Latest update OIS - Makes all apps stop working

The lates OIS update, I updated my Iphone 4 a few minutes ago. All apps in the iphone that is pre installed does not work now. Some major bug in the new update?

Edit: Only the Pre-installed apps work. No other app works at all

Unfortunately, this is not an unfamiliar problem on Windows 7. Did this occur after a recent Windows update?

All apps stopped working, and no longer syncs

I don't know what happened but 2 days ago all the downloaded apps on my ipod touch (v3.1.3) stopped working. When I click on them, they start to open, but after less than a second I am returned to the home screen. I've had the touch for a year and have never had any problems with any of the apps. I have restarted and hard reset the ipod, but this did nothing. To make matters worse, the ipod doesn't show up in itunes when I connect to my computer, so there is no way to resync. I thought the cable might be the problem, but the ipod is charging, so the cable must be working. It just doesn't show up in itunes.
I have not done any software updates in the last month or so. I have no idea what to do here.

wow people that upgrade have the same problems with ios4 and im about to try n downgrade to 3.1.3....its almost like apple sent out a signal to mess up our pods and make up buy the iphone4

After latest update Mountain Lion, fan never stop working!

After latest update (26/9/2012 in my case) of Mountain Lion, the fan start working and never stops (Macbook pro 5,5).
Any other have sam issue?
Already tried to reboot SMC and delete everything starting from snow leopard but problem still exist!!!

I keep an old wired keyboard and wired mouse for just such emergencies, but that is not helping you now. There are at least a couple of things that could account for the disappearance of the Bluetooth preference pane.
There may have been a glitch in the installation.
The preference pane will not be displayed if the bluetooth transceiver was not detected when the computer started.
This may seem too obvious, but try completely powering down using the power button on your Mac mini. Wait at least 30 seconds for everything in the mini to fully discharge. While you are waiting to restart, check/replace the batteries in your wireless keyboard and mouse or trackpad. Restart using the power button on the Mac mini.
If that does not work almost anything else will require the use of a wired keyboard and mouse. For years I have kept a wired keyboard and mouse around for just such an emergency, but in a fit of spring cleaning they were discarded. I ended up having to buy a cheap USB mouse and keyboard at Radio Shack (under $20 for the pair but no command key). Install the OS X 10.8.4 (Combo) updater or

After getting those 'free apps' from the app-store (directly with my iPhone3G)... they all worked fine for 1-2 days. I ran them many times without problems.
Now they all stopped working at the same time. (They attempt to load... their main screens appear... then they just exit back to HOME instead.) Web-apps and built-in Apple software, all works fine.
I've tried powering the iphone up/down several times.
I've also tried deleting 1-2 of the apps from the phone... and the re-syncing.
Same problem.
Are there 'fixes' better than:
Drive 1,000 miles back home and re-sync all your apps.
Restore the phone and lose all my settings.
Search, find, download, and re-install all the apps over again. (What if I had >100????)
I need a 100% reliable phone... all the time.
At any time... all my apps might instantly stop working for unknown reasons???

from PC to iPhone... without ever using iTunes?

With all the powerful things iTune does... I would think a simple "copy command" from PC to iPhone... wouldn't run the risk of damaging all my apps on the iPhone. Or could it?

All apps stopped working.

I updated an iPhone app called pocket god, then i restarted my iPhone. When it came back up none of my apps would work, they came up to the loading screen then the home screen came up. I have an iPhone 3G on a windows based computer. When I plugged my iPhone in they started working again. Can anyone tell me what happened, and if there is something i should do so it does not happen again? Thanks

From the sound of it your iPhone lost the store authorisation, when you re-synced it gets those details again from your iTunes copy. Otherwise sometimes you can re-establish it by going to the app store icon and trying to download something it will then ask you to sign in.
Though the 3.0 update should be removing htis issue as it allows you to sign in and out of multiple account on the iPhone without having to sync first.

If it's happening on just the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I use audio memos and files are saved in icloud. while updating audio memo the apps stop working. i cannot access the apps. how can i retrieve the files saved in icloud ?

I can't access the audio memo apps but i can see under usage - manage storage that all the files are located in icloud. how to extract .wav files from icloud if the apps is no longer responding to fileshare in itunes? Thanks.

yes it was solved some time ago. i cant remember exactly but i think i disconnected from the internet and tried accessing the audio apps (or maybe i had accessed the apps first then only turned off internet i cant remember) thereafter the files were in my local apps and then I turned off use icloud. i suggest you backup your ipad on itunes before trying anything. Itunes Match makes Music App stop working on iPhone 4

I've had iTunes Match for about a month and my iPhone 4 music app has been sluggish throughout. Today when I tried to play any music on the phone it refused, I can't play anything. I pick an album, press play and nothing happens - it just stays stuck on zero minutes of the song. So I've had to turn iTunes Match off. It's very disappointing.
I should add that I have a friend who has an iPhone 4S and he has no sluggishness problems, perhaps the iPhone 4 can't handle Match?

I've just discovered my Mac has accumulated 56 crash reports for the Music App this year! I have an iPhone 4 and the iTunes Match service makes the whole phone sluggish.

Ok, so there's a BUNCH of people having the exact same problem as I do (search this forum or Google with the title of this post). And I'm posting this in iPad but it does happen on iPhone too. Summary :
Often after an iOS update (but not always) third party apps stop working. When started, they flash open and then just quit.
Apple built-in apps keep working fine.
NOTHING solves the problem : hard reboot (home+power until reboot), deinstall+reinstall one/all apps, restore the iPhone/iPad, buy a new (free) app from the store to "reset" software authorization, de/reauthorize computer, reset password from app store account, deinstall app and then reinstall using the iPad directly (not via iTunes), etc.
I have one iPhone 4 and one iPad with this issue.
Oddly enough, on the iPad, only apps that have recently been UPDATED crash. Apps that were present and left alone on the device keep working. On the iPhone, there was an iOS update so everthing was reinstalled and therefore doesn't work anymore.
Strangest thing : reset the device to make sure nithing is open in the background, launch an app, app crashes and returns to springboard, double click "home" and... tadaam, the crashed app is in the list of open apps. On the iPad, 4-finger slide does even go to that app's screen (which is pitch black).
As I said, 30 minutes of googling revealed at least 50 identical cases. All seem related to iOS 5.1. My iPhone rune iOS 5.1.1 (that was the upgrade) and my iPad runs iOS 5.1 and I'm NOT doing the update until I can solve this crazy thing.

Please, Alan, I know my message might be a bit long, but do read it! I DID try that and absolutely everything else that was mentionned in the other posts about this subject. Nothing works. And it doesn't work for the others either, not just me.
The only thing I can think of right now is to put the iDevice in DFU then make a clean install and configure it as a new iThingy. This looses all stored data and config so it's a pain in the a... and I won't try it unless I'm pretty sure nothing else can be done. And I'm not entirely sre it'll work, either…

I can see all the apps, click on them, but none of them will open. How can I make them work again, since the Appstore will not allow me to reinstall the apps? The only apps that are working are the ones pre-installed by the upgrade.

Try downloading any free app using the App Store on the phone.

Make sure your apps are updated. You might try Settings > iTunes & App Store > Automatic Downloads - Updates = "On".
You cannot go back to an old operating system.

And it's totally impractical for any OS to provide complete backwards compatibility in perpetuity. So no, Apple cannot grant your request. As WJ said, it's the developers' reponsibility to provide updates to their applications to be compatible with newer operating system releases, whatever the platform might be.

Why do some apps stop working after update to iOS 6?

I notice one of my apps stopped working after the iOS 6 update, in particular Uno HD, which I paid $5 for. Why did this happen?

I had solved the problem by installing the free app, which seemed to reset something, then I deleted the free app, and the paid version continued to work until the next day. I was going to show one of my friends the game, and then it once again would not open- the same problem was back, as soon as I went to open it, it crashed back to the desktop without opening the game. I had to re-install the free version again, and for a while, neither version would work, but then after a while, it started working again. I guess I have to leave the free app installed or I won't be able to use the paid version of Uno.

Just checked again, took the Uno app out of resident memory by double-pushing the home button and holding the app icon til it starts to shake, and then hit the minus symbol, which deletes it out of resident memory.
Went to open it again, and it of course crashed back to the desktop again. So there is some issue with it that is making it unstable.
I have to keep pushing on either one of the app icons continuously until one of them starts, and then the other one will start.
Gameloft needs to do an update.
