Latest Desktop 7.1 gives sync error

I unwittingly went an upgraded to the latest desktop sync software and now I'm unable to sync my phone.

Sync Error in latest version of Desktop Manager for Mac

Using Version 1.0.2 (build 8) (version of 4/19/10) -- since updating to this version, always get message that "A Sync Error Has Occurred - please try sync again."
Seems to be a problem with Contacts because if I sync only Calendar to iCal it works fine, but since it doesn't tell me the nature of the error, I am having a hard time troubleshooting.
Using Mac OSX 10.5.8.
And I foolishly just tried "repace all contacts on this device" option, which I thought would overwrite Blackberry with Address Book from my Mac...but just wiped out the contacts on my phone.

So i just did the same and yes, the sync error goes away, but i think another problem is occuring.
I use Entourage for my contacts and have a Blackberry to sync it to. Since contacts will only sync with ADDRESS i need to first sync ENTOURAGE with ADDRESS then it moves on to my BB. Since doing this exercise (above), it seems that ENTOURAGE is not syncing to ADDRESS...does this make any sense?

I am not running any antivirus software on my Mac, and I have the firewall shut off. Any other ideas? I have not problem downloading all other Apple software updates. I downloaded the latest iTunes software before starting the iPad update process.

IPad 2 gives an error message when sync'ing to iTunes on iMac

The iMac where iTunes sits gives an error message that the iPad is sync'd to another iTunes library "do you want to erase and sync?" we can get rid of the error message saying "cancel" but it still won't sync and the screen is on all night with this error while charging. Anyone have any ideas? Never sync'd "around..." to another library!!

Is there any chance you accidentally "deauthorized" your iTunes account? Make sure your account is authorized with your Apple ID. Unless you have a faster USB on your Mac, you're better off charging your iPad with the supplied 10 W wall charger. If you sync under your current circumstance you will lose you apps and synced content, which means you'll have to redownload your apps, etc.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

Next I would try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then try restoring the iPod. Note that this will erase the iPod. For recovery mode see:

Desktop sync error code 0x80043ac9

I am receiving this error during syncing on the address book sync. I have followed the steps as outlined in KB01451 for troubleshooting. The resulting tif.log when opened with notepad does indicate an error. This error is not clearly evident so i am not able to indentify the error to correct. Does anybody have a solution?

This error comes up for me during calendar sync, which many people seem to have.
Here is how I fixed the sync error, which was due to corrupt data on my BB, not outlook:
I opened calendar on Blackberry.
Hiighlite a date say a week ago. Select BB key and select 'delete prior'. I had to do this a couple of times to delete data. Interestingly it did not delete all previous appointments from the date selected, but it did fix the sync issue. Hope this helps.

Logic Sputtering, CPU spiking horribly for no apparent reason, gives MIDI sync error even though the computer is set at the same sample rate.

It's literally making it impossible for me to produce anything, after what seems an arbitrary amount of time in Logic my audio will begin to distort and I will get errors stating that my MIDI sample rates don't match, but they DO and it will spit out some seemingly random sample rate from nowhere. My CPU usage will spike and even my cursor will jitter across the screen until it stops stuttering. The audio problem seems to only be caused by Logic but will sometimes continue to occur in other applications after Logic is closed.
How on earth do I fix this? It's making it impossible for me to work on remixes that I have to have finished soon, I have deadlines and I simply can't work in these conditions... the audio doesn't work.

That sample rate error comes up when Logic gets out of sync internally, you will sometimes also see a MIDI/Audio sync error. MIDI timing is taken from the audio driver/sample rate, it's what enables MIDI to stay in sync with audio, when the audio/MIDI engines get out of whack these are the kind of errors that pop up. (there doesn't have to be any MIDI in the song) Can be caused by bad drivers, interference from another running program, synchronization settings, bad or incompatible plugins!
