Latest debug version crashing in Firefox a lot

Hello,
The last debug version gave me no problems in Firefox.  But the current debug version crashes if I start tracing through code randomly.
I'm not sure if this is Flash debug or Firefox update.
Anyone else experiencing this?
,Jim

Actually this answer didn't fix my crashes!
I still crash in Firefox when I hit(not sure the name for this), one of those windows that says dismiss all.
I had back to back crashes in something that in FB 4.0, I could just click dismiss all.

  • Latest Flash version crashing both Firefox and IE

    Hello.
Been using Flash in both IE and Firefox for years with no major problems until the last update a little over a week ago. Now, whenever I am watching video for more than about 5 minutes, the process for either browser's memory grows steadily way way up from where it normally is - and where it started (and where it used to stay) - and eventually crashes the player, the browser and freezes the entire computer. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Flash and it hasn't helped. I stopped using Explorer a long time ago and switched to Firefox but went back and checked to see if it would be any different using that browser -figuring it might just be a Firefox issue, but the same thing happens. So I just downloaded Chrome and will try and see what happens with that - but am very troubled, since this has caused me great unhappiness and stress over the last week.
So the problems seem to be with 15.0.0.152 / 167
Any suggestions? Is this a known issue? Thanks.
Windows XP - all up to date. No other issues. System is fine. Have run all sorts of system checks and malware scans and it shows up clean.
    Thanks again.

Same thing happens with Chrome. So all three different browsers - same problem with flash.
Was trying to watch a 4 hour long live stream of a game tonight - and needless to say, having to deal with a crash and have page file skyrocket every 5 minutes was not fun.

  • InDesign CS4 Server (Debug version) crashing for XMLCreateElementCmd

    Hi All,
I am trying to create an empty tag element in a document using CreateElement method of IXMLElementCommands.
    Utils<IXMLElementCommands>()->CreateElement(wTagName,kInvalidUID,parentRef,childCnt,&tagXM LRef,kFalse);
where wTagName is th widestring containing the Tag name, parentref is tha parent reference, childCnt is the index in parent.
The server crashes at this point in debug build saying
    XMLCreateElementCmd::SetUpTarget: nil DB
    Command::SetTarget(): nil db pointer.
Any ideas what could be the reason or where am I going wrong.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Jasmine Shaikh

parentRef is the XMLReference of the root element  of the document. And I am able to create an empty element properly under the <Root> element by this code in the Release build. But the server crashes while shutting down that's why tried building the plugin in the debug version.
Anyways. The problem has been resolved (Server not crashing at this point but somewhere else now . Will have to look into it ).
I added another boolean parameter(doVerify) for debug build. The create element statement looks like this now.
    Utils<IXMLElementCommands>()->CreateElement(wTagName,kInvalidUID,parentRef,childCnt,&tagXM LRef,kFalse);
    Thanks,
    Jasmine

  • FP 10 debugging version crashes Browsers

Any time I am playing video on youtube it crashes my Browsers
with win32 exception error. Any Browser is the same.
Regular player seems to work fine. I am running Windows 2003
Server. Any idea why that is happening?

    oh ok
so please check the default process identity of ASP.NET
    1. Open IIS manager.
    2. Expand the “Application Pools” .
    3. Right click the coresponding application pool, and then
    select “Properties”.
    4. Click the “Identity” tab, and select the
“Local System” identity in the “Predefined”
    dropdown list.

  • FP Debug version not connecting to Flash Builder

I cannot seem to get the debug version of FP to connect back to Flash Builder 4.5.1.
I have installed the latest debug version of Flash Player from Adobe's website (NPSWF32_11_2_202_235).  I've configured a debug launch that starts my app in the browser; when I launch it it does indeed start in the browser, but the connection between the browser and FlashBuilder is never completed.  Eventually FlashBuilder times out.
Watching with SysInternals' TcpView I can see that Flash Builder listens on port 7935, but I don't know if the debug plugin is supposed to be using TCP to communicate with FlashBuilder, or there's an alternate connection mechanism (i.e. a pipe).
Can someone please explain how the player debug version connects to FB, and how to troubleshoot this further?
    Thanks

Firstly, if you're using Chrome there's a known issue with the latest version on Windows - see here for a workaround: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5201084
Assuming that your problem is with all content, there are a couple of things I can think of. Firstly, Flash Player recently changed the location it looks for the .telemetry.cfg file. Rather than under %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%, it now looks under the %USERPROFILE% environment variable. On the vast majority of machines these point to the same place, but it's possible that they don't on yours. If not, to use Scout you'll have to either change them to point to the same location, or manually copy the .telemetry.cfg file across. The next version of Scout will write to the correct location.
If this isn't the problem, the only other thing I can think of is your firewall settings. If you're able to connect to Scout, then the only thing remaining is that Flash Player is being blocked from opening a connection. Try disabling your firewall, and see if this works.

  • Why don't you make a new version of Mozilla Firefox for windows computers that wouldn't crash if you open 10 or more tabs? I like your browser, don't ruin it!

Seriously, more and more people are leaving Mozilla because of constant crashes after opening few tabs. I don't like google chrome as I am using this browser for years and the only thing I hate here is crashing. If chrome doesn't crash, why can't you copy their solution and stop crashing in new version of Mozilla firefox?
My internet connection is fine, so is speed, so there aren't some other causes of crash, and many Mozilla users I knew stopped using it and are now using chrome. Please do something about it, don't let google outnumber you.

hello, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? please enter '''about:crashes''' into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.

  • Latest Quicktime Plugin crashing Firefox and IE

The latest Quicktime plugin, 7.2, is crashing both Firefox and IE.

If Athlon 64 is a 64 bit system, I've read here at the discussion's that it is not supported by QT. But other's may be able to confirm that. The only time I've expierenced QT crash is when I've not had the correct driver for Nvidia, or hard lock up when I had hardware not configured properly. If the computer does not meet the system spec's for high definition H.264 the computer will also crash. The latest version of Firefox 2.0.0.7 and QT 7.2 work fine together.

  • After latest update 14.0.1 firefox has crashed 3 times in the last 30 minutes.

I recently updated to the latest version of FF and now it will just crash without warning. for example, I was trying to watch stuff on youtube and it crash.

Here are the crash reports for the two Crash IDs you submitted (shown in "More system details")

It looks like the problem is with BitDefender 2013 which may be incompatible with your installation of Firefox 14.0.1 and/or your installed extensions.
Try this first: [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] .... and it that doesn't help, see if temporarily disabling or uninstalling BitDefender resolves the crashes. If it does then contact BitDefender support. Related BitDefender forum thread:

  • I have the latest downloadable version of LR5.  It crashed while it was createing 1:1 previews during an import. After a Win7(64) restart, it shows a message that LR needs to quit because it can't read the preview files and it will try to fix it the next

I have the latest downloadable version of LR5.  It crashed while it was createing 1:1 previews during an import. After a Win7(64) restart, it shows a message that LR needs to quit because it can't read the preview files and it will try to fix it the next time is launches.  I get the same message the next and every subsequent time it launches so I can't launch LR at all now.
I get that the preview file got corrupted somehow.  Is there some way to fix this problem without building a new catalog?

Use Windows Explorer to open the folder containing your catalog. You will see a folder with the extension .lrdata. You need to delete that folder and then start Lightroom again. Lightroom will generate a new previews folder.

  • Is it true that current version of Mozilla Firefox including its updates can currently cause Windows 7 and/or Windows XP to crash?

I was advised in the first week of September 2013 by our IT contractor, that the current version of Mozilla FireFox (and its updates) is causing computers with Windows 7 to crash? (NB: specifically, we have Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1, 64bit). Is this still the case, and if not, do we need to upgrade to a newer version of Win7 (if one exists). Also, is there currently a problem with using Mozilla Firefox on a computer with Windows XP Home Edition, version 2002, service pack 3? NB: We have a server and our computers are on a network.
Thanks heaps, as would really like to change back to FireFox when possible.

That shouldn't be the case but most likely what I can think of is the graphics driver conflicting with Firefox. We can troubleshoot this issue if you'd like to.

  • Are latest versions of the firefox disabled for using in poor countries?

Is it possible to stop wasting of my money without Firefox deleting? Firefox downloads something (I suspect it's "safebrowsing" base) from Google almost continuously. I keep "browser.safebrowsing.enabled" and "browser.safebrowsing.malware.enabled" always false (about:config shows that, but it's not present in "Troubleshooting Information" below. Why?). I use fresh resetted profile. Whether it means that latest versions of the firefox are disabled for using in the rest of the world, where traffic can costs upto $0.3 per Mbyte?
    The article https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-stop-firefox-automatically-making-connections
    and topic https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968773 are useless.

I have not tried Live Http Headers. I'll try. Nethogs shows that firefox suddenly starts consume all bandwidth long time and Wireshark shows encrypted traffic from google network 195.64.213.0/24.
    PS. It's a GGC address.
PPS. After 6 hours of observation I catched next download, but not catch an initial request. The firefox downloaded near 100MB of binary stuff from 173.194.58.185 (belongs to Google, not has a host name).

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.

  • TS3899 After upgrading to the latest IOS version 7.1, in mail on ipad, if I select more than 5 mail items to delete the  mail software package  crashes and I have to relaunch mail? Anyone else noticed this?

After upgrading to the latest IOS version 7.1, in mail on ipad, if I select more than 5 mail items to delete the  mail software package  crashes and I have to relaunch mail? Anyone else noticed this?

I haven't encountered this problem on my iPad Air but this is what I usually do when Mail misbehaves.
Quit the Mail app like I describe then reset the iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.

  • After a download of an update too long, my iPhone is stuck, I can not use it. I tried to restore it but iTunes (latest version) crashes.

After a download of an update too long, I decided to cancel it and now my iPhone is stuck. I can not use it anymore. My Iphone can start but after that the apple disappears, I have a black background. I tried to restore it but iTunes (latest version) crashes. Whan can I do ??
    Thanks.

You mean you tried to hack/jailbreak it. ONLY the carrier a phone is locked to can authorize unlocking it.
You've voided your warranty and forfeited your right to support here and from Apple.  Congratulations. You now own an iBrick. Hope it was worth it.
