The official name for this patch is:
Oracle Applications Technology 11i.ATG_PF.H.delta.7 (RUP7) (Patch 6241631)
In other words, this is the seventh consolidated rollup of patches released on top of 11i.ATG_PF.H. For the Oracryptoanalysts out there who like to track nomenclature variants of these things, this patch is also referred to as the Applications Technology Group (ATG) Family Pack H Rollup 7.

we have tried to adding $APPLRGF(whole patch) to PRL5LIB path. We are getting the above error during the pre-requisites Why to add $APPLRGF? Is there something about this environment variable mentioned in the patch document? Source the env file should be enough.

Designer DevelopmentYes, that is correct. However, SCM is no longer being released as a standalone product. You should use Oracle Designer (which includes the Repository and all SCM functionality) instead.

Cant Open Oracle Apps 11i Forms after installing latest JRE
We are currently on Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2. I had to install latest JRE 1.6 Update23 to be able to work on BI Publisher Templates and now I can't open any of the Oracle Forms under eBusiness Suite. IE just crashes, doesnt show any message on JInitiator Console either. Same issue with Mozilla Firefox browser.
FYI..I have a colleague who is able to work on both...BI Publisher Template Mgr and Oracle Fin Forms with latest JRE installed..So dont think its a server issue, its just my client setup. Any help is appreciated.

Do you meet the requirements in (Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite 11i [ID 285218.1])?

I own an iPad (latest/64 GB/WiFi+3G) that has iOS 6.1.3 . The TED Talks app that was OK till recently now crashes each time it opens. I think this is after a recent update. I removed it from my iPad & re-installed it but its no use. Can anyone help?

Install instructions for Search Modeler and integrating with Apps 11i
Below are all the steps I took for creating integrating Search Modeler with an Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 ATG RUP 7 instance called ERNIE.
Much thanks to Oracle Support ( Rajesh Ghosh, Vikas Soolapani and Roger Ford), as this simply wouldn't have been possible without them.
There are a few things in this document that may not be pertinent to your environment if you're doing this. I've made attempts to clarify those possibly optional sections in the documentation.
I've broken the document down into the following multiple parts
o Setting up a new RedHat 4.8 x86 server called ausSEARCHdev (The server is in AUStin, TX, is dedicated to SEARCH, and is for our DEV environment)
o SES (Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.2 install
o SES 10.1.8.4 patchset install
o SES CPU patch apply
o Standalone OC4J and ADF installation
o Search Modeler installation and configuration
o Configure ERNIE Apps instance to be on valid self-signed SSL certificate
o Import ERNIE SSL certificate into SES and Search Modeler
using aussearchdev initially

you can modify the logLevel from the default of 4 to 2 to get better debug data. No services need to be restarted, it will become active with the next crawl.

There are a few things in this document that may not be pertinent to your environment if you're doing this. I've made attempts to clarify those possibly optional sections in the documentation.
I've broken the document down into the following multiple parts
o Setting up a new RedHat 4.8 x86 server called ausSEARCHdev (The server is in AUStin, TX, is dedicated to SEARCH, and is for our DEV environment)
o SES (Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.2 install

o SES CPU patch apply
o Standalone OC4J and ADF installation
o Search Modeler installation and configuration
o Configure ERNIE Apps instance to be on valid self-signed SSL certificate
o Import ERNIE SSL certificate into SES and Search Modeler
using aussearchdev initially

you can modify the logLevel from the default of 4 to 2 to get better debug data. No services need to be restarted, it will become active with the next crawl.

901-674-1290Staged APPL_TOP can be used to apply maintenance packs, so ideally you should be able to use it to apply ATG RUP 6. For the AD minipack, you should apply patch (5161676) - 11i.AD.I.5 as a pre-req. patch before you apply ATG RUP 6.

I am new to Oracle APPS, and am working oracle apps 11i 11.5.10.2 with 10.2.5.0, the database and application was upgraded by previous dba. which left almost 3-4 months before.
now my question is i want to have a performance tuning for Oracle apps environment, can you please suggest some key points for starting with and some good links for future usage.
Other thing is i have used find command on my linux box and found many log files which are greater than 1000K on apps tier (forms/reports/web), and similiarly db tier (db/admin/concurrent).
can i just remove all these logfiles using os (rm) command and is it feasible with production environment on running mode or is it not feasible and i should use some other ways/etc.

Tuning is something that require more analysis less action, first you need to answer:-
1) Why do you need tuning? is it proactive or some incident happend?
2) Where are you facing issues? i.e. which module, form, report or whole application.
3) Number of users facing issues? i.e. is it single user, user at one location or all users.
4) Has something changed in past that might have triggered this need?
Theri are various components involved in tuning that start from :-
1) user machine
2) network
3) Application tier.
4) Database tier.
Application tier can be further divided into:-
1) Apache server(JVM, modplsql, jserv etc etc
2) Form Server
3) Concurrent processing server
4) Discovered if using,
5) XML publisher..
and like wise other component using.
If you are looking to tune then i believe start from application tier first, pick one by one componets, like if your users are facing issues with login then use note that i have provided, if users are not satisifed with time taken to complete concurrent request then you might have to tune it and likewise.

All of our pdf reports give signal 4 error. I have logged an SR and consulted for DBA help but we are not nearing any solution. Since weekend so much thing has changed in database, so my question is can I return from backup of ONLY APPLICATIONS I took before I began any prerequisites of ATG 7? The database won't be restored, only applications. I know this is a weird question but we are very desperate right now.
The answer is probably NO since I think tables and data are affected by patches, but anyway I need to hear it. Also how long and hard would it be to revert all those patches to the beginning or until the error stops?

Can you find any errors in the CM/Database log files?
Do you have any invalid objects in the database?
Have you relinked all the executable files via adadmin?
Have you applied all the patches in (Known Issues On Top of 11i.ATG_PF.H.delta.7 (RUP7) - 6241631 [ID 858801.1]) after applying ATG RUP7?
The answer is probably NO since I think tables and data are affected by patches, but anyway I need to hear it. Also how long and hard would it be to revert all those patches to the beginning or until the error stops?As you already know the answer, this is not supported as your application patch level will not match the database patch level. There is also no supported way to rollback the application patches except restoring ALL the database/application files from the backup which was taken before you applied those patches.

Performance issue after application of patch ATG RUP 7
Dear Friends,
my env is Solaris SPARC 10 with 11.5.10.2 (10.2.0.4). I had applied upgraded developer 6i to 6.0.28 and applied ATG RUP7 patch last night and ever since the performance of the application is mighty slow. The concurrent programs take longer to run. The forms takes too much time to load(more than twice the time it used to than before). I can always see a load on the server level. I tried Gathering SCHEMA statistics for all users and its been running for the past 10 hours now. Could someone point me in the right direction as to what could have gone wrong. All the pre-req patches and post req patches have been applied as per the various docs.

it worked finally i gave a high number 76 and it worked with out any problem also this time i gave loop back adapter an ip address i just remember now that i was not giving an ip to my loop back adapter i gave as below
ip : 10.10.10.10
subnet : 255.255.255.0
and made my host file look like as
127.0.0.1 localhost
10.10.10.10 hassan.com hassan
then i tested the ping by pinging hassan.com and the reply came from 10.10.10.10
and also i disabled my wireless network card before running adcfgclone
and it worked ALLHAMDOLLILAH :)

i am cloning oracle apps 11i
i have run preclone before copying the db and app tiers
oracle apps version 11.5.10.2
DB 9.2.0.6.0
OS Windows 2003 32 bit with sp1
i have installed all the pre req
that are
MKS TOOLKIT
VC++
XML Parser
java sdk 6
now when i am running adcfgclone i am getting this below error and two java virtual machine launcher prompts which are
"Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from
D:\proddb\92267d~1.0\appsutil\clone\jlib\CLASSE~1.JAR"
after i press ok then 2nd prompt come as this for java virtual machine launcher prompt
"Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from

and after pressing ok it open automatically this zip file
D:\neproddb\9.2.0\appsutil\clone\jlib\xmlparserv2.zip

Registering Forms in Oracle Apps 11i
Hi hussein,
This is the docs for registering an Oracle Form in Oracle Apps 11i.
To Register a custom form in Oracle Applications, take the following steps.
(As practice, copy the form FNDRSRUN.fmx under the $FND_TOP/forms to a file
called RUNRPT.fmx. The form RUNRPT.fmx will now be used in the following steps.)
1.Log into the Applications Developer responsibility
2.Navigate to Application > Form
3.Enter the form name under the "Form" column
RUNRPT
4.Enter the Application under the "Application" column using the list of value
button, or the "List of Values" function under the "Edit" menu option.
Application Object Library
5.Enter a name for the form under the "User Form Name" column
My Report Run Form
6.Enter a description for the form under the "Description" column

My question is, how do I run the form in the Oracle Apps? After registering it.

For report we are attaching concurrent program to responsibility but here form function must be attached to Menu.
My question is, how do I know if a form has a function that needs to be registered?

Where does SSO information gets stored in Apps 11i
Hi,
I installed Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2. This has been further integrated with Oracle Single Sign On server (Oracle iAS 10.1.2.0.2).
Does any one know where does the SSO infrormation gets stored in Apps, i.e. is there any table which stores these details? How does Apps come to know where to look for SSO server ?

How does the instance comes to know that it is now single sign-on enabled and has to redirect to the SSO server rather than LocalLogin.jsp.txkrun.pl and AutoConfig should make all the necessary changes to the various configuration files (Apache httpd.conf and mod_osso.conf, Oracle AS ias.properties files, etc). As Hussein states, there should be no need to manually modify aplogon.html. Changes there will be overwritten the next time you (or adpatch) run AutoConfig, anyway.
Vikram Das has written a [useful and thorough treatment|http://oracleappstechnology.blogspot.com/2007/08/apps-11i-login-flow.html] of what goes on in the course of logging in to an 11i system that is integrated with SSO.
It's also possible that you have stale/corrupt JSPs cached on the web server; a simple restart of Apache will not necessarily fix this. Have you tried using ojspCompile.pl (in $FND_TOP/patch/115/bin) to recompile some of the JSPs associated with the login process?
