Latest pages change does not insert page numbers

Went to add the page number in a document and it does not insert the number or give a choice as to the format of that number. anyone know a fix?

Acrobat has no way to know which bit of character string on each page is the page number.
The visible page number has never formed any part of Reader nav. as you point out, it couldn't.
Acrobat knows the Numbering Properties of the pages as created in Frame. It just doesn't display or honor them consistently, depending on Reader version.
I also use i, ii, iii, iv for pre-narrative material. The romans are displayed in the page number box of Acroread (this is AR7 on Unix). I can enter "ii" in the box, and go to that page. But the Print dialog is Ordinal only. Printing page ranges in AR7 is always off by 2 or 4 relative to the actual page numbers.
Acrobat Pro 9 (9.4.5, Win7-64) seems to be more consistent, and does show and accept real page numbers for Print.

Pages "Track Changes" does not work when working in cells in a document

While attempting to edit a WORD file (converted to Pages for my macbook) it was discovered that the Track Changes feature will not register if the changes are inside a "cell" in the file. The RFP I am trying to respond to is made up of multiple columns and rows. Anytime you make a change inside the columns or rows the "Track Changes" does not record the change. Outside of the columns/rows it works perfectly.
I download the most recent OS and Pages file last week. The issue started then.
Has anyone had this issue before?

Enabling "Save This View" button - change does not stick

Running SharePoint 2013 Server Standard
I have several sites. For some the "Save This View" choice when filtering a view is enabled. However, there are some for which the choice does not display.
I located the setting for this in Editing the Page, Miscellaneous options for which the check button is "Disable 'Save This View'" button. I uncheck the box, hit Apply or OK. No errors. However, the change does not get executed.
I have admin rights to do anything.
Please advise as to other settings that may be overriding this.
Any ideas? Seems to be a bug.

We are getting this error while trying to load BSAs. The profile option is set to always at the responsibility level,
The same code and settings were tested in lower instances and it went through fine

Ensure Profile: Sequential Numbering must be set to: 'Partially Used' at app level

Playlist after being imported to tablet does not show track numbers?

After importing playlist in itunes to my tablet, it does not show sequential numbering of tracks? It would make it easier for me to id the numberical order of tracks?

If the movie clip is there, but no thumbnails, I would suggest that you delete the thumbnails, cache, and analysis folders but take care not to delete your original clips. Do this in the Finder after shutting down iMovie.
Then restart iMovie and let it regenerate the thumbnails. Let it run until it finishes.

Hierarchy R3PRODHIER does not have a numbering scheme

I am trying to download customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1.
For this i have already maintained numbering scheme in the customizing path
Cross Application Client/SAP Products/Product Category/Define Category Numbering Schemes/
Upon initial download queue status is system fail and i get the message as
"Hierarchy R3PRODHIER does not have a numbering scheme"

1.The ID of Numbering Schemes you've created is same as PRODHS on ERP?
2.Check the GUID of scheme guid in COMC_SCHEME and COMM_HIERARCHY are identical of not. If not, there is inconsistancy between these tables. Delete the hierarchy by report program:COM_HIERARCHY_DELETE_ALL and excute initial download again.
*this standard report is useful but little bit danger because all of the product hierarchy will be deleted. Use it carefully.

Boris Title - Changes does not stick

I'm making some changes on my Boris 3D text but the changes does not stick.
I do a bevel on the text and press Apply, but when I see the result nothing happened. I go back in and it looks like I changed nothing. I click the check box but it does not help...

Some more details will probably be required. The OS X version will help, as a start.
If you have the diagnostics DVD disk, boot that and see if there are any errors logged.
If this is OS X that's installed on a MacBook Air that you're using, then some of the usual triggers and approaches for resolving the still waiting for root device errors are discussed here. Have a look at that, and see if something in that sequence looks familiar, whether the PRAM reset or the safe boot helps or works here.
If there's any anti-malware, I/O accellerator, antivirus tools or similar installed, get rid of it. At least for testing.
There's a mention of "other OS" in your footer. If not OS X, what is the operating system in use here? If this is some other hardware or software involved, then the triggers for this error can vary. Widely.

Using SQL Query for page item source does not insert populated value

Hi All,
Following are the attribute details of a certain page item on an edit form:
Display As: Text Field
Page Item Source Type: SQL Query
Source value Expression: SELECT a from tab where id = 'ABC'
Although the field appears populated on the screen, but the value is not inserted in the table.
Can anyone help on this?

One solution is to define a pl/sql function that given a date will return the 'run-date'. Something like create or replace function get_prod_date(p_date in date) return date is

BI Publisher Report does not display decimal numbers

Hi,
I have created a one page BI Publisher Report. I generally take the .xdm and .xdoz files and send it to the client which they upload on their server. The report has been coming up fine until recently there was a glitch on the Client Server. Now the report does not show a a section which has decimal numbers. I can see it perfectly on my machine. I am extremely frustrated to search for a solution and client is not very helpful in providing the information what went wrong or what was the fix on their server. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If i am understanding your issue right i guess i have faced the same one while ago.
The solution for this one is, if you are on the latest patch or update, i am on July update
Go to
Administration--> manage Bi Publisher under Bi Publisher --> under run time configuration --> properties --> the last option on the list which is Use 11.1.1.5 compatibility mode true --> apply
now it should be working

Does not format phone numbers

The phone numbers look fine with my Outlook. After syncing contacts using Itunes 12, the phone number format changed (without syncing the spaces and dashes). Anyone has clues to this? It works fine before I updated my Itunes.

I think you will have to build a custom format. In the prefs, click the disclosure triangle button, pick a starting point, and add all the formats you want.
I have a couple of British phone numbers in my book, rest US, and any item I pick does not affect them as they have +44. So...
You need to make a custom list of formats based on the country code and number of digits. I think your list might be long. Ex:
(+32) ### ### ###
(+32) #### ### ###
(+44) ##### ### ###
(+1) ### ###-####

How to retreive documets that does not follow primary numbering series

Hi friends
I was using a plugin which use to retrieve the correct Production order on click of the linked button. Now that during the new financial year once the numbering series was changed i find that my plugin does not retrieve the production order with new numbering series at the same time retrieves those production order which have the old numbering series(primary numbering series).
Is this because of the numbering series getting changed ? Or should i consider something else.

Hi Krishna,
The linked button works on the primary key (DocEntry) in the document header tables. If the DocNum differs from the DocEntry you can do the following to make your linked button work. You can still display the DocNum field on your window and then you can have another (hidden) field that displays the DocEntry field. When you enter the DocNum, search for the DocEntry and populate the second hidden field. Make your linked button link to the hidden DocEntry field.
