A new version of the BlackBerry® PlayBook OS is now available to all BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet users – BlackBerry PlayBook OS v1.0.8.6067. This free update can be downloaded over-the-air from your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.
The BlackBerry PlayBook OS v1.0.8.6067 contains the following fixes and updates:
Daylight savings time updates
Security updates as outlined in the BlackBerry Security Advisory KB29191
How to update your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet
Existing BlackBerry PlayBook tablet users will automatically receive a software update notification on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet status ribbon, or they can check for the software update at any time in the settings menu under “Software Updates”. Users who purchase and activate a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet on or after December 5, 2011 will automatically be updated to v1.0.8.6067 or later as part of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet setup process.
For users who are already running BlackBerry PlayBook v1.0.8.4985 or higher, the update to this new version (v1.0.8.6067) will include only the updates outlined above and is expected to take only a few minutes to install.

I have plugged my Playbook into the PC and started up the BB Desktop software which tells me that I need an update. However the update wont download. I get the downloading screen but then get a message after 2min that the new OS has been unable to be downloaded. Any ideas?

Downloading/Updating to BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0
If you purchase a new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, the first time you set up the tablet you’ll automatically get updated to BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 during the initial setup process. For an overview of how the setup process on a new BlackBerry tablet works, check out our post on How to Set Up a BlackBerry PlayBook. (Make sure you come back to this post so you can learn more about the new BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 home screen when you are finished setting up your tablet!)
For those that already own a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, when BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 is released, you will receive a Software Update notification that appears on the status bar. When this appears, tap “Update” to start downloading the Software Update. You’ll need to restart the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet when the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 update is complete, so make sure you save any files you might be working on.
Tip: Whenever you are applying Software Updates or setting up a new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, leave it plugged in so it has a sufficient charge. To learn more on how to check for a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet Software Upgrade manually, click here.

There is a way to use the print to go aplication with a Mac ??? Because the software that i can download in the webpage is only for windows and not for mac.

We need the USB host because if we are away with a Camera and SD card or Compact Flash card.
With no Wifi or GSM network
We would like to be able to transfer the pictures to the tablet directly.
All the code is there it is just a matter for Blackberry to release it.
It is not the proper way to hope they will better sale tablets with 64gb.
Currently between the Torch and the Bridged Playbook I have 64Gb
Quite easy to change the Microsd card from the Torch to copy all to the playbook.
Quite a pain, but manageable.
Unfortunately without a PC I can with Compact Flash.
At least a card ready would help to support the transfer -

Earlier version use to boot fastest ... post upgrade it takes not less than 5 MINS :-O
Besides there are wifi connectivity issues, the same playbook use to connect to my home wifi, today it doesn't recognize.

That message means that you have to restore the iOS software because something went wrong. Follow the instructions here. I hope that you have a backup.

Initially iTunes would not run although it had been running quite well up until now. Suddenly received this error on PC start-up "The program can't start because MSVC80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Research on Net pointed me to iTunes as the issue. Tried to start iTunes and received that message again. Tried installing latest version of 64-bit iTunes and received the subject message part way through the install: Trying to install latest iTunes for Windows 7 64-bit. Keep getting this error message "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
iTunes has been running great on this PC for years. What's up?

Do you have iOS 5.1.1 on your original iPad? If not update the iOS.
You might also try quitting the app and then reset the pad.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Still no joy? Delete the Keynote app, reset the iPad and then reinstall Keynote. You will not have to pay for downloading it again. -
Firefox (latest and greatest) has been giving me synaptics scroll wheel errors. It has worked fine up until 3 days ago. I have the latest driver for the touch-pad, from synaptics, for my toshiba laptop L505D-S5986. Operating system is Windows 7 (32-Bit). Have tried it on other browsers, and works as it should. The last add-on i installed for Firefox was "Fox Filter" so my kids couldn't accidentally stumble onto sites of immoral tastes. I can't see why that would have any effect, but it was the last update/add-on i installed to the browser, but even then,.......it was working fine for a week and a half afterwards until now. Please help.

You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Hello everybody, Im trying to update my ITunes on my MAC (laptop) to the newer version so I can then be able to update the latest updates for my Iphone-3G. I don’t require a complete reinstall just need to be able to update my itunes.
What I have tried so far is I had my MAC search for update’s and it said that I should update to (ITunes version 10 . 6 . 3 ) So I asked it to do the update but after 2hrs of waiting for it to download/update it then puts up a message saying the following- (In order to continue installation, please close the following application: ITunes).
When I tried to do this another message comes up that says- (The update ITunes can’t be installed. The following install step failed: run preupgrade script for Apple mobile device support. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)
I have also tried to run the update while having closed ITunes before I even start the update but the same problem happens after waiting about 2hrs.
Some one that had the same problem said this might be happening in the older operating systems. But that does not make sense because surely Apple want customers who own a MAC and i-phone to still buy from iTunes.
My MAC is about 4-5years old. I have a i-phone.3G,

Help - I downloaded the latest update for my ipod, but instead it seems to have completely wiped it!
Can someone please help me - I have downloaded the latest update for my ipod to try to get it to work with iCloud, to back everything up, but instead it seems to have wiped everything and restored my ipod to its factory settings and now when I try to sync it, it says 'Sync in Progress', but then doesn't do anything.
When I got my ipod I installed loads of music from CD's, other mp3's etc on to my computer and downloaded it to the ipod. However over the past year I have bought all my music and apps straight from the ipod instead of the computer as I bought a new computer and every time I plugged my ipod in to it, it said that it would download content from the computer, which I didn't want to do as there was no music installed on the computer and I didn't want to lose anything. I had also previously read that you couldn't upload music from an ipod to a computer for some reason.
However, I then heard about the new iCloud where it automatically updates your purchases to all your Apple devices. So when I looked up how to get iCloud it said I needed to install the new ios5 to get an account. I then plugged my ipod in to my computer and tranfered all my purchases to my computer. Once this was complete I clicked on 'update ipod' where it said it would update it from version 3.something to version 4.something, so I left it to it, but when I came back to find it was complete, I looked on my ipod and there was nothing there -no music, no apps, nothing except what was there when I first bought it.
I tried to re-sync it to at least get back the 300-odd songs I'd purchased that are on my new computer, but every time I do it, it displays 'Sync in Progress', but then stops and it hasn't done anything. The ipod itself is working fine and I have no problems with my computer, so I can only assume itunes is causing the problem.
Please could someone tell me if there's a way I can restore my ipod and if there's a way I can get back all my music, including the 2000 odd tracks that I had that weren't bought from itunes?

Just upgraded to latest iTunes for Windows. Rebooted the PC as required after the update. When I start iTunes I get a popup message saying "An unknown error occured (-42110)."

Before the reset quit Pages like this:
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.
