Latest Photoshop 14.1.1.415 CC update Crashes Randomly

I can not reproduce consistantly, but it randomly crashes actively when I am working on files since latest update.

  • Extensions Load Slow (Mac) After Latest Photoshop Update

    I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the below:
    (On Mac - Mavericks) The latest Photoshop CC 2014 update has slowed down the loading of my two extension (these are extensions I have created in HTML5). Prior to the update they loaded fine. Also, when I uninstalled one of the extensions and then reinstall it I get error code -180 (no documentation on this error code), I click ok and then open Photoshop and the extension loads (but slow) and when I quit Extension Manger and reopen it the extension shows it is loaded.
    No problems with the extension in Windows 7 after the Photoshop update. The extensions load as before the update.
    Also, error code -180 is a mystery. I have searched the web and can find no reference to it. Any idea where Adobe lists their error codes?
    Any insights on this issue will be appreciated - Sam
    PS - When one of my extension pallets displays a blank window, I click in the pallet and the extension loads. Strange!

    I had no problem downloading the latest Bridge update app but I am unable to download the latest Photoshop CC update app, nor the CS6 update.  I get a message saying to contact customer support.

    Frammis do you receive any specific error message?  If you are trying to apply an update then I would recommend reviewing the installation log files.  For information on how to locate and interpret the installation log files please see Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.  Please feel free to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

  • Cant update latest photoshop via desktop clous app

    I get a notification to update the latest photoshop cc via my destop cc app. I have all programs closed and the update gets to 53% when it stops working........ i get a message that the update cant update. It tell me to close photoshop.exe
    The software is already closed, unopened.
    This has just started happening for the last update.  I have been using the membership over 8 months.
    What is the solution

    Ruthradraw if you are receiving a notification to close the Photoshop application then please utilize the task manager to ensure the process is closed.

  • Latest Photoshop CC2014 update broke layer styles / properties window

    When I create a layer style (ie. LEVELS) and then double click that layer style to open the properties panel so I can then edit... the properties panel does not open. Some other window do not open upon clicking them. Seems like an overall glitch in some of the windows.
    Also sometimes within a smart object it won't let me save that object if there is more than 1 layer.

    Funny replying to myself repeatedly. It seems I have found the problem with no solution in sight. My findings are as follows:
    I am running two external monitors on my laptop (HDMI and VGA), the laptop screen is off. If I unplug one screen, Photoshop is fine with me. No crashes.
    In nVidia settings you can choose what GPU is being used for specific programs. Changing it to the internal one, Photoshop is fine with me. No crashes. Crappy performance.
    I came to the idea of it having to do with dual monitors in my long way through help forums, and one thread here (on problems with 4 monitors) suggested to disable the ScriptingSupport.8li via re-naming which didn't work for me nonetheless. Now it seems up to me whether I'd love to farewell either my powerful GPU or my second monitor for working with Photoshop.
    Still, does anybody have a notion of what else I could possibly do? I won't assume Fujitsu to offer a fix for this, since it is hard to track down precisely where the problem comes from.

    Edit: BTW, Windows settings confirm both screens are handled by/connected to the internal GPU, no matter what Photoshop is using ultimately. That seems like normal behaviour, and I cannot switch since the two ports are on the internal card.

  • Photoshop & AfterEffects CC (2014) Refuse to Update

    Hi all,
    I'm encountering a strange issue with my account...a few days ago an update appeared in CC for Photoshop and AfterEffects. When I attempted to update as usual from the Creative Cloud app, the updates both failed, citing an error code U43M1D204 ("the download appears corrupted").
    At this point I started following existing community suggestions and did the following:
    Deleted the contents of ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0, restarted CC, restarted computer, etc.—no difference
    Uninstalled Photoshop and AfterEffects, then re-installed. They both gave a message stating that installation had completed but that a patch had failed, and thereafter I was getting the same update prompts which failed with the same error code
    Attempted to run updates from within each app manually (Help > Updates...), both of which failed with the same error code
    The last step at least revealed that the problem is Camera Raw 8, which has an update to Camera Raw 9.0. Knowing that, I tried to manually install the latest version of Camera Raw (both 8 and 9) but even after doing so and rebooting, Creative Cloud and Photoshop/AfterEffects still claim they need updating, and of course those updates still fail.
    To make things even more interesting, the same issue is present on my second licensed machine as well, not just this one. Both are Macs, running Yosemite (10.10.3). One is an iMac and one is a Mac Pro 3,1.
    Is anyone else encountering this? Is there some other place that the update data is being downloaded that I can delete to force it to try downloading again? Is there another solution? Would appreciate any assistance.

    Canon 1DX support was added to ACR in version 6.7, 7.1.  An updated CS6 should be at level ACR 8.6.  If your ACR is not at level 8.6 try using CS6 menu Help>Updates.  If that does not install ACR 8.6 try downloading the ACR and DNG 8.6 converter and see if ACR 8.6 will install into your CS6.

    jpg does not support Layers.
    Just to make sure, what exactly do you mean by "stacking photos" and what do you want to achieve thereby?
