Latest Flash update broke fullscreen

I am used to watch youtube videos on full screen while doing other stuff. I pause the videos, alt tab to do stuff in other windows, then resume watching the video
But since latest update, whenever I alt tab while video is paused, it exits full screen mode, so I have to enable full screen again every time. This did not happen before update - I could watch videos and then just alt tab back to the full screen
Tried different computers and different browsers, so the problem is with Flash and not with something else
Please patch this is an EXTREME inconvenience for me and others as well most likely!

I'm sorry you're going through this.  You might be running into a conflict with our Protected Mode which was introduced in Flash Player 11.4.  Please try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this FAQ:
How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
In particular, I'd recommend temporarily disabling protected mode (for troubleshooting purposes only) to see if that addresses the issue.

This does not occur with other browsers with the latest flash update.
The problem also shows up even with add-ons disabled and testing it with a new profile.
Does anybody have an idea with how to fix this, or is it a problem on adobe's end?

I've fixed the problem by installing the older version of Flash Player (v11.2.202.235).
    - First, download the uninstaller from [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html here].
    - Close your browser(s).
    - Run uninstaller and remove flash player.
    - After the uninstall process, download and install the old version from [http://www.oldapps.com/flash_player.php here].
Note: Download "Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.235 (Non-IE)" if you are using 32 bit OS

  • Able to only view some clips after installing latest flash update

I find that I am able watch some clips, but only after having switched to a different quality setting as with this clip: http://www.break.com/index/worlds-fastest-roller-coaster-1955594
which will fail to run at 360p, but will run at 480p. Same problem with other clips, but if there is no option to change the setting, I am unable to play any clips.
I have uninstalled the flash update and reinstalled, then updated my  graphic card driver, cleaned hd and have seen that it will play all  clips sometimes for awhile and then go back to having these problems.
    My connection is 7mbit.
    Ideas?
    TY in advance

I went to the site that you linked, and I can see the clip at 360p, but with lots of buffering breaks (my connection is 1Gbps), but won't load at all at 480p.  I think something is wrong with that site.

  • Latest Apple Updates broke my MBP

Installed latest Apple Updates on early MacBook Pro 13" and on rebooting I now have the grey screen of death with spinning logo. This has appeared in earlier support posts across the last two years, but I fail to see why a brand new system should hit this problem. Unfortunate that its my daughters computer and her install disc is 250 miles away. Have discovered that early Snow Leopard retail DVD is incompatible with newer Macs so cant even do a reinstall. This is not a quality design Apple!!

    Hello
Anyone else having bluetooth connection problems with the latest update of Lion OS?

Obviously nobody else has ever heard of this problem...as I have received no replies. Still am unable to launch the system and have read and tried everything I can find online. I really can't afford to take this to a service place as they want to charge me $125/hour to fix it...but my life and work are on this laptop and I was hoping to solve the problem myself simply. oh well, thanks to anyone who read my post anyway...I'll just bite the bullet. P.S. I'm writing this on a Windows XP platform and maybe that's the next way to go...sorry Apple. It's hard to find technicians to fix your stuff. Windows techs are a dime a dozen.
I was doing an automatic software update last night
of whatever the latest security update is and in the
process while still running other tasks in the
background, the software froze up. I rebooted and all
I got was the gray screen with the apple and the
spinning gear. So I tried rebooting again and again
and again. Nothin. It will not boot from any startup
disk while holding the "c" key. (OS 9 or 10) I have
removed the battery and tried with just the power
adapter. nothin. I have tried booting in safe mode.
nothin. I have zapped the pram. nothin. I have zapped
the nvram. nothin. It's an ibook G4 14" opaque white.

  • Latest iTunes update broke my iPod 3rd gen connection

Recently, iTunes decided to send an update to break my iPod connection. Well, it worked. It broke any connection to iTunes, as well as my system.

    What else can I try??

  • Latest Flash update will not function in my XP.

I use Win XP SP3 with Chrome, Catalyst 6.11.  After my last web prompted update, I have lost the ability to scroll horizontally.  I stuck with left view and some things cut off.  I use this old system on my TV.

Same damn problem I was probably having...When using IE and
deleting temporary internet files it disables/corrupts/removes
proper function of the adobe flash player....You can reinstall all
night long and it will claim a "successful" installation but, it is
not....YOU MUST FIRST UNINSTALL ADOBE FLASH PLAYER USING THE ONLY
TOOL THAT WILL DO THIS WHICH IS THE FLASH PLAYER UNINSTALLER FROM
THE ADOBE WEBSITE....BE SURE AND SAVE IT TO YOUR DESKTOP BECAUSE
YOU WILL BE USING IT FOREVER.....Once you have used the uninstaller
program you can then successfully and truthfully download the
    latest adobe flash player..............
    Adobe
    Uninstaller at bottom of page
Further description of the problem: When you clean out your
temporary files and/or temporary objects some critical part of the
Flash9 goes with it and your flash will NOT operate...you can try
and reinstall it all night long...your dead...nothing....you must
FIRST GO TO THE ADOBE UNINSTALLER (hyperlink shown above) and run
that program to uninstall COMPLETELY the flash9....Having done
that, you can now install the flash and this time it will
    take......
Another answer in addition to the one described above is to
upgrade your IE to IE7. This seems to eliminate the problem
concerning the functionality of the Flash9 and PC
    maintenance….keep your fingers crossed.
    Let me know the results………..

  • No audio with latest Flash update

I recently updated to the latest version of Flash, version 10.1.102.64, and have found that I don't get any audio.  I use Firefox version 3.6.13 on my computer that has Windows XP Pro SP 3.  I have confirmed that I get audio when I play an mp3, but I don't get any sound when I watch a video on YouTube.  I have tried unistalling the latest version and reinstalling it as well as restarting my computer and have not met with success.  I have also tried to get the audio to work with Internet Explorer Version 8.0.6001.18702 and have the same result that the video plays, but there is no sound.
    Thanks for you help.

You all know the drill. Is it fixed yet???

  • E51 latest firmware update broke any WIFI attempt ...

I'm really pi__ed off now, after the latest firmwareupdate i get: "Web: No Gateway Reply" whenever I try to connect to ANY wifi connection, regardless off wep/public etc. What is really annoying is that this is NOT a new issue...it has been reported in earlier firmwares in all kinds of forums... and the lack of support from Nokia in this matter is mind boggling.
I want my phone fixed! and dont give any **bleep** like: "did you try to connect to another wlan etc." off course I have. There is no reason why my wlan spots wouldnt work after the update.
Does anyone have a solution to this annoying problem?

What you said made no sense, please explain what you meant if you even can. To be honest you sound like you have no idea what you are talking about. "But those are type of private WLANs and you can not browse them." Please define a private Wlan and why I should not be able to "browse" it.
There seems to be a bug within the DHCP client. Maybe it's not holding the RFC standards for DHCP because when I configure static IP on the phone, everything works properly. Please fix DHCP!
Funny enough I can access my router's configuration page from the phone but it just wont go through the internet.

  • Latest iTunes update broke Nano 7G detection/sync

The latest update to iTunes (v11.3.0.54) for PC has broken my ability to connect my Nano 7G and sync.
First let me give you the conditions.
I have 2 PCs. Both are running Windows 8.1 with all Windows updates installed. PC 1 is my main desktop and I recently updated iTunes to the latest version, 11.3.0.54. PC 2 is a laptop that is still running v.11.2.2.3. After the update I attempted to connect my Nano to PC 1 and was given this error message.
"An iPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPod, then try again. If the problem persists, uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again"
After clicking OK, the iPod does not appear to be detected or connected to iTunes. It also does not show up in My Computer as an attached device, and does not show up in Device Manager as either a USB device or Portable device.
At first I thought I had just broken the Nano, but I attempted to connect it to PC 2 running the earlier version of iTunes and it works 100% perfectly. I have indeed tried uninstalling and re-installing iTunes multiple times, rolling back to an earlier version on PC 1 (which won't load due to the library file being modified by the later version) and then upgrading again. I have tried connecting on multiple USB ports and used 2 different USB/Lightning cables. All work fine with PC 2 running the older version, none work with PC 1 running the latest. I have tried doing a reset of the Nano while disconnected and connected. Both fail.
Again the iPod worked fine before the update and still works fine on a PC with an identical operating system/updates running an earlier version of iTunes. Is this something I can fix myself? How? Or is it something I will just have to wait for Apple to patch?

    Hello joejoehoppy,
Look for it to pop up next to the iTunes Store icon. Also check out the article below to troubleshoot your iPod nano connecting to iTunes.

  • The last time I uploaded the latest Flash update, it crashed whenever I tried to use it. Why should I try to upload it again?

The last time I updated my Firefox, I received a dialog box instructing me to update my Flash player, which I did immediately. When I then visited sites requiring a flash player, all the sites crashed and I was unable to view the contents of these sites. So, I restored my system back to where it was one month ago and everything went back to normal, and I was able to use the sites requiring a flash player. Now, today, 9/8/10, my Firefox was updated again, and I received the same dialog box - to update my flash player due to security concerns. However, I don't trust the Adobe flash player website to give me an uncorrupted version of the updated player, so what should I do?

  • Problems with Latest Flash Update

I am using a fairly new HP computer running Windows 7 and IE9. Ever since the computer downloaded the update Flash Player 11.3 all the sites that have Flash insist that it isn't installed and I should download it. I have tried to download again, deleted it and downloaded again and in every case, sites still report it is not installed. I use NOD32 as an anti-virus. Any suggestions please?

It sounds like the install did not complete successfully on your computer.
You can find the uninstaller here:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11-3.html
    Here's what I'd recommend:
Disable your virus utility (they sometimes interefere with installers).
    Uninstall
    Re-install
Check to see if Flash is installed correctly by going here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html
If the install still fails, try the following:
    Uninstall
    Reboot
    Disable your virus utility
Download a new copy of the installer from the download link above
    Re-install
If you're still experiencing issues, please reply to this thread (I'll keep an eye on it) and I'll help you figure it out.
    Thanks!

  • Why does the latest flash update automatically install Mcafee?

Just wondering why I can't opt out of installing unwanted software when updating flash player?
    For reference:
    - I turned on my computer and was faced with a regular looking flash player box that stated an update was available.
    - I clicked the "update" button and was taken to the following page: https://get3.adobe.com/flashplayer/download/?installer=Flash_Player_13_for_Other_Browsers& os=Windows%207&browser_type=Gecko&browser_dist=Firefox&a=McAfee_Security_Scan_Plus_FireFox _Browser&dualoffer=false&type=au&browser_vers=28 (yes it mentions Mcafee in the address, but only the address. No warning whatsoever on the actual webpage. I wasn't aware that it would automatically install Mcafee without asking).
    - I saved the update, then ran it (there were no checkboxes at all to opt out of Mcafee, it just installed it).
Not particularly happy at having unwanted software installed with no real warning, and no opt out available.

    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1395219
That one goes back three updates ago, and http://forums.adobe.com/message/4315988  goes back two years...
This has been an ongoing thing. There is an updater that blindly installs McAfee and another that installs Google Chrome and Toolbar. People have been complaining about it for years, and it doesn't change, and it won't change.
I'm not being condescending, and I'm not trying to lecture you on this. I'm just stating the facts. If there had been any intent on anyone's part to do something about it, posts like this wouldn't pop up here every month and a half, like clockwork.
It's the number one reason we post the FULL installer links. Because they have NOTHING IN THEM but the Flash Player plug-in.
