Latest update=no internet in windows vista

After installing the latest software update for my macbook pro, I can't get internet access when I am in bootcamp. It shows I am connected to my wireless network, but no internet access.
I can get connected to the network and the internet on my imac and my macbook pro (when running in osx). So the problem isn't internet access on the network.
Any ideas?

Hi Nikolay!
Have you installed the VPC Additions after setting up Windows? I believe you can insert your VPC CD and install them on the Windows side through the D: drive.
Hope this helps!

  • TS3694 itunes will not install on my laptop any more. The latest update seems incompatible with Windows Vista.

The latest iTunes update will not install on my HP laptop with Windows Vista. There is a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error message and it will not load or set p.

I reinstall Quicktime and it would not launch and gave me the same error messages.
We'd better check to see if some other application has stashed old versions of QuickTime componentry down in your system files.
So we'll go looking for the older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
    Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
    Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files ... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)

  • HT2305 Since updating my laptop from Windows Vista to Windows 7, my Ipod Shuffle, 3rd generation does not recognize last 3 playlist names; it calls them out as "playlist 3, playlist 4 -- even though in the panel the names are showing just fine. The music

I have recently updated my laptop from Windows Vista to Windows 7. I have just added three new playlists to my Ipod Shuffle, 3rd generation. On the panel in ITunes in view on the computer, all looks fine and music plays. However, after syncing a million times, when clicking to "hear" the playlists, the voice will call out all the old playlists just fine - except for the 3 new ones I've added; it calls them out as "playlist 3, playlist 8, or "purchased". All software for the ITunes has been updated as of the moment. Why would switching from Vista to Windows 7 cause this frustrating issue? All help appreciated.

From page 23 of your iPod's User Guide: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPod_shuffle_3rdGen_UG.pdf
If VoiceOver is disabled in iTunes, you hear an abbreviated menu of playlists in numbered order, but not by name (for example, “Playlist 1, Playlist 2,” and so on).
So you'll want to make sure VoiceOver is enabled to correct this.

  • IPod will not update in iTunes with Windows Vista

Every time I connect my ipod to my computer, my computer locks up and it does not update. The only way I can even connect my ipod is to use manual update.

iTunes does not yet support Windows Vista. There are numerous problems running iTunes on it. The latest release of iTuens 7.1 fixed some of them but not all.

  • Are there any known issues with the latest update to iTunes on Windows 7 maxing out the processor and nearly bringing the system to a hault.

Has anyone experienced an issue with the latest update to iTunes (11.2.0.115) for Windows where iTunes pegs out the processor at 97%, 98%, and holds there for maybe 15 minutes before dropping to 50%. During that time, the system is basically useless. You just have to ride it out. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.

  • ACCESSING INTERNET ON WINDOWS VISTA AFTER PARTITIONNG THE HARD DRIVE. HELP?

We have just bought a new Apple Imac. We partitioned the Hard drive, using Bootcamp in order, to install Windows Vista Home edition (so that we can run our Sage Accounting package), We have been able to access our broadband internet with no problems on the Apple side of the partition, however on Windows we are finding it impossible to set up a connect, either ethernet or wireless. When we go into device manager in Vista it states that Broadcom network adapter cannot start (code 10). I believe this is a driver issue; However, I've contacted Microsoft and they have been unable to help, I have since contacted Apple and they said they don't offer support for Microsoft products. So we're basically stuck in limbo!! Can anyone help us or throw any ligt on what we could try next? Any input would be much appreciated. In anticipation of a reply, many thanks.

    I believe this is a driver issue;
You did install those drivers from the DVD that came w/the computer didn't you?

  • Latest update of itunes for windows 7

I see a lot of people are having problems with the latest updagte of itunes for windows 7. I installed the latest itunes update today and it failed twice. In fact it deleted itunes from the program files. I will wait a while to see what apple does about this because it seems a lot of their suggestions are not working.

    How did you fix this?

  • No internet on Windows Vista

    Hi everyone!
I've recently moved in with a friend of mine and I created a wireless network with my Airport Extreme base station for the two of us. My MacBook Pro and iPhone connect to both the network and internet without any problems.
Her computer, running Windows Vista, successfully connects to the network, but it cannot access the internet. It says that she has 'limited access' on the network, yet I have not enabled any setting to make this so.
I'm no good at PC's and neither is she, so does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the problem? I've tried everything - from disabling the system firewall to creating a network free of any security - and nothing seems to work.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pierre

    Good Luck,
I ran into the same issue, tried everything I could think of plus several suggestions from the message boards. Apparently Vista does not play well with Airport. Additionally, Vista is a dog of an operating system, this pc has been an issue since new. Load XP or 7, or better yet, get a Mac, making everyone happier!
BTW, if you go to my posts, you will find a thread and the replies covering your question. Some other poor chap seems to have the same unresolvable problem, and he has worked on it longer than I did. At minimum, it will keep you busy for a day.

  • Problem update ios 4.2 - Windows Vista or Mac: does it matter? pls advice.

been trying to update my iPad to ios 4.2 for 10x, but no good result. been following every possible advices from people in forum who have succeeded updating:
    -uninstall & reinstall itunes
-put iPad in recovery & DFU mode
    -reset iPad to default settings
-be patient and keep repeating the update process (did 10x already)
    ...still no good result!
the update process always finish downloading all 551.4 MB (100% i suppose)after 70 minutes, then the fully downloaded bar shows "processing file", but it always end up with "error 3259/3529" saying i have to check my connection or try again another time (FYI: my connection works just perfectly fine & yes i been re-trying).
am using Windows Vista. can this be the cause of my problem? do upgrade 4.2 can only be done with Mac?
    please advice & assist. cheers.

There is a support article about error code 3259.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2799

Either of these articles should help.
Also antivirus software enabled can cause problems with the downloads in iTunes.

  • TS1717 While installing an the latest update to iTunes, my Windows program sent me a runtime error (R6034).  I can no longer open iTunes. Advice?

While installing the latest updates to iTunes, the istallation stopped and Windows sent me a Runtime error (R6034) and suggests that I contact the applications support team.  A second message appears to tell me that I should reinstall iTunes. Error 7  (Windows error1114)  Any suggestions?

I had the identical problem with Runtime Error R6034s starting this week (on 1/22/2014) when the latest iTunes update installed.  Tried deleting and reinstalling iTunes several times, but that didn't work.  Someone suggested deleting the update.  I found the "Apple Application Support" (93.2MB) update installed on 1/22, deleted it, reinstalled iTunes, and now iTunes seems to work OK.  I don't get the repeated Runtime Error R6034 and Error 7 message, have been able to access the store, and play my saved music OK.  My only concern is that the update will reappear and cause a repeat problem.

You may need to register vbscript.dll as in the following article:

This problem seems to have cropped up quite often for vista users.

how is the installation order for Boot Camp 3.0 ? Shall I install it after the Windows Vista installation or after the Service Pack 1 or 2 because Boot Camp 2.2 need Service Pack 2. If I look in the Boot Camp 3.0 manuals, there aren't any details about Service Pack 1 or 2.
