mainboard. I downloaded the latest BIOS from the following page:
    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/bios/bos/spt_bos_detail.php?UID=496&kind=1
It says "1.x~2.x BIOS cannot be used on K8T Neo-F (PCB2.0)" but I have NO IDEA if I have an -F mainboard or not. How can I seperate an MSI K8T Neo-F from a MSI K8T Neo mainboard??
    Thanks,
    Scipio

    Thanks for the advice.
Well .... in my signature is my "old" MSI K8T Neo mainboard. It broke down about three months ago (already the second time I had to replace my MSI K8T ....). I don't know what BIOS my new mainboard has but it seems to be somewhat old. PC Alert does not show any temperatures for example so I came to the conculsion it might be a good idea to flash my BIOS.

  • What's the correct bios for my Satellite A100? Is PSAA9E = PSAA9 ?

    Hi,
I wanna do a BIOS Update. But If I go to the Toshiba-driversite: http://de.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_bios.jsp and choose Notebook-->Satellite-->A series there are listed:
    A100 (PSAA2)
    A100 (PSAA8)
    A100 (PSAA9)
    A100 (PSAAN)
    A100 (PSAAR)
At the undersite of my Laptop is printed: PSAA9E. Is this the same as PSAA9 ?

    Hi mate,
dont worry and download the bios for PSAA9 since toshiba cuts the last digits from the model number because the last digit probably the region or country describes. I am not sure, but what I am sure is that PSAA9E definetively PSAA9 is.
    Cheers

  • [Request] Latest (or alternative) bios for R9 280X Gaming 3G

I'm having artifacts, graphical errors and crashes in games, in desktop and when watching videos, so basically all the time. I have tried 13.12 official and 13.11 beta -drivers provided by AMD and the one provided by MSI, no help there. I could try newer/older/some other bios for this card before sending RMA.
    Serial number: 602-V277-38SB1401020604
    Current BIOS: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/43449874/Tahiti.rom

    Current setup:
    CPU: 4670k
    MB: Asus Z87-A
    PSU: Seasonic x-560
    RAM: 16GB Corsair 1600MHz 1.5V
    SSD: Samsung 128GB 840 pro
I have OC'd the CPU, will try later with stock settings. I could also give a try for removing one set of RAM or setting it to 1333MHz. I can try the R9 in another computer in couple of days when a PSU for my 2nd machine arrives.
Edit: Forgot to mention, the system is completely stable with another GPUs I have tried.
Update: Removed one 8GB kit of ram, set the rest to 1333MHz. Set CPU to stock speed and voltages. Nothing changed, still artifacts.

  • Windows 10 and Drivers/BIOS for HP Pavilion DV6 7112HE Entertainment Notebook

Hello, I recently updated to Windows 10. I wanted to know if HP is working with Intel on releasing new drivers? Also, how about a Windows 10 BIOS update for my laptop? I do not have the option to revert back to my previous OS, it would be nice if anyone can shed light on this issue.

That is where you will find a updated driver from the hardware manfacture site not from HP at this point in time. UE wrote:
Updated HP Pavilio DV6 yesterday to Windows 10 and Wireless stopped working. F12 button stuck to orange and cannot turn on Wireless. My laptop has Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030 adapter and there is no new Windows 10 driver software available. Still searching for the solution...This is part of the problem with upgrading to Windows 10 some of your hardware will be compatible and some of it will not be. What you need to do is install the last Windows drivers again into Windows 10 and if it works you will know. I am aware that drivers for Intel are released through Intel, and pushed through Windows Update. However, the issue at hand is also the BIOS which has nothing to do with Intel, hence the topic title. Thanks for your response.

  • How to find the latest BIOS for my T60P?

    Dear Experts,
I own a T60P 2007FBG which I like very much cause it still works like a charm. I'm interested in uploading the latest BIOS but, unfortunately, "my" model type isn't listed on Lenovo's website:
    http://www.bilder-hochladen.net/files/12b4-c4-3c77.jpg
It would be very appreciated if somebody showed me the way to the latest and correct BIOS for my T60P.
    Many thanks in advance

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    They all work for me.  Entering 2007FBG leads me to the following;
My guess is that you need to clear your selection on the support site before trying the quick path or following my other link.  By the way, the drivers on the linked to page will be relevant to your system, 2007 is the important relevant part in the MTM as far as drivers and BIOS are concerned.

  • [Request] Newest bios/ln2 bios for r9 290x lightning 4g

As tittle says im looking for regular bios and ln2 bios for r9 290x
Also got a questions about it.
Is 290x lightning uefi compatible and what exactly are meanings of GOP and rest of stuff type bioses.
    GPU-z shows this:
and when i hover my mouse over it says its working in PCI-Express x1 v1.1 mode yet it also says it supports x16 v3.0.
    Thx ahead.
S/N: 602-V307-010B1405xxxxxx  - don't know if i have to put whole serial or is this enough?
    //speedy.sh/hTRNt/Hawaii.rom - saved under LN2 mode
//speedy.sh/GQZEM/Hawaii.rom - saved under normal mode
-just add http: to link for rom (it doesn't allow me to put whole link...)

You are already using the latest vbios versions (TV307MH.101 normal vbios and TV307MH.111 LN2). Both vbios versions are UEFI GOP versions ready for UEFI Fastboot being GOP compliant (Graphics Output Protocol).
As for the PCI-E reading this is due to power saving mode limiting the PCI-E transfer rate. If you use GPU-Z click on the question mark next to the bus interface reading and it will start a render test and make the PCI-E slot work in load mode.

  • I cannot find bios for Product name: HP ENVY TS 17 Notebook PC

all attempts to paste the product number or product name (copied from Help Assistant) failed to find my Envy M7-0j0dx laptop. the drives page doesn't list bios, and since Help Assistant failed to install the driver after downloading, i need to upgrade the bios myself.
so how do i get the correct bios for my laptop?

    MC,
Good call - if all is well, leave it alone.
It is this Expert's opinion that you should not depend on HP Support Assistant when it comes to BIOS updates.
Depending on other factors in the system at the time the HPSA tries to hit your system with an update of this type, the results might be ... other than expected.
You might set HPSA to "Notify" to prevent it from trying to update your BIOS.
ONLY update the BIOS when you see an update in your computer's webpage AND that update can be used to provide a fix for an issue you have discovered in your system.  In other words:  If your computer is happy, do not update the BIOS just because you think it would be a nice thing to do to it.
If you decide to update your BIOS,
Make sure ALL your backups are current and complete - this means everything you need to restore the system in the event that something goes wrong.
Disconnect USB drives and any other unnecessary hardware.  Keyboard and mouse can stay connected.
Always run in AC power when updating the BIOS, never on battery
Do not touch the system while the update is in progress
Optional: leave wireless button ON, but turn off the router (to make sure there are no interruptions)
    Happy Computing!
    Click the Kudos Star!
It is a great “Thank You” to the HP Experts who are here to help!
    Kind Regards,
