Latest itunes version: how to select what you want transferred
how can you select what to transfer from your mac via itunes to my iphone 4?
I am lost in the new version of iTunes 10.11 and need to switch off the transfer of music to my iphone. how can i do that, so that it only transfers and syncs the email accounts etc.?
First, the latest iTunes is version 11.0.1. There is no iTunes version 10.11 as you indicate in your post above.
If you're running iTunes 11.0.1, then you can see all the iPhone tabs just as you did before by clicking on the iPhone icon in the upper right when the iPhone is connected to iTunes. Or if you would like the old appearance of iTunes with the sidebar, you can do View > Show Sidebar from iTunes' menu.
You can select what does and does not get synched on the iPhone's tabs in iTunes just as before. For example, if you don't want music synched, click the music tab in the upper right while in the iPhone area and uncheck "Sync music".

What happened to print preview and the ability to select what you want to print?
I've tried all of the suggestions and still no print preview.
Does this also happen if you use the Print items in the file menu?
*Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu bar.
Does anything open at all?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

I too cannot download latest itunes version. Apple needs to respond and fix what is certainly a software defect. Am seeing all of the same error messages including MSCVR80.dll is missing from computer. For Windows 7 a "Error 7 (Windows errror 126) appears. How do you get Apples's attention. It is impossible to link up with real support from their website?
Remove old Apple programs, and use Explorer web-browser. (Firefox or Chrome will not do)

I just tried to install latest iTunes version and install failed. A pop-up stated "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. ERROR 7 (Windows error 1114)." I have a decent-sized iTunes library that is not backed-up to the cloud. How can I either get back to the previous iTunes version that was functioning OR install a new version without losing the Library?
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I downloaded the latest iTunes version and now get the following error message: "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please re-install iTunes." Can anyone provide suggestions on what I should do next?
Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".

How can I eliminate error in printing a cd jewel case cover in latest ITunes version?
How can I eliminate the printing error in Itunes when attempting to print a cd jewel case cover? I'm using the latest iTunes version.
I finally solved this problem after toiling with it for a couple of days. Solution: Once you have burned your CD you must go back into iTunes to your music/playlists and select the playlist you just burned and click file; print and you will get the mosaics that we have been accustomed to. I was on hold with Apple Support when I found this myself. Yes......!!! Problem solved..for me anyway. Good luck!

I have just downloaded the latest itunes version (11.0.1). All my data cannot now be located, though the library is showing all the correct content. The data is stored on an external hard drive. How do I tell the library where to find it's data?
The iTunes application should be installed on the system drive. You may need to repair iTunes to fix that error regarding a missing .exe.
To organize your library properly see Make a split library portable.
If you don't have a working version of the library that can be transformed into a portable shape I have tools and techniques that can repair the broken links.

I just reinstalled and this is the pop up that shows "You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Do you want to quit and use the latest version of iPhoto, or do you want to create a new photo library?" what do i do next? it just keeps popping up and loading but only gives a quit button?
Update it.
How old is your Mac? If it's very recent you need to update via the App Store
If you purchased at the App Store you need to update via the App Store
Otherwise you update via Softare Update

My Mac laptop was running fine till I downloaded the latest itunes version this week, now all the programs are slow, ITUNEs cuts in and out. Anyone know what I did wrong?
Hello Mark Malecki,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I understand you are having some issues with iTunes on your MacBook. You may want to isolate the issues further by testing to see if they persist in a new user account:

You can also try starting iTunes in safe mode:

everytime i connect my iphone on my laptop my itunes keeps on turning off the manual sync for songs. everytime i turn it on it erases all the contents, but when i reconnect it it's off again. how can i fix this?
There really is no way to tell iTunes which songs you deleted from the iPod and would no longer want synced to the device. So you'll have to keep doing what you want for now.
It's one of the downfalls currently associated with being able to delete content directly from your device.

What is feedback on latest iTunes version?
what is the current feedback on the latest iTunes version?
I updated yesterday, synced my iPhone afterwards, and this morning found one oddity which I just sat down to explore. I have two smart lists - within 2 weeks and within 2 months which contain music I've added within 2 weeks and within 2 months. The former is just fine. The latter however appears to contain every song on my iPhone.
My first stab at fixing this was to delete the playlist from my iPhone, sync, and then add it back. That didn't work so now I'm getting ready to remake the playlist in iTunes and then sync it. Other than that, which may not be related to the new iTunes at all, I'm happy and see no problems. -
I recently bought an iPad Mini, but it won't sync with my latest iTunes version
So, i bought the new iPad mini like 2 weeks ago, and yesterday I decided to sync, so I updated my iTunes version and then proceeded to connect the iPad in order to sync it. When connected, it says it's not charging next to the battery sign, but it is recognized by my laptop and iTunes, because it shows "Adriana's iPad". When I choose to sync, it says it's syncing but it really doesn't, and also, when I try to see the content of my iPad in the iTunes, it's all gray and It won't show ANYTHING! what do i do?
When you see your iPad listed in iTunes click on that to select it. Then go to the tabs that are shown and select those things your want on your iPad before you click on Apply or Sync. That should copy what you want to the iPad.

Attempting to Restore my iPad 2 on Latest iTunes Version but Getting 3194 Error
I am trying to restore my iPad 2 on the latest iTunes version, but I am consistently getting the 3194 error. What is going on?
When I plugged my iPad 2 into my computer, I saw a popup stating that the iPad is in DFU mode, which is weird, since I never did anything to it. It was working fine with iOS 5, but now that I'm trying to restore it, it will not allow me to.Apple tech support documents for that error direct you to here:
