Latest backup doesn't show up after iOS5 update

Last night I went though the progression to upgrade my iphone4 to iOS5:
1. Sync my iphone (running 4.3.3 I believe) in itunes (~version 10.3) while downloading itunes 10.5 in the background. No problems detected
2. Update itunes to 10.5. No problems.
3. Download and installed iOS5 to my phone. During install got an error saying something like "backup could not be completed, cancel or continue". I continued since I assumed I had a fresh backup from step 1 above.
4. After successful upgrade to iOS5, the only restore options are from backups that are from ~9 months ago!
Obviously in the 9 months since the most recent backup that iTunes detects I have taken lots of pictures, made new contacts, etc.
Am I completely out of luck here? What happened to the backup I made (with no errors detected) right before updating to iOS5???
Is there any chance iTunes 10.5 isn't seeing the backup I just made because the backup was made with iTunes 10.3?
Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated, there are tons of pictures that have sentimental value that appear to be lost as of now.

You can launch Extension Manager CS6 and manually remove the extension, and try to install it agian. If it still does not work, you can send the zxp file of your extension to [email protected] If it is too large, you can send the mxi file or manifest file only.
BTW, you can also post your questions to InDesign forum( http://forums.adobe.com/community/indesign ).

First of all, not sure to reach the perfect spot here but have no clue on a better place, so feel free to point me towards the good forum if needed.
I have made a InDesign CS6 Extension which worked fined at some client's place. They updated InDesign and since then the extension menu no longer appears within InDesign. The menu itself is not hidden in the menus preferences and yet it's not here.
Does anyone have ever experienced this ? Any workaround ?

\Based on other forum users' posts, it seems like all you need to do is Restore the phone from your latest backup, and that should "refresh" your phone's appraisal of its data storage.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

After ios5 update, iCal week view Oct 2-8 has 2 Saturdays?

Is anyone else having problems with iCal week view on iPad after ios5 update?
Two major changes have occurred...
1. Week view used to start on Monday, now Sunday (and can't change it back).
2. If you look at the week October 2-8, 2011 there are 2 Saturdays and no Friday or following Saturday...
Any ideas? Is this a wait for ios5.1 issue?

If you are using a Mac, go to Settings>Software Update ... check for any updates, and update all.
Chances are you are not using iTunes 10.5, which is required to sync iOS 5.
If youare using a PC, suggest you uninstall your iTunes, download fresh iTunes 10.5 from Apple.com/itunes and install it.

The ‘Welcome to Firefox’ page that shows up after an update is installed has been coming up when ever I start up Firefox since I did the last update to 18.0.1, several days ago. How do I get it to stop?

The problem turned out to be an error on the prefs.js file where one or two of the parameters with the current version number were not properly updated, so the browser always thought I was opening it for the first time on a new version. I edited the version number in those parameters to agree with the version number in the Help/About dropdown and the problem went away. It has been a while now and I do not recall which were the faulty parameters, but here are the ones in my current prefs.js file that refer to the browser version (currently 21.0 for me):

Flash CC doesn't start up after last update

Flash CC doesn't start up after last update. It said "Training en zelfstudie" (Training and self-stufy in Dutch) for the update.
Everything was working fine before the update, now if I try to start-up Flash solo,
it says: "Flash werkt niet meer" (Flash has stopped working), and quits.
As you can probably tell from the message, I'm on Windows 7.
Now here is interesting info: if I double click a previous movie, then Flash starts up fine and loads the previous movie.
However when I close it and the screen that should appear is the "new movie" dialog, flash hangs again.
So obviously something went wrong installing the new update, or the update doesn't work properly.
I'm now working with my pre-cc flash5.5 version, which I re-installed to avoid crashing flash every time I close a file.
My questions:
1- Where do I log this problem? (Or am I in the right place?)
2- Can I re-install the previous version, which worked fine? (I can live without tutorials etc.)
3- Can I try to re-install this version if the above is not possible and how do I go about doing that?

What fixed the problem for me was just reinstalling Flash CC. I thought I'd give it a try, because I couldn't find a message of anyone experiencing the same problem.
So I used the control panel to uninstall Flash, then I tried reinstalling.
Creative Cloud kept saying Flash is up to date, so you can't reinstall. If you click on the gear and choose Exit and then restart Creative Cloud it will take a few seconds, but the it will see the situation as it is and you can reinstall Flash.
After the reinstall the issue was gone.
Thanks for the other solutions, I think this is a handy resource for rolling back Flash if I ever do need it
and gives me more confidence in the creative cloud product.
Maybe Adobe will pick it up and make it easier for us 'normal' creative-cloud users to
pick which version we want. Like you can do in CVS systems.

After ios5 update, I am not getting any sound when I play music.

After ios5 update, I am not getting any sound when I play music (iphone speakers or headphones). I get sound from games, previewing songs in iTunes, etc. Any idea why? I've resynced and shut down my phone and that didnt help.

because i am facing the below issue in my car.
the phone minimizes the volume of airplay and the ringing to 0 when connecting to a device (BT headset or car kit)

When you look at the storage usage of the iPod in iTunes (the colored bargraph) , how much is in the "other" category? If very large yu will have to restore you riPod to get it down to is normal less than about 1/2 GB.

Disconnected from what? the computer? Did you connect to the computer again, launch iTunes and then do as I described above?
You have selected all of the apps to sync - put checkmarks in all of the boxes next to the app names and have the Sync Apps heading checked as well?

Skype window doesn't show up after logging in

After I log in to Skype I see the icon show up in my task bar but the window doesn't show up and clicking on the icon doesn't do anything.
And the times when the window DOES show up after signing in, it's not responding.
Is there a way to fix this? I have the latest version of Skype and am using Windows 8.1

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool (32-bit version).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.

After ios5 update My Ipod keeps crashing, and the internet stops but shows wifi sign

Well, this all happened after the Ios5 update to my ipod touch 4th gen. The problems are that when im using my wifi, it just stops as if im not getting any reception, but it still shows the wifi sign on the top left corner. A temporary fix for this is to go to settings and put my ipod on airplane mode off and on to get it to work for like 5 minutes. Its really annoying when watching videos or on facebook, etc. The second problem that I've been having is that certain apps keep crashing on me, one that does it the most is safari, it seems to crash all the time for me and now my facebook, news apps, among others all seem to crash. I dont know if this is a problem with the update, but it sure seems like it. Is there any way to fix this?
