Latest update installed, then only 1 tab works. Others show up, but don't work.
The latest update came on Tuesday, I think. The problem was immediate, but I waited a couple of days to see if someone else could report it and it would be fixed. That didn't happen and, because the Feedback doesn't work (it won't fire up in the first tab), I had to find another way. It took a while but I finally got here.
When FF comes up, there's one tab showing. I can use that tab - ONLY. And, if I need to change the page on that tab, I have to back out of FF totally and restart it.
I can click on new tabs and fill the screen with them, if I want, and, I can even click content to the tab - but it doesn't load or show on the screen, even when that tab is selected. I even left several tabs 'cooking' and went back to my AOL browser. When I returned, the tabs were still trying to load but obviously they couldn't.
I am so far behind in my work that it will take me DAYS AND DAYS to catch up. I need to be able to use several tabs plus some bookmarks and other stuff, all at once. I normally have 5 tabs programmed in an, until this update, FF would open with at least those 5 tabs sitting, waiting to get started.
PLEASE, get me up and running as quickly as possible. I really don't want to go back to IE or fire up Chrome because my bookmarks are very important to what I do. I really, really like FF (and hate IE), so PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.
I have exactly the same problem and a reinstallation won't solve anything !
You will even not be able to finalize the installation !
Freeze in Windows Seven after several minutes even after having cleared CMOS + loads of optimal mode or fail safe mode...

I read your solution about reinstalling the OS after a bios update (that's the first
time that I read it and I owned something as 15 motherboards in the last 10 years...but
you have 20k post so I think that you know what you write...)
So I tried to REINSTALL after "upgrade" of the firmware 1.5 of the MSI P55M-GD45.
I did it with a USB KEY....not [email protected] with defaults values !
The only thing to do is downgrade the bios in 1.1 and now no problem @ 3.8 GHz !!!
WHY IS THIS BIOS SO unstable ?
What will MSI do ?
I have never had a so unstable motherboard after a bios upgrade !

Hi, i tried updating my iPhone IOS with latest sw update. I download latest update and then tried to install it. This immediately shut down my iPhone & the icon on screen showed iTune logo & data cable. I havent connected to iTunes yet as i want to know how to backup my data on phone before i complete the update process on iTunes. waiting for suggestions. Thanks
If you are now seeing a screen with the USB cable and an iTunes logo, you'll need to connect your iPhone to a computer with iTunes installed, provided the data on your iPhone hasn't already been lost it should back-up once it's connected in iTunes.

While on reading a post on Facebook my new ipad 4 will reset back to safari or aol and i have to sign in again. this is a reoccuring problem. i have the latest update installed already.
1. Close all inactive apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two and tap the minus sign to close app.

I bought an N73 in September after much research and a lot of deliberating, I decided to purchase one (via O2 in England) even though i had heard lots of unhappy people claiming the phone had ruined their life etc due to its software faults.
I haven't updated my phone yet since buying it mainly due to being put off by the number of NEW problems the updates can cause.
I dont have any major problems with my phone, its got a bit slower with time and the camera isnt very quick when uploading and sometimes switches off (but i think its to do with the slide mechanism on the back), anyway i would be grateful if you would give me your honest opinion as to whether i should upgrade to the latest firmware or not!

The only time the sound/speaker and mic don't work is when I answer or make a call. They both work fine for everything else. This has been going on for over a month. AT&T said it's Apple and Apple said it's AT&T. I've been around that cycle twice.
When I dial a call, I can see the status words on the screen but can't hear the ringing. If the person I'm calling answers, my screen will show the call was connected and the call timer will begin but I can't hear anything and they can't hear me. If one of us doesn't end the call, the timer keeps going and I'm being 'charged' for dead air. (Of course, one of us disconnects so mins/cost isn't an issue, I'm just adding the info in case it helps solve the problem.) If they don't answer, the call will go to their greeting but I can't hear it and wouldn't be able to leave a message anyway because my voice isn't going through. However, they will get a voice mail alert and see that I called but no message was recorded.
If some one tries to call me they will hear ringing but when I answer, they can't hear me and I can't hear them. If I don't answer, they will hear my greeting and can leave a message. I can retrieve and hear my voice mail. Trying speaker phone and headsets didn't change anything for calls out nor for calls in.
I have 4.3.3 and have synched, reset, rebooted, turned things on and off and off and on and took the SIM card out of the phone and out of it's tray and put it back in. I've done all that several times in just about every combination and order possible.
Hopefully the following will provide good clues: On only about three of the many attempts I've made to get it to work correctly that included taking out the SIM card, I could make and/or get one or two calls with no trouble but then the problem comes back. Also, when I swapped the SIM card with another iPhone4 on my plan, the other phone would work with my SIM card but my phone still would not work with the other SIM card. The last fact makes me think it is an Apple issue. I'll go to an Apple store (genius) this weekend. Will I be wasting my time and gas? Anybody have any experience with this problem?Let me try and address some of your questions. I'm only on a pc, so a few of these answers might be slightly different on a Mac, but not too different (such as control click rather than right click).
First, when you buy something on your phone, be it apps or music, it's transferred from your phone to your Mac when you sync your phone. So those apps should now be in you iTunes library. ( IF for some reason you can't find them there, you should be able to download them again, either onto your phone or through iTunes. On your phone, go to the App Store > Updates and you'll see a "Purchased" link at the top of the page, you can view all purchased apps here and redownload them. In iTunes, you can go to Store > Check for available downloads. )
Whenever you plug your phone in, it should create a backup of everything you have on the phone. This is how, provided restoring your phone as a new device doesn't fix the issue (more on this later), you can put all of your music and apps onto the new phone. You can always plug your phone into your Mac and the first thing it should do when it syncs is create a backup. If you want to be sure, you can right click on your device in iTunes (on a pc) or I assume control click on a Mac and select "backup".
The genius will take care of the sim card and setting up your phone, however you will have to put all of your music and apps on it, unless you ask the genius, I've never bothered since I know how to do this.
You should have no problems restoring from a backup if they give you a new phone. However, it's probably safest to try and create a backup of your last phone backup before you restore it as a new device. I suggest you refer to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414 for more information about that.
I've had no problems with my new phone so far.
I'll try to keep checking this thread if you have any other questions or need more clarification.
Edit: I should say we never did figure out what exactly was wrong with my phone. The only thing I can think of was that it got a lot hotter than the phone it replaced, and also the phone I just got yesterday to replace the malfunctioning one. But otherwise they saw no problems with the hardware, but acknowledged it must have been the hardware since we tried everything else. Also I would go with a list of all the things you tried with this phone, for your own reference and the genius's, especially if you're not confident in your tech skills Showing the genius that you've tried: different sim cards, updating the software, restoring it from a backup, and now restoring it as a new device, should convince them that you've done everything you could, and the only other answer is hardware problem.
Also if you don't already have one, make a genius appointment ASAP. Most stores are very busy and their appointments fill up fast. I always suggest making an appointment as early as possible, hopefully before the retail store hours when they've only got techs there because they usually are less stressed and have a bit more time to spend with you. The easiest way to make an appointment is to download the Apple Store app. It detects the closest Apple store from you and makes it quite easy to schedule a genius.

Why my apps are not transferring from PC to iPhone 5? When I connected to PC the icon shows when I select apps it show 'will install' but it never show on iPhone, I re installed iTunes, deleted all apps and downloaded again but its not working pls help.
Next time an app update gets stuck try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons for10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. Wait till your iPad starts on it's own. Try now. Also YouTube is still available. If you can't find it the the app store go to the bottom of the app store page and tap purchased. All your deleted apps will be listed and you can reinstall YouTube from there.

Does anyone else think this is a problem not only with Adobe? I would think Apple would have something to do with this? Wouldn't they get some idea from the developer versions that no browser can open PDFs while running Lion!? My iPhone 4s is stuck after attempting to download the latest update several hours ago. The screen shows picture to connect charger cord to iTunes however, when i do, iTunes is not detecting the phone when I plug it into my lap top. that has never been a problem before now. please help? I have a WiFi home connection. It works on my laptop but has stopped working on my iPad, which I tried resetting but it didn't help. It recognises the SSID but then asks for IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router etc. Any ideas on what to do?.

I am facing a weird problem with my iphone 4s Wi-Fi connectivity. As i connect my iphone to my office Wi-Fi, internet works in one building, but it doesnt work in the other building, although the phone shows Wi-Fi is connected in the other building. This problem was not there earlier but has occured recently. I would also like to mention that none of my other colleauges who uses iphone are not facing this issue. Please help me out!!
