Latest update messed People app up
Since the latest software update the application People (contact list) keeps stopping unexpectedly and I have to force close it. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

Sounds like a corrupted preference file, permissions issue.
Any other strangeness?
Did you make a backup of your files to a external drive?
Did you System Preferences > Network > Advanced > TCP/IP > configure IPv6: OFF ??
Did you disconnect other hardware and drives?
Ok, then lets c boot off the installer disk for 10.6 and second screen in is a Utilities Menu, select Disk Utility.
Next select your boot drive on the left and click Repair Disk (if anything shows up here that's NOT repaired, please let me know)
Next click Repair Permisisons (ignore what you see)
now quit and reboot, to see if your problems continue, can you install the Combo Update now?

Thank you.I found the answer just after posted this. Thanks to a user named CloudWalker. Solution is to go in AppStore, View Account under "Store" Menu and unhide any purchases.

Why is the app store not synced with icloud? Have so many logins and cannot login to one or the other sometimes. Wanted the latest updates to an app my friends already got and could not get the update all day long.

Latest update messes up colours in certain windowed applications.
Hello there, a couple of days ago (April 16th) I installed the latest updates available for my system. This included:
Safari 5.0.5
Security Update 2011-002 1.0
Canon Printer Software Update 2.5
The installation went as planned, but shortly thereafter I started noticing colours that weren't there usual vibrant selves. They were washed out, and tinged with brown. The first thing i check was my colour profile, it was as it should be. Upon further inspection I realized it was only affecting the colours in certain windowed apps. For example, in Adobe Bridge CS5, thumbnails of my work appeared washed out and brown, but if i view the full screen preview, the colours are as beautiful as they should be. Another example, websites appear washed out and brown in the browser (I've only tested in Chrome so far), but when I take a screen shot, then press the space bar to view the screenshot, the colours in the screen shot are vibrant as i expect them to be. However if I open the screenshot in preview, the colours are incorrect.
I also installed the same updates on my MacBook Pro, and haven't noticed any problems.
So what's going on here then?
Cheers.Since changing my screen arrangement so my dock is on the main screen again, I've noticed that the icons in the app folder are all horribly oversaturated.
Please help me Apple, I like my colours to be correct. Microsoft always managed to get it right for a much lower price, so I'm sure you can manage too -
Help the iMovie on my iPhone 4S which the latest version and I'm running the latest software won't upload HD videos to YouTube it just keeps failing in failing and failing again but it will post lower quality videos but I really want to post HD movies so someone please help me also please tell me if this is been happening to you
THere has been a few people on these forums complaining of the same issue now and then.
The easier fix is to export to the camera roll, and send to You Tube from the photos app.

Latest update done, now apps involving internet won't open...Help!!
I installed the latest updaet for my 3G iphone last night and now the apps e.g. Facebook, ebay... that need the internet to run don't work. I have check the settings and I'm hooked into my modem.
Does Safari work? Or is the issue strictly with purchased or downloaded apps?
Try deleting one of your apps and re-downloading it from the App Store. I have seen this work successfully if the issue is with the purchased or downloaded apps.

Slow itouch after latest update: click on app, tries to delete.
After update 4.3.2 last week, itouch is extremely slow, unresponsive. When I click on an app, all the apps wiggle with the black X like to delete an app. I want to restore it, but I am afraid of losing all my apps.
- If all the apps are in your iTunes library then no since they will sync back to the iPod as part of the restore from backup.
- I would get all the app in your iTunes library, then backup your iPod and then restore the iPod from backup.
- If problem persists then you need to restore to factory defaults/new iPod since you may have corruption that is now in your backup. -
you sent me an update on Wed. When I went on my computer on thurs, I could not access Pogo or other sites on my internet.
It happened to me too i cant even stay connected to Ebay Firefox developers what are you doing to fix the mess you created on my PC????

What a pain in the *** this whole process is too. I might as well just delete the freakin' program from the computer and rack it up to nonsense on the Apple end of things. To **** with you. Support ***! Bah! 20 minutes into this process and I have to type and retype over something you suggested I do. Next time I'll take your suggestions with a grain of salt . Fuggetaboutit!

apple did a major step to indicate that aperture is no app for "pro"users. If it should be that it should support not only the latest system version!

I bought an N73 in September after much research and a lot of deliberating, I decided to purchase one (via O2 in England) even though i had heard lots of unhappy people claiming the phone had ruined their life etc due to its software faults.
I haven't updated my phone yet since buying it mainly due to being put off by the number of NEW problems the updates can cause.
I dont have any major problems with my phone, its got a bit slower with time and the camera isnt very quick when uploading and sometimes switches off (but i think its to do with the slide mechanism on the back), anyway i would be grateful if you would give me your honest opinion as to whether i should upgrade to the latest firmware or not!

My iPhone 4s didn't do it until the latest update so imnpretty sure it's on the apple server some sort of bug maybe? Not sure. But whatever it is I really would like to download apps. It won't let me download any apps and my phone is brand new.
Sorry guysy iPhone says unable to download application at this time and I try all day and it still won't let me download no matter how hard I try.

Is there any way to reset my iphone i did the latest update and now i cant download any new apps? I tried to do the general reset but it keeps telling me that my passcode is not correct. This is the same passcode that I use to unlock my phine though to get in to it.

On my ipod touch, i can't seem to get the imessage app.. I have updated my itunes and even restored the ipod to factory settings with the latest update. Maybe the ipod is too old? Is that even a thing? Is there another app I can download to have access to my contacts with imessage?
That comes with iOS 5 (Settings>General>About>Version) and only the 3G abd later iPods can go to iOS 5 or later

Basics from the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW. Unless you've tried ALL of these, you're not done troubleshooting.
