Latest OSX that will run on eMac
I have an eMac running version 10.2.8 of OS X. What is the latest version that will run on this computer, and is it available?
If you eMac processor speed is 1Ghz or greater, you can run OS 10.5 "Leopard" (not 10.6 "Snow Leopard"). If it has a 700 or 800 mhz processor, the highest is OS 10.4.11 "Tiger."
With either, you will get the best experience by installing as much RAM as the machine allows, either 1G or 2G, depending on those specs we're waiting to see. There are two eMac variants with considerable differences in capability and features, so that's why knowing you details are important.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, contributor Texas Mac Man suggests the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the latest version:)
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work -

PSE 2, I think. I know that's the last one with ME listed in the sys reqs. PSE 3 might have worked, but adobe never said it would.

Ok, it's a PPC app. That means it needs Rosetta. Rosetta was gone by Mac OS 10.7, so that is out of the question.
Rosetta is an option you can install in 10.6. So it may be possible in that system.
Acrobat 7 listed as its official requirements "10.2.8 or 10.3" but it still runs as of 10.5, from my testing.
Acrobat 6, though is from the early days of Mac OS X. (Acrobat 5 was released for Mac OS 9), In 2003, we were on Mac OS 10.3.
It might run in later systems, I suspect the first thing to fail would be the Adobe PDF printer driver. -

Most recent Photoshop Elements version that will run well on G4 PowerMac (non-Intel) and Tiger?

I am wondering if it is wise to try to get a "OK" version that will run on a G4 MDD, or just take the plunge and go to an Intel machine.

Depends how much work you do with it it, but a Mac Mini even will run circles around the fastest G4. -
On one of my "older" laptops, I'm runninig OS 10.4.11 and I can't find a version of iTunes that will run. Where can I locate the correct version?
Apple has a couple of published but still somewhat hidden links to various versions that represent the last version that runs on particular platforms. The Roger Wilmut1's link to 9.1.1 is one of them, for Tiger OS.
However, there are many, many versions still available on servers (at least the last time I tried) but the URLs are not easy to find (I have a list of about 20 versions). They are still on the official Apple server, just no links pointing to them from Apple's pages.
Even though I have Tiger OS I still use iTunes 7.5 Most of the bells and whistles in the newer versions seemed to be for marketing the iTunes Store (which has nothing I want and I prefer the CD at the same price) and garnering data about your music tastes (Genius) but the Store won't work with iTunes 9 anyway. If you're interested in a particular version let me know, otherwise 9.1.1 is the latest for Tiger. -

I highly suspect by deduction that since the latest 10.4 Server was 10.4.7, that these would be the latest since they came with 10.4.7 client at least...

Check the above web site. Unless somebody can give you a concise answer here you can start browsing different models and their boot requirements. The system information is located in the lower half of each model's page. Look at G4s and early G5s.
Note that anything that can run 10.4 or earlier will also support Classic. Not all applications run well in Classic but many do. If the primary purpose of the computer is to run this software it can be a bit tiresome to have to have Classic running all the time. I find it okay to use but only work with it once a month for an hour or less.
My computer (G4 Quicksilver) boots to early OS9 natively but can also run anything up to OSX 10.5. I can boot to OS9 but have neve needed to do so.
