  • GPS system for Nokia 9300

    I am looking for a full GPS system for my Nokia 9300, which will give me voice navigation down to specific postcodes within the UK and downloadable up-to-date maps/navigation database. I had my eye on Route 66 Mobile but it's specification states it's only available for the S60 series; even the latest Route 66 Mobile version 7.
    I'm now really confused as to what I should look for. I need a complete system i.e. GPS receiver and software, because at the moment I only have the phone. As a very last resort, I do have an old Nokia 6630 I could use as a dedicated navigation system, but really I want to use my Nokia 9300 for everything. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.Message Edited by garyg on 29-Jun-2006

  • Nokia 9300 PC Driver for WinXP

    Hi
    I have a 9300 whenever i connect it to my laptop using a usb cable, windows xp (sp2) detects it and displays a usb message "connected nokia 9300". Then it asks for the driver through driver installation wizard. I have tried automatic and internet search but no use. I have also installed latest PC Suite on my laptop. I also tried installing DKU-2 drivers but failure agian then i uninstalled it.
    Please help....

    Thanks for your response manta.
    But as a matter of fact when i had nothing installed on my PC except latest PC Suite, i had the same problem.
    Yes my PC device manager showed "NOkia 9300 ?"(with question mark).
    Well meantime i connected internet to search for the drivers, i got some of them but still there are a few wireless communication drivers which could not be installed.
    I had been able to install the modem and some of the wireless drivers for 9300.
    I have tried again to connect through PC Suite but again the same thing. It keeps on showing me the connection screen but no effect.
    What would you say now... should i give it a try by uninstall and installation agaiin...

  • IP Passthrough on Nokia 9300

    Have been trying to connect to the internet via PC after setting up cable connection as IP Passthrough. Get a prompt to install Nokia 9300 RNDIS driver. Does not seem to be in the latest version of PC Suite 6.8 nor in Windows XP SP1 either. Where do I get this driver? How do I connect to the internet thru IP Passthrough?

    you may have missed the point here...
    you can only use IPP with a cable, not bluetooth.
    all you are doing is setting up a network bridge with the software. you need to choose the connections from Nokia Network Bridge in the control panel. to the best of my knowledge - i do not remember seeing the modem in the setup for this when i tried it.

  • Re: Nokia 9300 System Corrupted message

    I am receiving a system corrupted message from my Nokia 9300 phone. I have backed up the device . How can I delete the entire phone contents and reinstall.

    Unfortunately this is something you cannot do on your own, you will need to take the device into a Nokia Repair Centre to hav them re-flash the phone and reload it with the latest software.
    Be sure that your backed up contents were not the cause of the problem as if they were when you restore them your phone will be back to square one.

    User,
    What about something like:
    select dep.deptno, dep.dname, em.empno, em.ename
    from dept dep, emp em
    where (em.deptno = dep.deptno)
    and ((:vename is null and :vdname is null)
    or  (:vename is null and dep.dname like :vdname)
    or  (:vdname is null and em.ename like :vename)
    or  (em.ename like :vename and dep.dname like :vdname))a bit complicated, but should work... or, just instruct the users to use "%" when they want all values.

    Ok, I know it's an old telefon but I'am waiting for the iphone. Does Anybody know how to get the Nokia 9300 work again?

  • Isync 2.2 and Nokia 9300

    Is there anybody working with the Nokia 9300 and the new isync-update? any experiences? After updating and reinstalling the patches, i cannot add my phones to isync my 9300 is added as unknown devices and my SE T630 is seen but i cannot add it.

    I had the very same problem with my 9300 and iSync, but after a while of tinkering, I managed to fix it.
    The problem was in the patch that I had originally pasted into my MetaClasses.plist file. All that needed to be done was to change the following line:
    <string>com.nokia.serie60v2.0</string>
    into
    <string>family.com.nokia.serie60v2.0</string>
    After this, I restarted iSync and was prompted to send the new iSync application to my phone (v1.2). After this was installed, I ran the synchronisation and it worked. It should be noted that the first time was quite slow as it had to synchronise everything again.

  • Can you watch really any video with a nokia 9300?

    I tried rm formats and the only that works is sound, no video at all...Am I doing something wrong?. Can you watch really any video with the Real Media player on Nokia 9300?.
    Any help would be really welcome.

    You cannot watch just any type of media file with realplayer on the 9300/9300i/9500 communicators, video files have to be converted to the 3gp format, there are a number of converter software packages on the net - may of which are free. Try also Nokia's own multimedia converter, downloadeable from Nokia, cheers.

  • Nokia 9300 firmware update???

    Is there any firmware update available for my Nokia 9300 v 4.53 (00)22-12-2004 RAE-6???

    Hi mukeshinsaan,
    Thank you for your post. You can check if there is any new software for your device by downloading and using Nokia suite which you can download from the link below and then select the link under the Nokia Suites for your PC section:
    http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/nokia-9300/pc-software
    Once you have downloaded this if you go to tools and then click software update or you can click the quick link  (Its a green arrow icon) and then click refresh. This will then check if any new updates are available.

  • How do Send Music files from a nokia 9300 to anoth...

    I have a Nokia 9300 and also a 2600 classic, i want to send a ringtone that i recievd on my 9300 to the 2600.. How do i do it. can anyone help please?

    i stand corrected in that case, and thank you for letting me know. i have checked several sources and they stated that 2600 does not have the bluetooth capability, but then again things you find on the internet are not always correct.
    did you connect your devices, discover mode and approved that both phones can 'talk' to each other? the code generally is 0000, make sure your phones are not set to hide and, fire up both blueetooth devices, do a search for new devices and see what happens. again i do not have either phone so i may be incorrect again. but since noone else is volunteering info why not give this a try. perhaps others can chime in that know the issue better than i do.
    also keep in mind that even if you are able to connect the two you still may not be able to do a transfer because the phone may have other limitations etc.

  • Nokia 9300 & iSync instructions

    Can someone give me detailed instructions, start to finish, how to make my 9300 and iSync work together? I've seen some instructions, but I seem to be missing something. I know it will be detailed, but the simpler and more straightforward the better.
    Thanks,
    EJ

    if it still don't work, try this method:
    open: /Applications / iSync.app / Contents / PlugIns / ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice / Contents / PlugIns / PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin / Contents / Resources/MetaClasses.plist
    before the last '</dict></plist>' add the following codes:
    <key>com.nokia.9300</key>
    <dict>
    <key>Identification</key>
    <dict>
    <key>com.apple.gmi+gmm</key>
    <string>Nokia+Nokia 9300</string>
    </dict>
    <key>InheritsFrom</key>
    <array>
    <string>family.com.nokia.serie60v2.2</string>
    </array>
    <key>Services</key>
    <array>
    <dict>
    <key>ServiceName</key>
    <string>com.apple.model</string>
    <key>ServiceProperties</key>
    <dict>
    <key>ModelName</key>
    <string>9300</string>
    <key>PhoneIcon</key>
    <string>NOK9300.tiff</string>
    </dict>
    </dict>
    </array>
    </dict>
    and then download the 9300 icon:
    http://livid.cn/files/isync/NOK9300.tiff
    put it in the folder /Applications / iSync.app / Contents / PlugIns / ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice / Contents / PlugIns / PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin / Contents / Resources/
    and it will work. mine works well. good luck!

  • Duplicating Contacts with labels from Nokia 9300 t...

    I have tried all means to transfer Contacts data exactly as it exists in my my Nokia 9300 to Nokia E90. I am at my wits end as the copied contacts have either missing data or getting tagged to wrong labels albeit default labels.
    I have tried PC Suite, Bluetooth and Data mover all to no success. The latter seems to connect up only with infrared and failing. I am sure there is hope somewhere; could some one help me please ?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    This is what i did
    I opened my phone browser from my computer--- memory card---contacts and copied all the contacts on my pc as a VCF File and then with the help of Nokia Communication Center i re-checked them and simply connected my new E90 and copied the same on the memory card.... and the job was done......(My phone was connected in Nokia PC Suite Mode)
    Another way is to use the application that nokia gifts its communicators users. Its called the Data Mover or Transfer...
    This application transfers contacts, calender entries and some other data from some another nokia mobile phone free of cost. It requires installation of nokia data transfer application on both the devices.

  • Nokia 9300 - Unable to open some PDF files

    Hi,
    I have a Nokia 9300 with Acrobat Reader for Symbian v1.1. Whilst it works OK on some files, it will not open others? Is there a file size limit? I have plenty of free memory on the device so it seems strange that some files will not open. Any suggestions welcome. To illustrate the problem, try opening the PDF of the New York Subway Map see http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/submap.htm this is only 435KB.

    Geoff, I'm going to try that map.  Meanwhile...
    To Slim Takii and others who want to know where they can get Adobe Reader for the 9300:  Adobe's Web site no longer provides the Symbian Adobe Reader v1.1, only a link to the commercial partner that sells a PDF Reader for S60 smartphones.
    But Nokia still has the Adobe Reader for the 9300 at http://www.nokiausa.com/get-support-and-software/product-support/nokia-9300/additional-res ources/software/free-software#
    What a godawful URL, huh?
